Chapter 264

Chapter 264

Night arrived and the circus caravan camped at a very nice campsite near a spring brook. The water nearby made everyone in the circus happy since they would be able to refill their water tanks and a lot of them started a bathing and washing clothes session.

Of course, Mark’s family didn’t participate and Nedertu was particularly smug about it since he kept bragging that all of his clothes were cleaned by magic courtesy of Mark.

Milena was a bit grumpy about it since Mark and Nedertu forgot to tell her about the fact that he could clean clothes using magic, she had been cleaning hers by hand. Mark didn’t notice since she had been doing it out of sight.

“I’m sorry Milena, we forgot to tell you. Next time put your dirty clothes in the laundry basket and I’ll clean it for you.”

“How do you clean clothes? Can I see it? I don’t want you rummaging through it since some of them are a bit…scandalous,” Milena said in a throaty voice then she laughed.

Mark kept forgetting that she was one of Madam Luzviminda’s girls.

“Get your dirty clothes and I'll show you.”

Milena then went somewhere and when she came back she was carrying a bundle of clothing. Mark put the bundle in his inventory and proceeded to use his skill Inventory Item Restoration and all of Milena’s clothes were restored as if all of them were brand new.

“That’s it? It only took a few seconds and everything looked new!” Milena checked her clothes minutely and was impressed with Mark’s cleaning magic.

After that particular stretch ended Mark summoned the RV and everyone went inside aside from Milena since she went to the cart to prepare their dinner.

“Mark, what are we going to do tonight? Are we going to watch a film?” Isaac asked while Aaron and Nedertu looked on expectantly.

“I will teach you to play one of the best games that was invented by my people. You know that an adventurer group tackles dungeons or does dangerous missions and that they consist of diverse members like warriors, rogues, wizards, healers, or priests?”

The twins and Nedertu nodded.

“Since tomorrow we’re all going to be busy, I’ll teach you my favorite game about them. It’s called Dungeons and Dragons.”

Mark summoned a complete Dungeons and Dragons campaign set board game from his inventory. It consisted of the usual things like the dice, the game master book, character sheets and pieces, and the board game itself but he chose a simple short one since the players would consist of children and beginners.

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

When the twins saw the campaign set box they got excited since it did look like toys. Mark then told the twins and Nedertu all about the game and what the rules were. Nedertu joined them as well since according to him the game was interesting.

Mark of course was the game master. Isaac chose to be a wizard; Aaron was persuaded by his brother to choose a healer and Nedertu chose a warrior.

All of them were enjoying the adventure when Milena interrupted them saying that it was time for dinner so they paused and started eating.

“When I was younger and my friends and I were playing DnD, that’s what we call Dungeons and Dragons, we don’t pause the game. If we’re hungry we continue playing while eating pizza,” Mark told everyone.

“Why didn’t we do that then?” Aaron asked.

“Because you’re children and you’re not allowed to do that. You can only do that once you’re an adult,” Mark said to the kids which made them pouted. He really enjoyed seeing the boys pout since they were so cute.

After dinner, Milena joined them in their DnD session as well and she chose to be a Rogue. The game lasted for two hours and everyone enjoyed it very much. The game excited the kids so much that Milena needed to read to them the second book of the Harry Potter series before they could sleep.

The next day after breakfast, Mark kept the RV in his inventory and the circus began their travel. Mark then told the twins that Rendira would be coming soon to continue tutoring them for a couple of hours. He then anchored his dungeon portal on the cart’s door, said his goodbyes to everyone and reminded them that he would return late in the afternoon, and in case they needed to talk for an emergency, they could tell the elven sisters and they would call him.

Mark summoned the portal and went to the eleventh floor of the dungeon to his villa. He wanted to spend his skill points first. He had a total of seventy-three skill points left since he did put skill points to Void Black Hole and Void Dragon and their requirements.

The first spell that Mark focused on was Floating Sunflower since he needed it for MP management. The spell would regenerate his MP rapidly which he would need to continue casting his spells. Right now, it was level three so he added seven skill points to the spell making it level ten. At skill level then, the Floating Sunflower would regenerate his MP by fifty-five MP per second to a total of 1100 MP for the full twenty seconds of its duration at sixty MP casting cost.

That brought down his skill points to sixty-six points. At first, Mark thought that he had plenty of skill points but looking at the situation, he knew that he could only bring a few spells to level ten which was not the max level, and based on the help section in his system interface, skills did not have a maximum level for now.

Mark then cast Floating Sunflower to check its effect and how it looked. The sunflower appeared floating but there were three of them and they were very bright comparable to a soft mage light. His MP regenerated rapidly but not only that, he felt his body was being refreshed and he remembered that Floating Sunflower also relieved fatigue and the level ten Floating Sunflower almost brought him a high sensation as if he was being pampered in a spa.

That meant that leveling up his skills to a certain level would bring changes to the spell so now he was excited to learn what changes would happen to the other spells.

The next spell that Mark wanted to level up was a healing spell. At first, he thought of which spell to level up, Dryad’s Circle, Forest Sanctuary, Forest Paradise, or the new one which was The Land of the Chosen. He decided against the new one or Forest Paradise since it might consume a lot more MP than he could support but he was still undecided on which to increase between Dryad’s Circle and Forest Sanctuary to level ten.
