Chapter 118

Chapter 118

The next day, Mark and his friends including Donald and his wife and Robert, and his family assembled in the studio again to complete the 8th floor of the dungeon.

When they entered the dungeon, everyone rode Mark’s Space Floating Disc until they reached the place where they stopped. They continued battling multitudes of monsters without any problem and by the time they completed the floor, everyone upgraded their dungeon armor sets. As usual, Robert and Donald purchased the items that they wanted to use, and Mark kept the rest and destroyed them using his Inventory Material Destruction skill for crafting materials.

The group then went home after eating and Mark rested and played since he would do the government healing session the next day. After that, he planned to solo dive and complete the 22nd floor of the dungeon.

Mark thought of the fact that he had not encountered anyone of the one hundred and twelve people that the system randomly chose. He thought maybe he was the only one who was stupid enough to be so open about his skills and remembered the fact that the other systems were vastly different from what he had, and everyone had a different boon so more than likely, he was the only one who had the dungeon that allowed him to grow more powerful. Since it was all speculation, Mark just shrugged and continued playing on his computer.

The next day, Mark completed his Dryad Circle session with the government and thought of the fact that there were a lot of famous and rich people who were sick since everyone on the other side of the room where he cast his spell was famous and recognizable. Some of them were not even Americans but were celebrities and politicians from all over the world.

Mark asked Agent Harper what explanation they were giving to the sick people, and she said that they were claiming it was from an ancient artifact.

The next day, Mark went to the 22nd floor. When he arrived there, he saw that he was on a beach and knew that he was on an island. The beach was beautiful, but he was wary of checking the ocean since there could be monsters there and he didn’t have any skill that would allow him to breathe underwater. The tropical jungle also looked a bit sinister to him. It was massive and looked like it was ancient, like the place where you could see dinosaurs roaming. He cast his Bark Skin, Space Shield, and Flight skills and moved forward.

The first group of enemies that he encountered were a trio of Velociraptor according to Identify and Mark confirmed that the monsters that he would be fighting on this floor would be dinosaurs. When he saw the dinosaur running to him, it gave him goosebumps. He immediately cast Void Tsunami to push them back then Glacial Void to freeze them. After casting Void Hurricane and Void Chain Lightning, the reptiles died. He kept the three dropped items and then continued moving forward.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The next group of dinosaurs that he encountered consisted of one Tyrannosaurus Rex and four Velociraptors. The T-Rex was huge and for testing purposes, he summoned his Forest Guardians, Tree Golems, and Bush Golems to check how they would do against the dinosaurs. Mark was surprised to see that the Forest Guardians had spells they could cast. He saw them casting Bark Skin and summoned Vines to entangle the dinosaurs and because of that, they won the encounter.

Mark thought that the 22nd floor would be difficult, but he was still finding it very easy considering the fact that he was already level 75, it was not truly surprising. He then kept the loot and moved forward. He rested and ate when he felt a little tired and hungry and afterward just moved forward. Flight was a really good skill since he avoided traversing the jungle’s difficult terrain. Bark Skin and Space Shield also prevented him from getting any scratches from the sharp leaves and branches.

Mark fought different types of dinosaurs, including flying ones, and was able to defeat them without any problem. After he was done with the 22nd floor, he went outside for a moment to check if he received any messages. There were some but all of those could be handled at a later time, so he went to his villa on the 11th floor to rest and count his earnings.

Mark leveled up to 78 from 75. He earned a total of three skill points and three stat points. There were no longer stats and skill points being dropped from monsters which made Mark a bit forlorn. Still, his total skill points were 69.

He Identified all the items that he got and immediately destroyed the white items for crafting materials. Mark upgraded his mage armor set and kept three full sets of leather armor and mage armor since those sets had high stats. He also found two storage rings with Intelligence and Wisdom Stats and a storage amulet with the same stats. The storage items had three cubic meters of storage capability and that meant that every one of his friends would now have storage items.

Mark found only three notable items. One legendary purple item and two magic blue items with skills. The legendary purple item was called Purple Sword of the Berserker. It had 40 to 50 physical damage. It would give the user 25 Strength and 20 Dexterity, and it had 50 Durability. It had the Passive Skill Live Steal wherein the user would receive 10 percent of the damage dealt as heals.

The next item was a simple magic blue item but the benefit it provided was great. It was called the Amulet of Strength and it would provide 30 strength to the user.

The last notable item was also a magic blue one and it was called Earrings of Truth. It gave ten Intelligence and had the passive skill Detect Truth. The user would be able to determine if the one talking to them was speaking verily or with deception.
