Mark returned home and the twins were already inside playing with their toys.
“Mark you’re back! Milena’s not here yet and we’re hungry already!” Isaac said when he saw Mark entering the RV.
“I’m going to prepare our food tonight so don’t worry. We just need to wait for Milena and Nedertu and they shouldn’t be long.”
When the twins heard what Mark said they just went back to playing with their toys. Mark joined in on the waiting by reading a novel on his phone. A few minutes later, Milena and Nedertu arrived at the same time.
Nedertu headed directly to the shower while Milena slumped on the couch.
“I’m exhausted. We did earn a lot of coins and we’ve already put it on the cart.”
“Tomorrow will be the last day we’re selling items since Hamil told me that we’ll leave in a few days.”
Nedertu joined them on the table and Mark asked everyone what food they wanted to eat. After giving Mark their preferences, he replicated the food and they started eating dinner.
“Toby will be joining us tomorrow on our dungeon dive since Hamil asked us to include him. The kid did show me the spell that he cast and said that it would only take him two Fire Bolts to kill a sahuagin. Hamil’s son is so talented, able to learn a spell and can cast them immediately,” Nedertu said while eating.
Mark gaped at Nedertu when he heard what the cat man had said. More than likely, Hamil or Toby failed to mention to their carriage driver that Toby was using a magic necklace that he lent the kid.
“The kid did not learn a spell. He was using an item that Mark lent him,” Milena absently said while drinking soda.
“What?! Why didn’t they tell me?” Nedertu was surprised.
Mark and Milena just shrugged. The twins just kept on eating and he could see that the boys were already sleepy. After dinner, everyone rested early since they were all exhausted.
The next day while eating breakfast, Mark told everyone that he was feeling lazy so he would lie in bed and read a book while Rendira would start teaching the twins again. Milena said that she had some chores to do while Nedertu would continue diving with his team which would now include Toby.
“Mark, do you have another item that has some spell that you can lend me?” Nedertu asked nervously.
Mark laughed when he saw how Nedertu was behaving.
“You don’t have to be nervous about asking me for things like that.”
“Well, it’s just that I don’t want you to think that I’m taking advantage of you since you’ve already provided me a set of armor, which was very powerful by the way when a monster managed to hit me, their attacks just bounced off!, and the Rod of Healing.”
“I will need to check my inventory first since I don’t know what items there on the top of my mind are. That meant that if I found something usable, you would only be able to use it tomorrow.”

Mark knew that he didn’t have any more items that had a spell on them so he was planning to kill the boss monsters on the tenth and twentieth floor since it would only take less than an hour for him to do so but he planned to do it later since he was really feeling lazy that day. He planned to rot on his bed while reading a book and wondered if he was sick or something.
After breakfast, Mark left everyone and went inside his bedroom to continue sleeping first since he was really sleepy. A couple of hours went by and he woke up still feeling sleepy. He went to the bathroom and saw that Rendira was still teaching the twins so after his business in the toilet, Mark went back to lying in bed to take a nap.
Mark woke up an hour later feeling refreshed, dispelling his little worry that he was sick or was some sort of curse or mental attack. When he checked the time it wasn’t noon yet so he went directly to the tenth floor to kill the boss there and was lucky enough to receive a magic blue item with a skill which was called Moon Sword. It would give the user ten to strength and it had twenty-five durability. The sword when used had ten to fifteen physical damage and its skill was called Moon Slash which was a mid-range area-of-effect attack that had forty damage. It had forty charges and would earn one charge per ten minutes.
The boss on the twentieth floor provided only one useful item but it was a legendary purple one called the Ring of Lightning. The wearer would gain twenty to intelligence and twenty to wisdom and it had thirty durability. Its skill Lightning had sixty damage and the ring had forty charges and would earn one charge per ten minutes.
Mark planned to lend the sword to Nedertu and would let Isaac or Aaron use the ring together with the Wand of Ice Bolt the next time they dungeon dive.
After killing the bosses on the tenth and twentieth floors, he went directly to his villa on the eleventh floor and took a bath. He also planned to kill the bosses again once they respawn two days later.
When he went outside his bedroom, Mark saw that Rendira had already left and the twins were playing with their toys while waiting for Milena to finish cooking their lunch.
“Mark you’re awake! Are you sick? Why did you sleep all day? Milena wouldn’t let us wake you up and said that you need rest.”
The twins bombarded him with questions but he could see that they were worried for him.
“I had a bit of a cold but I’m okay now so you don’t need to worry,” Mark assured the kids.
Milena entered with their lunch and was surprised to see Mark up and about.
“Are you fine now?” Milena asked.
“I should be. I don’t know what came over me. I was just so sleepy earlier but I’m fine now.”
“That happens to me once in a while too so no need to worry over much,” Milena assured Mark then they started eating lunch.
While they were eating lunch they heard a knock on their door and when Mark opened it, he was surprised to see the three elven sisters, Hamil and Norunta, outside.
Mark invited everyone in then Hamil asked Milena if she could take the twins somewhere. Milena looked at Mark and he nodded. She gathered the twins and they went outside while saying that they should visit the dragon since it was quite some time since they last rode it.
“What happened?” Mark asked Hamil and the others.
“Didn’t you notice? Someone attacked you. A powerful curse and when we felt it we mobilized all the mages in the circus to pinpoint where it came from. The mage who attacked you was a third-circle mage. One of the adventurers who just arrived yesterday,” Norunta said.
Mark was flabbergasted when he learned that he was targeted by someone.
“You don’t need to worry though since we already killed the mage,” Mentorra said.
“Why did he attack me? Is that why I was so sleepy earlier?”
“We interrogated him before we killed him. He coveted your things and the curse that he did was from a scroll that he got from a dungeon. It’s a fifth-level curse scroll that would put the target into a coma. Your being awake meant that your mental defenses were powerful enough to ward off the curse.” Eilintraee said.
Mark’s body was suddenly filled with goosebumps when he heard that some random mage coveted his things enough to curse him using a high-level scroll.
