Chapter 210

Chapter 210

Mark returned to the RV once the lesson ended. He was happy with his progress in learning how to read and write the common language. He was even told that he was beginning to lose his accent and after a few more lessons, he would sound like a born and bred local, at least in this part of this world.

When he arrived in the RV, the twins and Nedertu were waiting for him to prepare their lunch. His coach told him that as usual, Rendira already left to prepare lunch for her family and would see them later at the theater to watch Star Wars Episode VI The Empire Strikes Back.

While they were eating lunch, he told Nedertu and the twins that he would not be joining them in the theater because he had something to do in his dimension.

“What do you do there, Mark? We’ve seen your house there,” Isaac asked.

“I’m working somewhere else in a place you haven’t seen yet.”

Isaac went back to his lunch after hearing what Mark said and he thought of his plans of tackling dungeon level twenty-four. He knew that the setting of the floor would still be the prehistoric island filled with dinosaur-like monsters.

After lunch, the twins said that they wanted to take a nap so they could watch the movie and play with their friends without getting tired, so they went to their bunk beds and did just that. Mark saw that Nedertu was resting in the living room, so he entered his dungeon. He went to the eleventh floor first to check his house there.

There were still some traces from when the twins last stayed when he, Natasha, and Lossa went to conquer a wild dungeon. He cleaned up everything and went to check all the rooms. When he was preparing the furniture and devices in this villa, he thought that he would spend an ungodly amount of time in this place but ever since he was transported to this world, he barely visited it. He was still glad though that he had a place that he could retreat to just in case. As of right now the most useful and largest machine that he kept on replicating was the recreational vehicle which he spent around three million dollars to purchase together with some customization. It was a good thing that his MP could support replicating the vehicle even so far as to replicate at least three of them at the same time. More actually, with the help of his Floating Sunflower skill.

He remembered that at first, he planned to create a tiny home filled with furniture just like the ones he saw on YouTube since some of them were truly gorgeous but then he remembered that one of his favorite web novels was about a guy who was in an apocalypse with an RV and a system, so he chose to purchase one instead since he didn’t lack the money. With the help of Sam and his other friends, they looked for the best one without regard for the price. The good thing about his friends was they didn’t ask any questions about why he wanted to buy one.

After checking every room in the villa, Mark went directly to the twenty-fourth floor of the dungeon. As expected, the environment was still the same as on the twenty-third floor. He assumed that it would change on the next floor.

Mark cast his buff spells, Space Shield and Bark Skin for protection. He was glad that there was an indicator in his point of view of the duration of the skills so he could always refresh them when needed. Next, he cast the Fly skill although he decided to walk first and only fly around on the difficult obstacles. He wanted to sweat and walking on a difficult terrain was a good exercise. The flora and fauna were still the gorgeous exotic ones that he’d seen but he was thankful that didn’t attack him or something.

He expected that sooner or later, he would encounter a floor wherein the flora and fauna would attack him, but this floor wasn’t one of them. While he was walking, he was ambushed by a group of tiny vicious dinosaurs as big as a chicken. He was so surprised at how silent they were, suddenly appearing from the bushes.

Mark was so glad that his Space Shield and Bark Skin together with the total defense provided by his armor was enough for the little monsters to not penetrate his defenses and reach his skin. He panicked a little and flew a bit and then cast Void Chain Lighting. He noticed that although the Void Chain Lightning hit the tiny monsters, most survived so he cast Glacial Void to freeze the little buggers and it did the job. The monsters were tiny enough that all of them froze and when he identified one of them, they were called Compsognathus.

He was sure that the tiny dinosaurs may be similar to the ones he’d seen in the Jurassic Park films but fundamentally different. He wondered if the dungeon made by his system was creating monsters based on his imagination, but he guessed he would only know the answer once he was high-level and advanced enough of a mage.

Mark was surprised to see that after killing the little dinosaurs, he was able to get three items from them. That ambush really surprised him, and he wished he had some sort of detection spell. That was also one of the reasons why he was keen on learning the magic of this world since it would provide him with utility spells, he assumed, that would help him a lot in his adventures.

After he was calm enough, he kept the loot in his inventory to be checked later and continued his dive. He decided to walk again but this time he made sure that he was checking the surroundings thoroughly.

To avoid being surprised by any monsters that might appear from the undergrowth, Mark decided to utilize Telekinesis to ruffle them to make sure that nothing was hiding but that slowed him down a lot and he was sure that he wouldn’t be able to finish the floor before he had to go outside and meet with the twins and Nedertu.

He wanted to make sure that he would be there once the movie ended to avoid worrying anyone. When he checked his watch, he saw that he had plenty of time, so he moved forward.
