The Space Floating Disc was moving slowly forward as fast as a man could walk and Isaac complained.
“Mark, can you speed it up a bit?”
“No, I can’t. I don’t want us to suddenly stumble into a group of enemies! Don’t be impatient.”
Mark led the disc near one of the glowing plants so he could check it out closely. When they got near one, of course, he didn’t touch it with his hands. He used Telekinesis to pluck one of its flowers but unfortunately, the moment the flower got separated from the plant's body, its glow disappeared. The flower was still very pretty though so he harvested some and kept it in his inventory. He was going to put it into a vase and study it a bit.
After gathering some of the plants and flowers, Mark commanded the disc to move forward. When they neared the bend, everyone heard some noise. The moment they turned they saw a group of fishmen. He summoned all of his plant golems which were the two bush golems, two tree golems, and two Ancient Guardians.
Before he commanded the golems to attack, Mark identified one of the fish monsters and the system said that they were called Sahuagins. He remembered reading books from one of his favorite series which was The Harpers Series under the Forgotten Realm series and sahuagins were one of the monsters there and he wondered about the similarity of the names of the monsters.
Mark then thought of the fact that maybe the system was identifying the names of the monsters based on his knowledge which was gleaned from countless fantasy books and web novels. He just shrugged and didn’t bother thinking about it anymore. Maybe someday once he became a sage, he would conduct a study but for now, he commanded the golems to attack the six fish monsters.
All of the golems rushed towards the monsters and when the fishmen saw the attacking plant golems, they also rushed to confront their new enemies. When the monsters met, everyone could feel the slam that happened when the two groups engaged. They all saw that the plant golems were clearly at an advantage which was not a surprise since Mark’s level was very high.
“Attack!” Suddenly Toby shouted then he equipped his bow and shot arrows towards the sahuagins.
The other children followed suit by using their slingshots and the pebbles rained down on the monsters. The pebbles barely hit the sahuagins and those that did just bounced off of their skin. Even Toby’s arrows bounced off from the monster’s skins when he managed to hit them.
The plant golems defeated the fishmen even before Toby reached for his fifth arrow.
“So did you guys feel strength coming into your bodies,” Mark smilingly asked the children including Toby once the plant golems defeated the fish monsters.
“I feel it! I feel stronger!” Toby exclaimed.
Mark, of course, couldn’t believe it so he asked permission from the boy to cast the identification spell on him.
“What’s that spell?” Toby asked.

“It’s a spell to check if your strength increased after defeating the monsters,” Mark replied.
Toby gave his permission so Mark cast Identity on the boy. The system only showed him that Toby was a non-profession holder, meaning he was a normal person.
“It says that you didn’t increase in strength. Maybe you will need to do the last hit or even kill the monster,” Mark suggested.
“Maybe you’re right,” Toby said forlornly.
“You know what, let me hold one monster with magic for you later and I’ll let you kill it to see if that will increase your strength.”
Toby perked up when the boy heard Mark’s suggestions, and then the other kids clamored that they wanted the same thing and he had to promise that he would do it for them as well to pacify them.
Mark then saw the monster’s corpses floating on the water while the golems waited.
“Are we supposed to just leave the corpses there?” Mark asked Toby.
“Hamil told me that dungeon monsters have mana stones inside them. Do we need to dig them out from their inside?” Toby asked back.
“Nedertu did tell me that monsters on the first floor of the dungeon usually don’t have mana stones so I think we better just leave them be.”
Mark and the children then moved forward by Mark commanding the Space Floating Disc to move forward slowly. The next group of sahuagins was defeated by the golems as well but this time Mark used his telekinesis spell to hold one and keep it alive. After the plant golems defeated the monsters, Mark brought the monster that he was holding using a spell near them so Toby could kill it.
“How do I kill it?” Toby asked.
Mark shrugged and told the boy that he usually killed stuff using a spell. He checked his inventory for any weapon and he did find a sword that dropped from his own dungeon’s monster.
“Here, can you use this sword without injuring yourself? That’s a magic sword that will add to your strength so be careful,” He told the boy while handing out the sword to Toby.
“I know how to use a sword. Hamil taught me how.”
Toby then used the sword to slash the monster’s neck and the sword wounded the sahuagin. The other kids cheered Toby on and shouted that he could do it. After repeated slashing at the fish monster, Toby finally separated the monster’s head from his body and everyone saw some sort of energy coming out from the monster and going into Toby.
“Now I feel it! I feel it!” Toby shouted.
Mark used Identify on the boy and the system panel said that Toby leveled up to one. It also stated that he earned a stat point and a skill point. He wondered how the boy would assign the stat and skill points since they didn’t have access to a system panel so he asked Toby.
“Hamil told me that I can use the entrance of the dungeon to summon my personal power book and I can use it to assign the powers that I earned to the physical attribute that I would like to increase. Honestly, I want to be a wizard just like you so I was planning to add the first power that I earn to my mental attribute,” Toby said.
“Did I do something wrong? You’re only fourteen and I was told that a person can only enter a dungeon once they’re sixteen. That meant that you’re two years earlier than normal,” Mark asked.
“Oh, you did nothing wrong. The sixteen-year limit was imposed by the government handling a specific dungeon for the children’s safety not some hard rule. Rich nobles usually let their children enter much younger so they would earn their power statistic younger.”
“Do you mean that anyone in this world could earn statistics as long as they defeated a monster?”
“No. Only very few would earn a profession by killing monsters. Hamil told me that everyone knew that only one out of a thousand people could be one. I was confident that I would be a profession holder since Hamil told me that all the men in our family were one and there was never a case that anyone didn’t become a profession holder,” Toby answered Mark while looking at him weirdly.
“No need to look at me like that! I come from a different country and we do it differently there. I will need to have an in-depth discussion with the elven sisters then.” Mark looked at the twins worriedly and wondered if he should allow them to kill the monsters as early as possible.
Since they were inside the dungeon, Mark decided to help the boy by allowing Toby to kill a monster per group but he would hold off in letting the other kids do it.
