The next day came and while they were eating breakfast Nedertu said that the city of Melona gave the go-ahead and the circus would open at 10 am that day.
“What about the Warp Gate?” Mark asked his driver.
“It would probably take more time. Hamil and the others are still in Narcone with the delegation from Melona. I think that both cities were just making sure that the portal would not be used as a method of invasion or something like that.”
Mark rolled his eyes when Nedertu said that. Although the warp gate could be used like that, the fact that both Narcone and Melona were powerful cities with powerful mages meant that the gate could be dispelled anytime if they wanted to. Narcone also studied that Warp Gate in detail and now Melona was still doing the same thing.
He thought that they were just trying to find out how the spell worked so they could adapt it and take it for themselves but Eilintraee once said that the kind of spell was already available. The funny thing was that gate spells were usually in the hands of truly powerful beings and wouldn’t bother to use them like how they were using it, to invite customers to their circus.
“What form of advertisement did the circus make to invite the citizens of Melona?” Mark asked Nedertu, Milena, and the others.
“None. Hamil thought that word of mouth alone was enough. Everyone knows how powerful your movies are. Once one person had seen it, it was inevitable that that person would invite somebody else to see the movie. It’s like a virulent disease that goes through a city leaving none alive,” Milena said and everyone laughed while Mark just smiled wryly.
Mark did understand since he knew how powerful wonderful media content was as evidenced by millions of otakus on Earth.
After breakfast, the children ran outside to play with others followed by Lisa this time. When Mark went outside the RV he was surprised at how plentiful the Star Wars theme decorations were around the circus as compared to yesterday. He had to admit that people from the circus could do anything they put their minds to. It almost felt like he was walking inside a huge comic con centered around Star Wars.
Soon, the opening time arrived and a few people trickled inside the circus. There’s only an average number of people but everyone expected that especially since they didn’t advertise. Not even using the most common form of advertisement which was spreading flyers.
The moment the customers saw Yoda though all of the customers were intrigue. It’s rare to have a large summons appear in a circus and to use it just to entertain people. Soon there was a long queue in the booth that sold the ticket to ride the Yoda Roller Coaster.
When Mark visited the theater tent, a few people were watching the trailers on the huge television set outside the tent, and almost all of the people who stopped to watch the ads purchased the movie tickets even though the prices were astonishingly high. The first movie showing would be an hour before noon and only one of the theater tents was open.

The circus planned to keep the other two theater tents closed until a lot of people had seen Star Wars Episode IV. That meant that the gaming café was also closed to customers as well.
Mark returned to his RV to pass the time watching an anime. Soon noon arrived and he prepared food for himself, the kids, and Lisa and he prepared lunch boxes for Milena, Nedertu, Norleen, and Connor who were now in the Convenience Store.
Lisa arrived with the kids and they started eating lunch.
“The movie exploded. After the first screening, those who had watched the film were seen running to the city presumably to invite their friends to watch the second screening that would happen after an hour,” Lisa said.
Mark just nodded since they all expected as much. After their lunch, everyone went to the store to give their lunchboxes to everyone there. After that, they went to the gaming café so the twins could play the Star Wars The Old Republic game while he and Liriel watched Elmo’s World. By request, he connected the laptop that showed the kid’s show to the large television and the twins' friends watched with him and Liriel.
He must say that the twins were true Star Wars fans since they didn’t watch the kid’s show and just continued playing the game. Mark overheard them though when one of their friends asked if they didn’t like Elmo. They just told the kid that they could watch it anytime they wanted in their RV and Mark just shook his head.
After a couple of hours, Mark asked Lisa to look after the kids and he went back to one of his favorite activities which was roaming the circus. Looking at the long queue in the cinema ticket booth, he was guessing that in a day or two, news about the film would explode in the city and soon the circus would be full of people.
He then wondered when Melona would allow the Warp Gate to function since once it did, the crowd in the circus would explode almost exponentially but the real reason why he was a bit anxious about the Warp Gate was, once it’s functional, he could establish the gate inside his RV and then connect it to Earth. He would then finally learn what happened to his friends and then after that, invite them to this world.
The good thing about his Warp Gate was he could hide the connection to Earth so that he was the only one who could see it given that he was the owner of the spell it was understandable that his control over it was one hundred percent.
Since the first screening was done, he could hear the anxious voices of the people in the queue about not making it to the second screening. Not to his surprise, most of the people queueing were young people.
“I heard that tomorrow or the day after, Star Wars Episode V will be shown!” Mark overheard one of the people lining up said to his friend.
“Actually, according to one of the circus people that I’ve befriended, there were nine shows in total! I’m trembling in excitement! I just saw Episode IV and can’t wait to see it again,” Another one said.
“They’re called movies or films not shows. Why are they showing Episode IV first instead of starting with Episode I?” One of them asked.
“According to the person from the circus that I talked to, the powerful archmage who released the films said that the secret would only be known to those who had seen the whole nine films!” One of their friends said.
Mark almost laughed out loud when he overheard the young man say that. He only said that to blow off the person who asked that very same question since he didn’t want to get into details regarding that particular issue. It had been an ongoing debate for decades on Earth and even the “Official” explanation was contested by hardcore fans.
“I also heard that there is a magical gaming tent that will let you assume a person from the Star Wars Universe and play as that person, having adventures and exploring the universe and different planets but the cost of that game was tremendous!” A young man said.
When Mark heard that, he knew that Hamil was correct in assuming that once the movie was seen, the popularity of Star Wars would explode so they didn’t truly need to advertise.
