The next day Mark asked Milena to look after the twins since he would be gone for the entire day and would return at around four or five in the afternoon. He planned to continue dungeon diving and reminded everyone that he could be contacted in an emergency by the elven sisters.
“What do you do in your magical place, Mark? Do you go to your big house in the golden forest, or do you go to the oasis?” Isaac asked.
They were eating breakfast, so Nedertu was there as well, and both the cat man and Milena were intrigued either by what Mark was doing in his dimension or the fact that he had a big house in a “golden” forest.
“I’m continuing my studies as a magician and doing magical experiments to increase my knowledge of my spells and to increase my powers. That’s why I learned how to summon the void dragon.” Mark replied to Isaac.
“When are we going on vacation to your magical lake together with our friends?” Aaron asked.
“I have no idea. We would need to talk to Hamil and the others first but probably not this month since everyone is busy with the new dragon roller-coaster, and the circus is also planning to include new attractions like a haunted house or something like that.”
After the twins' questions, they concentrated on the breakfast that Milena prepared and after a while, they ran outside after saying they would join their friends while Milena followed them. Before Milena exited the RV she asked if they would re-open the candy stall today and Mark had forgotten about that.
“Sure, we’ll open it after I return. I’ll try to return early.”
Milena smiled and went to follow the kids. It was obvious she liked the candy stall. Nedertu also went outside after cleaning off the rest of the food and told him that he would help with whatever the circus needed.
When everyone was gone, Mark anchored the dungeon portal on the bedroom door and went directly to the twenty-eight floors.
He paused for a bit and thought of the fact that he had forgotten to tell Hamil that he would be gone for the day but since Milena and Nedertu were aware of where he was, he was sure that they would inform the circus leader.
The twenty-eight floor was still the same as the twenty-seventh. It was dark and gloomy like the setting of a horror film. There was one major difference. He could see a castle in the distance and nothing else beyond it. That meant that the whole floor was going to be the castle.
Mark then knew that there were limits on where he could summon the void dragon in case, he wanted to use it in battle since it was huge, the inside of a castle would be a disadvantage to it. He wondered if he could recruit someone as his tank, but he really didn’t need one since he was powerful enough that he was sweeping off the monsters in his dungeon without any issues.

It was just he was a pussy, and he still felt a bit apprehensive about dealing with the undead type of monsters. Mark was sure that he wouldn’t have any issue if the monsters were the regular ones like kobolds, orcs, or goblins but ghosts, vampires and zombies gave him the heebie-jeebies.
Mark knew that the best thing that he could do was to just continue fighting until he got used to it. He wondered if he needed therapy and he laughed. This time, he decided to fight using his Space and Void Chancellor offensive spells and avoid using his summons to get used to fighting the undead directly. He then thought of when Nedertu and his colleagues would enter the Culano dungeon.
He then thought of entering it to check it out. He again wondered if he should enter the Culano dungeon by himself or with a party. Mark would think about it after he was done dungeon diving floor twenty-eight.
Mark entered the castle and was surprised at how fancy it was. He expected it to be huge but dilapidated like the castles in horror films, but everything looked surprisingly intact. He was in a huge hall with a large staircase going to the second floor. In the middle of the hall was a beautiful crystal chandelier that was lighting up the whole place. The walls were covered with paintings of different things, some were places, and some were people. He was sure that if it were dark, the paintings would have been scary.
Suddenly the light from the chandelier disappeared and the place turned dark. Mark immediately summoned a mage light and summoned his Bush Golems. The place suddenly turning dark broke his resolve to fight alone but then again, the powers that be should be grateful that they didn’t hear him scream like a girl. He commanded the golems to stay by his side.
Mark saw the paintings that had people in them looking at him and he felt his hair standing up. He then saw movement at the corner of his eye and some of the people inside the painting started to crawl outside. He identified some of them and they were unsurprisingly called “painting ghosts.”
There was a total of five painting ghosts that crawled out. They all looked pale with huge eyes and mouths and their limbs twisted unnaturally.
Mark calmed himself and reminded himself that he was a powerful wizard. He used Telekinesis on one of the painting ghosts and was able to hold it floating then he cast Glacial Void to slow down the other four and they actually froze. He cast Void Chain Lightning and was startled that that was enough to destroy the four ghosts.
Using his Telekinesis, Mark brought the ghost over to examine it. Looking at it closely made Mark realize that the ghost was truly scary. It kept twisting in place and its limbs were unnaturally long and limber. Its eyes and mouth were wide and when it opened its mouth it was full of sharp teeth like a shark’s.
Mark tried talking to it and just like the vampires it didn’t respond and was just smiling at him with its wide mouth full of shark teeth. He destroyed it with Void Lighting and kept the drop that came out from the group of painting ghosts in his inventory.
He commanded the Bush Golems to follow him and used the summons as company. Even though he summoned the golems, he wasn’t using them for offense so in a way he stuck to his resolve of using Space and Void Chancellor offensive spells to explore the castle.
There were three other rooms on the castle’s first floor. Two halls were to the left and right of the main hall and there was also a hall or a room at the back behind the staircase.
Mark turned to the right to explore the right hall first and he noticed that it had a stair leading down, possibly to the underground floor or the basement. He suddenly felt an urge to just exit the castle and try to destroy the whole thing using Void Meteor. He wasn’t sure if the dungeon would allow him to do that, but he should have tried first.
The two bush golems were unable to climb down to the basement so Mark dispelled them and would resummon them again once he reached the ground floor of the basement area.
