For a few minutes, Mark forgot about the world and enjoyed playing in the water with the twins and Liriel and their friends. He used his Telekinesis and splashed water at the kids. Even the women who were swimming joined in on the fun.
Mark then saw Hamil and Zenethor join them in the water with their shirts off. Toby and Deo were trying hard to drown his father with all of them laughing out loud. There was almost a desperation in the way the adults enjoyed the water, which was more than likely brought on by the relief that the battle with the undead was over and there were no casualties.
After an exhausting hour of playing in the lake, everyone retired to where the table was and Mark had to conjure massive amounts of food to satisfy all of the people. When everyone was fully satiated, Hamil announced that they needed to go back to the caravan since everyone there would be worried if they did not return soon.
Ignoring the collective complaint from the children, Mark opened the portal and they all returned to the caravan. He was planning to go back after a few minutes though to do some cleanup.
When they got back to the caravan, the children ran back to their family shouting at the top of their voices describing the lake where they had been.
Mark was glad that there were no traces of the battle that everyone had just been in. He knew that battles like that were part of this world but he would have liked the children to retain some of their joy and innocence and he was hoping that a visit to his oasis paradise would help with that.
The caravan then started to move since Hamil wanted them to be very far away from where the battle with the lich happened just in case the powerful lich returned for revenge.
Inside the RV the twins kept telling Mark they had fun with Liriel and their friends swimming in the lake.
“Mark, when are we going back to the oasis? My friends didn’t get to stay long enough to fully enjoy it!” Isaac said.
“Yeah we haven’t fully completed our ocean battle and then we haven’t explored the mansion fully yet!” Aaron added.
Liriel babbled at Mark copying her brothers which made Mark laugh and that made Liriel angrier.
“We’ll return there soon. Hamil wanted to have a meeting later tonight so we have to attend that first,” Mark lied to the twins.
Mark then went to Nedertu and asked when they would arrive in the next village or town.
“The next village is four days from here and Hamil told everyone that there will be no unexpected stop. If you haven’t noticed yet, we’re traveling faster than usual,” Nedertu said.
Mark went back to the living room. He was a bit worried about the lich that escaped so he decided not to dungeon dive yet, at least not until they were far enough or in the middle of a prosperous city. He played with the kids with their toys until the caravan stopped for the night. He then retrieved Nedertu and Milena’s RV so Milena and her assistants could start cooking their dinner.

While they were waiting for dinner, Hamil and Halinda visited Mark’s RV.
“What can I help you with?” Mark asked after he invited the couple in. The twins and Liriel ignored them and kept playing with their toys.
“We just want to thank you for all you did during the battle with the undead,” Hamil said.
“You also kept the children safe and instead of us worrying, we were enjoying ourselves in your mansion in a desert paradise. That was truly a beautiful place Mark,” Halinda added.
“Mark also has a castle in a golden forest!” Aaron suddenly shouted interrupting their talk.
“Yeah! We stayed there in the golden forest and played with many toys!” Isaac added.
Hamil and Halinda gaped at him.
“You own several dimensions!?” Hamil asked flabbergasted and Mark just smiled.
“By the way that lich was very powerful. It was powerful enough to contend with the archangel Vikander. Should we worry about that enemy?”
“We should but wouldn’t. It’s had always been a part of life in the circus that we would encounter powerful enemies. Sometimes after one battle, that’s it but there were times when some enemies were hellbent on getting their revenge. We would always handle them as they came and we rarely suffered defeat because if worse came to worse, everyone would just hide and gather again in some secret location that was previously decided.”
“I see. That’s good then. The twins were clamoring that they didn’t spend enough time with their friends in the oasis and were asking when they could return there.”
“We could probably allow everyone who wants to go there on a vacation once we’re inside a prosperous and powerful city that would not let something like a powerful lich enter.”
“You heard that kids, we can’t go there right now. We need to reach a city first.”
“Why! Just let Yoda eat the enemy then we don’t have to be scared and wait to get into a city,” Isaac complained.
“Well, the enemy this time was very powerful so Yoda wasn’t able to defeat it and it escaped. There’s a chance that the undead skeleton would sneak in the caravan and steal you, kids away.”
The twins ran towards Mark and hugged him and when Liriel saw her brothers, she followed suit.
“Hey, hey, I’m sorry kids, I was just teasing you. You know I’m a powerful wizard. No one could take you away from me.”
The twins were actually shivering and Mark felt deep regret for saying those things to the twins. Liriel suddenly cried when she saw her brothers afraid.
Hamil and Halinda said their goodbye when they saw Mark had something that would keep him busy.
“You know what if you’re really afraid, we’ll stay in my realm and no one would be able to reach us there.”
“Can we go there with our friends?” Isaac asked quietly while hugging him.
Mark felt stupid for scaring the twins. He forgot that the monsters under the bed in this world were real.
“Okay, I’ll go talk with Hamil.”
Mark went outside the RV to talk to the circus leader. He was carrying the three kids. Liriel was hugging his neck while the twins were both in his back. While walking towards Hamil’s cart, everyone who saw them laughed. When Hamil saw them, the circus leader laughed.
“I need to talk to you. The twins were afraid that the monster would return and snatch them away so we’ll be staying in the oasis for three days. We will return the day before we arrive in the next village. I will anchor the portal to the oasis on my RV so Nedertu will still drive it to follow the caravan. They were asking for their friends to come as well so I’m asking some of them to come with us.”
“How many kids are you asking to come with you?” Hamil asked while laughing.
“Ten!” Isaac shouted.
“No! it should be at least fifteen!” Aaron added.
Mark ignored the twins and told Hamil that he could only handle an extra four kids so Hamil asked the twins who they wanted to invite. Deo was one of them and they spouted three names that Mark didn’t recognize.
Hamil nodded and told Mark and the twins to expect the kids after dinner. The twins cheered and Liriel followed suit but they were still clinging to Mark tightly. Mark then asked Hamil to include Toby since he would need someone to help him watch over the kids since he wasn’t planning to include anyone else.
