Mark listened to Albert’s plans regarding the magic the kid planned to learn. At first, he thought he would listen but wouldn’t expect anything but Albert’s planning was unexpectedly well thought out. Given that the system that the kid concocted was based on the magic system based on books and games but it was robust and intelligent and the moment Albert learned the actual spells he could refine his personal system.
Albert’s ability to plan his magical system showed the kid’s potential as a wizard or at the very least a fantasy author but given his ambition and his strong support base, which was his extremely wealthy parents, Mark didn’t doubt that the kid would go a long way in his magical path.
Soon everyone was done selecting the profession they wanted and as expected, they were all able to become profession holders. Mark didn’t know what would constitute a person’s disqualification to become a professional. Was it something random or some sort of body constitution?
Solinae once mentioned that there had been deep research done by elven researchers on that but no one she knew was privy to the results of that research.
“Please don’t share the specifics of the job that you selected since according to my friends from the circus, it was supposed to be a closely guarded secret since it would pertain to your power. You can still choose to share the general description for example, Albert told me that one of the options that was shown to him was Starlight Mage. If he selected that and somebody asked his profession, he could just say Wizard,” Mark told everyone.
“Okay then. I chose the Warrior profession geared towards tanking,” Sam said.
Mark knew that Sam would choose something like that since he had always chosen a melee character and his favorite was being an off-tank.
“I chose an archer profession,” Armina said and again it was expected since according to her, being an archer was part of her family’s heritage ever since although honestly, everyone in the group doubted that and had been a teasing topic towards her from the start.
Their group was almost always amused to see Armina’s top blowing off when they kept denying that her family had a history of archers in their blood.
“I chose a wizard profession,” Enleed said and like Mark, he had always chosen to become a mage which always became a contention among the four of them since they always tried to strong-arm him to choose a healer since they didn’t have a healer on their small group.
But this time, Mark reiterated that they should choose what they truly want since it pertains to their life.
“I didn’t know what to choose but what I know is I don’t want to become a fighter and I also don’t want to hit enemies so I chose a healer profession that uses plant magic. The magic works on our world right?” Melissa asked and Mark answered that it should work without any issue.
Albert’s parents chose to become a wizard and a healer, respectively. So did Donald and Elizabeth.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“I would have chosen to become a warrior but I’m getting old and I don’t think I would have the energy to wield a sword,” Donald said.
Mark knew that the women would mostly choose a healer profession but he was surprised that Robert chose a wizard-type profession.
“Magic is fascinating and I think it would be very useful on Earth,” Robert simply said.
“As you may have seen, all of you are level one and you don’t have any spells. You will need to buy spells using the spoils that you will receive diving into a dungeon. It would be easier for you since you do have the items that I gave you which were more than capable of letting you kill the monsters in the Novice Dungeon. I recommend that you separate yourselves into smaller groups so you will encounter a smaller group of enemies. Once you formed a group, talk to me if you need anything like a healing item,” Mark told everyone.
“Can we dive now? We’re here anyway,” Albert said excitedly.
“No, since there are a lot of us here and that meant that there will be a huge number of enemies per encounter and we already planned that this time was for you all to get a profession.”
Albert looked disappointed everyone else understood what was supposed to be done that afternoon. Mark almost laughed when he saw Robert glaring at his son.
“One thing I can do to all of you though. I’ll give you freedom. All of you can access the Warp Gate to go home anytime you want and you can go ahead and use your money to purchase items from Earth that you can trade with the locals here but please use your common sense when choosing items that you will use for trade. Better yet, any item you want to use for trade must be vetoed by the Circus Leaders and you should give the circus the first right to purchase the items that you want to trade.”
Mark didn’t specify which items they should use for trade since all of his friends were very intelligent and Sam, Enleed, and Armina were veteran otakus and were aware of what should and shouldn’t be traded. He also was sure that the others who weren’t sure what item they could trade would seek their advice. Not only that, having Hamil and the other circus leader examining the items would give them another layer of protection to make sure that the items they would trade would not cause undue attention or disruption.
“Now all activation of the Warp Gate would last for ten minutes so please plan your comings and going to avoid repeatedly activating the gate since it does cost me mana. Lastly please avoid involving anyone else since all of us here are still unfamiliar with this world and any involvement by others would only cause huge complications.”
After their talk, Mark told everyone that they should leave the dungeon. Once they exited, Sam asked Mark for some mana stones that they could use for the entrance fee since he, Blake, Enleed, and Armina were all planning to head back inside the dungeon since they had a complete set of gear including a healing item that would allow them to dive the dungeon safely.
Mark gave Sam the mana stone but reiterated that they shouldn’t go to the floor beyond their level. If they completed a floor and their level was still the same as the floor, they should just exit the dungeon and run the same floor again. Once their level increased, that was the time they could go to the next floor.
Everyone promised that they would follow Mark’s advice. Albert then asked if they could do the same but with a word from his father, the kid stopped.
The twins laughed at Albert but the kid teased the boys back saying that he was now a wizard and they weren’t and that made the twins pout. Liriel laughed when he saw her older brothers pouting.
“Mark, when can we choose a job?” Isaac asked.
“When you can read and understand the professions being offered to you,” Mark replied.
Everyone then returned to the circus except for Sam, Blake, Armina, and Enleed. Melissa didn’t join her brother and decided that she would join the rich couples instead since she overheard Donald and Robert would create a detailed plan to make sure that their dungeon dive would be very safe.
