Mark happily told his friends what happened to him when he was transferred to Planet Veltun.
“At first I thought I was going to arrive in a chaotic world filled with wars and magic. I wasn’t truly afraid for myself since I was powerful even then and I have a huge inventory filled with all the things I could ever need and an ability to replicate them anytime I want.”
“Wait, what?! You can make a copy of everything that you have in your inventory?! Sam told me that you stored an endless variety of food and countless gadgets as well as generators and fuel. He even told me that you stored different cars, even an RV! Since you can make copies of them anytime you want, you’re basically a god!” Blake said.
“To be honest, yes. But only when it comes to producing things from Earth. Remember that Veltun is a magical world with powerful dimensional beings. The items they had were powerful as well. For example, they have food that’s made from magical beasts. And since I couldn’t replicate anything that contained magic or mana, that meant I was still limited to ordinary things. I once fought with an Emperor Lich and when it came to battling with it, I was proud to say that we’re equal in power, I think. That meant that if there were more than one of them, I would be at a disadvantage and possibly die.”
Mark couldn’t fault Sam for sharing things about him with his fiancé, Blake. First of all, the relationship looked serious, and second, they discussed before he left that there was little chance for him to be able to return so soon.
“Why did you adopt those kids that you mentioned?” Armina asked.
“Well, I was with this girl named Natasha and she was Captain of the Guards of a city that our circus visited,” Mark said then had to pause since everyone heckled him and Enleed whistled.
“Was she beautiful,” Enleed asked.
“Yes, she’s one of the most beautiful women I’ve seen even compared to our Hollywood actresses. By the way, we had to end the relationship since the circus only stayed in her city for winter and she’s a noble with responsibilities. That meant that she was supposed to follow her family’s decision when it came to marriage and things like that. So to continue about me adopting the kids, she was assigned to investigate a dangerous mission that was only given to her because back then, everyone in the government of her city knew that I was going to follow her to keep her safe since they acknowledged that I was very powerful. The mission was about an emerging cult who were possibly worshipping an evil god,” Mark paused since he wanted a drink.
He looked at everyone who was focused on his story.
“God, it felt like one of our DnD games!” Sam said while Melissa went to get drinks for everyone.
When Melissa returned with cans of Coke, everyone asked him urgently what happened next with the mission.
“We arrived in this small village and the “god” that the cult was worshipping were three powerful ancient beholders. We managed to kill the beholders but the village protectors who were a couple of adventurers were killed by the beholders and they left their children who were twin boys. The villager wanted someone to bring the boys away to the city to be put in the orphanage because of some silly superstitious nonsense about them being cursed. Natasha decided to bring the twins away. I felt pity towards them so I decided to adopt them as my brothers.”

“Good for you man!” Enleed cheered and even Armina was beaming at him.
“You mentioned that it was winter, was the journey to that village difficult?” Sam asked.
Mark drank some Coke and answered his best friend.
“Honestly, it wasn’t. As mentioned I can replicate anything I brought from Earth and one of them was that expensive RV that I bought so I used that to travel.”
“Man, adventuring a magical world inside a very comfortable RV. That’s a dream! I want to join you,” Enleed said dreamily.
“Well, I’m here because I wanted you to join me.”
“What about the little girl that you mentioned before? How did you meet her?” Armina asked.
“That one was a bit weird. During our travel, there was this instance that I felt tired and sleepy all the time. I thought that my otaku habit was returning but it turned out, I was being cursed by a wizard. My friends in the circus managed to track down the wizard who was cursing me and killed him. They found the little girl in his room. She looked so tiny and pitiful but fortunately, according to our healer who is a powerful witch, the little girl didn’t encounter any physical abuse. The trauma that she possibly experienced was real though but we didn’t know for sure since she wasn’t talking. She’s only three years old. Instead of giving her to an orphanage, I decided to keep her as well and I gave her a name which is Liriel. One of my favorite characters from a Forgotten Realm Series.”
“I know that book!” Enleed said.
“We all know that book,” Sam retorted and even Blake nodded.
“Why was that wizard cursing you?” Melissa asked.
“To this day, we didn’t find the reason why,” Mark answered.
Lunchtime arrived so everyone decided to go out and eat and Mark readily accepted since it’s been quite some time since the last time he ate in a restaurant on Earth. When they returned, everyone got busy applying for leave from their jobs although it was simple to most of them since everyone was working from home and was managing their own business. Sam and Blake were game streamers so they just needed to tell their fans that they would be gone for a week.
Armina was just freelancing so she didn’t need to do anything and Enleed actually wasn’t working, just rotting inside his room and Melissa was the same. It was only made possible because of the money that all of them earned by diving into Mark’s dungeon before and since the house was theirs given by Mark, they were living rent-free and just needed to pay electricity, internet, and water bills.
Armina, Enleed, and Melissa were with Mark in the living room while they were waiting for the others to conclude their business of making sure that everyone who needed to know they were leaving for a vacation knew.
Since they could return to Earth anytime they wanted, Melissa wanted to join them to have a look at the other world.
“Are you still in contact with Donald and Elizabeth and Robert, Danielle and Albert?” Mark asked Armina.
“Yes. We’re all still very close. Also, Robert is blaming us for turning Albert into an otaku,” Armina and Melissa laughed.
“I owe them a lot so can you video contact all of them right now?”
“Actually all of them are in California right now. Albert is here since Comic-Con is coming up and of course, Robert and Danielle had to go with their son,” Armina said then she went to her room to get her laptop.
Soon a group Zoom call was conducted but what shocked everyone on the call was Mark was the one they saw instead of Armina.
“Hello, bitches! I’m back!”
Mark heard and saw everyone screaming then suddenly they all said for him to wait and they would all go to their house and the Zoom call immediately ended which made him laugh.
