The twins were not used to eating the local cuisines cooked by Melina and they were verbal about it.

“I was hoping to eat a hamburger Mark,” Aaron asked.

“I wanted a pizza,” Isaac added.

Both of them were saying those things even though they were eating what Melina cooked with gusto.

“Well too bad for you. You just have to get used to eating the delicious food that Melina makes and after dinner, you will have to help her clean up the dishes okay?”

The twins pouted but nodded their obedience.

“Can we watch a new movie after we help Melina?” Isaac asked.

Melina and even Nedertu looked up to listen to Mark’s answer regarding the kid’s question. He could see that everyone wanted to watch a new movie but Mark felt tired. He wanted to rest. Suddenly, he felt exhausted and wanted to sleep. It’s possible that he was feeling a bit down about not seeing Natasha ever again.

Hamil mentioned that the whole circus decided something ambitious this year. They would not return. They would continue to travel to reach every corner of the world and Mark was all for that but right now he was feeling sad about Natasha.

“I’m tired kids and I’m sure you feel that you’re full of energy but it had been an exhausting day with our move. It would be better if we rested early. Melina will read to you the first book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter, and the Sorcerer Stone. She would need to start from the beginning but I’m sure you don’t mind that since when I was younger, I’ve read the book thousands of times.”

“Okay, Mark you go to sleep. Melina will read to us the book and it’s all right if she starts from the beginning.” Aaron said.

After dinner, Nedertu said that he would roam the circus first and the twins asked if they could come with him for a bit when Nedertu looked at Mark, the cat man saw him nodding indicating his permission.

“I’m going to take a shower and sleep. Enjoy your evening everyone.”

When Mark said that the twins came to him and hugged him.

“Sleep well Mark, we’ll play for a bit and come back later.”

It was one of those moments that vindicated his decision to accept the twins in his life. He felt alone for a second but then the twins showed him that he was not. The fact that the boys were sensitive was due to their life experiences which was sad but the majority of people in this world had to grow up fast because this was a world where any moment, you could be destroyed by a monster.

Hamil told him that his great-great-great-grandfather had to rebuild the circus because, during one of their travels, almost all of the members were killed by a dragon who just suddenly flew over them and without reason breathed fire over the circus. That dragon was later killed by a powerful wizard who was an acquaintance of Hamil’s family but the funny part was, that the wizard was not hunting the dragon, just traveling with his family from visiting their relatives from another city and when the dragon flew over intending to burn them like it did with the circus, the wizard of course would not allow harm to befell on his family and at that time, he was one step away from being a legend. It resulted in the dragon’s head becoming a decoration in the wizard’s mansion.

After that story, Mark wondered how he would defend the circus if something like that happened and he remembered that he reached the level where the new set of spells appeared but still hadn’t gone over through them. He would handle it tomorrow but tonight he still felt tired and wanted to go to sleep.

It was still early but after showering, Mark went to his bedroom and slept. The next day, Mark woke up groggily and when he checked the time, he was aghast to see that it was already noon. Sleeping for sixteen hours indicated that he was depressed but checking on his emotions and condition, Mark thought that he was a bit better. When he went outside his room, he saw food laid down on the table and a note. While eating he read the note and it was written using the kids’ handwriting. It said that they would go on ahead with the cart and he could just reach them when he woke up.

They probably expected him to oversleep for just a couple of hours, not several hours. He wondered if they were worried by now so after eating his breakfast but considering the time should be his lunch Mark went outside and put the RV in his inventory, cast Fly, and flew towards the way the circus was going.

Since he was flying so high, Mark saw the circus after a few minutes and after several more minutes of flying at his fastest speed, rushed towards where his cart was.

When the twins saw him they cheered. He could clearly hear the boys shouting.

“Mark! You’re finally here, we were getting worried!”

When he landed, Nedertu told everyone that he was right and that they shouldn’t worry.

“When the circus was preparing to leave, we saw that you were still asleep so we decided to let you sleep since we know you can catch up to us when you wake up!” Isaac said.

Mark ruffled the boy’s hair.

“Thank you for that. You all don’t have to worry, I’m fine now. I was just a little down yesterday but now let’s go ahead and continue our adventure!”

The twins cheered then they saw Hamil riding his weird bird mount coming over.

“Mark, we saw you fly over. When we asked Nedertu he said that the twins insisted that you were still sleeping and were tired so we shouldn’t disturb you. They said that you’ll catch up to us. I’m glad that you’re here now. I just want to tell you we’ll arrive in the next village two days from now but we will not set up there since it’s a very small village but we will stop for a day there to rest. The circus doesn’t have its momentum yet so a lot of folks were a bit tired.”

Mark told Hamil that he understood and the caravan leader went back to his cart.

“So, what happened since last night?” Mark asked everyone.

“Milena read Harry Potter to us for two hours! She loved the book so she couldn’t stop. We had to stop her since we’re so sleepy.” Aaron said which made Milena blush and Mark laughed.

“I’m glad that you enjoyed the book, Milena. It was one of my favorite books.”

“I can’t help it. The day-to-day lives of Harry and his friends in their magic school were very entertaining. It made me wish that I were young again and received a letter from Hogwarts inviting me to join their school.”

“I’m thinking that Mark learned his magic in Hogwarts he just doesn’t want to admit it!” Isaac said which only made Mark laugh some more.
