Chapter 297

Mark arrived in the RV just as Milena was putting food on the table.

“Mark you’re here already!” Isaac said.

“I didn’t leave for the day. Earlier I roamed the circus, and I got stuck in the theater group with Linuel and the actors. I lent them some equipment that will let them record their play so soon we should be able to see a video recording of some of their plays. It would just be like a movie.”

“I want to see it!” Aaron shouted.

Milena said that she was interested in what Linuel, and the others would be able to produce.

“It would probably be a while before they would have something we can see,” Mark said.

Fortunately, Milena cooked enough food for him to join them for lunch. While they were eating Mark informed the twins and Milena that they were going to start selling their food later at around three in the afternoon. He was still planning to roam around the circus. The twins talked about the circus children following Nedertu to the Culano Dungeon’s entrance.

Milena smiled a bit and said that before if something like that happened the guards would have shooed the kids away but now, they were especially tolerant.

“I’m guessing that the villagers were respectful since we now have a dragon,” Milena then laughed heartily.

After lunch, the twins ran outside while yelling that they would join their friends while Milena followed them. Mark went outside as well to continue roaming around the circus.

The next group that he visited was Norunta in her cart. There were actually injured people lining up, but it seemed that the injuries were mild ones like bruises and broken bones. He noticed that there were some villagers as well and he wondered why they were lining up here instead of going to their local healer.

When Norunta saw Mark, she left the patient to a girl who he assumed was a new apprentice and joined him.

“What are you doing here?” Norunta asked Mark.

“I’m just roaming around the circus to check everything. Why are there villagers here? Don’t they have their healers?” He asked the witch.

“We charge less compared to their priests and healers and the village healers were fine with it since we will not stay here for long.”

“Is that girl your new apprentice?”

“Yes, since Sunetta is of age now. She had the option of going on her own as a healer or remaining here in the circus, but usually, young ones had adventurous blood and would take off. If they miss the circus, they will usually come back after a few years, and we always welcome them back with open arms as long as they didn’t commit any heinous crimes.”

“What about Sunetta? Do you think she’ll go off and become an adventurer?”

Norunta laughed loudly.

“Before you came, she always said that she wanted to become an adventurer, but she soon changed her tune. She hoped to become your apprentice especially after you summoned the dragon.”

“Unfortunately, my magic can’t be taught to others. It’s tied to my identity.”

“like bloodline magic? I reckoned it’s that way and told her so, but she said that because of the things you brought into the circus, she wanted to see all of those. Honestly, I would do the same since your movies, food, and probably other things kept surprising me.”

“I’m also learning your magic. The elven sisters are teaching me. I already memorized first-cycle spells and could have climbed on a higher circle, but I got busy making my magic more powerful.”

“Well, if you want some spell books, I have some and we can trade. I would like some of your gadgets as well. Monterra showed me the device that you used to trade for learning magic from them and I fancy one myself.”

“Once I go back to learning spells from your magic system I will go ahead and trade with you.”

After his talk with the witch Norunta, Mark continued roaming about. He arrived where the dwarves were staying, and they were in full-blown party mode.

“Mark you’re here! Come join us and drink some ale.” Nilfur said when he saw Mark.

He was given a huge mug of ale and Mark joined the dwarves in partying. They were singing some ribald song about a dwarven woman who had her face trapped in a hole in the wall of the dwarven men’s bath. It was so funny that Mark almost fell under the table laughing. When he checked the time, it was already three in the afternoon so he said his goodbyes to the dwarves and told everyone that he would need to open his stall. The dwarves urged him to drink one mug full of ale before they let him go.

Mark was drunk when he returned to the RV, but he cast Dryad’s Circle on himself to release himself from his drunken state then he went and took a shower to get rid of the smell of ale from his body.

When Mark arrived in the makeshift stall where they sold their products, he saw that there was already a small tent behind the table, and the signboards with the pizza menu were already set up. Milena and her two friends were already waiting, and the twins were also sitting behind the table.

He saw two men who were acting as bodyguards and recognized them as Madam Luzviminda’s boys. They do look pretty and it’s funny to see them trying to act tough. The village girls were eyeing them but thankfully they were not advertising their usual profession.

Mark didn’t have anything against their profession. It’s part of life but since the twins were there, he didn’t want them to learn those kinds of facts, at least not until they were older.

He went directly inside the tent and began replicating diverse types of pizzas while pointing to Milena and her two friends which ones were which.

“You can go ahead and eat as much as you want,” Mark told Milena and her friends, and he reminded them to tell the boys who were strongarmed by Milena to act as their bodyguards so that they could eat as much as they could as well.

After a few seconds, the whole tent was filled to the brim with boxes of pizza and when he went outside, he saw the two leaders of the village were waiting.

“Hello Neder, Kilan, how may I help you?”

“We just wanted to buy some more donuts from you,” Neder said with a straight face even though they really didn’t buy the donuts from him and just took boxes of them for free the day before.

“Oh, I’m not selling donuts today. These are called pizzas,” Mark gave the two village leaders slices of pizzas. He gave Neder a pizza overloaded with meat and Kilan a slice of Scallops pizza. He told them what kinds of pizza were there and what they were made of.

Mark was amused at the expressions of the old men when they ate the pizza slices. After they finished the slices, he then gave them several dozen boxes of pizza. They left the place with faces full of smiles.

When he sat at the table, he saw the adventurers and villagers enjoying the pizza slices they purchased, and some were saying that they were thankful that it was cheap. Some of the richer adventurers even bought boxes of pizza.
