Mark, the twins, and Toby were busy killing the fish men in the dungeon on the first floor when suddenly Toby asked him if he knew how to identify a male sahuagin to a female one. He just shrugged and told the teenager that he didn’t.
“Why are you asking anyway?” Mark wanted to add “Are you having any urges?” then remembered that Toby was just a boy so he held himself from asking.
“I don’t know. I just remember that in some circumstances, we shouldn’t be hitting girls. That meant that if you can identify a boy from a girl fish monster, you can just let me kill the boys instead.”
Mark laughed when he heard that and Toby blushed.
“Why shouldn’t we hit girls?” Isaac asked while Aaron looked on waiting for Mark to answer.
“It’s because girls or women are more fragile than men in general and they need to be protected. They are our mothers. We all should protect those who carried us in their womb because they have experienced the hardship of growing us inside their body. Most of us experienced the unconditional love that a mother could give and they are generally the only ones who can do so,” Mark explained patiently to the twins.
“I remember when Father was still alive before he attacked the monsters who killed the people in our old village, he told us that we are men of the house now and we should protect Mother,” Aaron whispered while Isaac nodded.
“Mother hid us under the bed and we told her to join us but she said that she would be fine and would wait for Father outside the room,” Isaac added.
“That’s why we don’t hit girls. But this world is violent and there are special circumstances but for now, the general rule is don’t hit girls, okay boys?” Mark told the twins and they nodded.
“What about girl monsters?” Aaron suddenly asked remembering Toby’s comment about girl fish monsters.
“Monsters that attack you don’t count especially those that you can’t communicate with since the only thing they want to do is kill you or eat you,” Mark was explicit since he didn’t know if there were monsters that they could communicate with and thought, If they can communicate with those monsters, should they be classified as monsters or another species?
Mark just shrugged and shelved that moral thought for a later time.
The children were becoming faster and faster in killing the monsters until their equipment ran out of charge.
“It’s lunchtime anyway so we can take a break and eat lunch. What do you want to eat guys?” Mark asked the kids.
The children made their order then they enjoyed eating their delicious lunch on top of the Space Floating Disc dry and comfortable.
“Sunetta told me that when they were diving, they were always wet and uncomfortable and here we are floating on top of a magic board, dry and comfortable and eating delicious food,” Toby reflected.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
“That’s the advantage of having a lifestyle wizard in your party,” Mark boasted.
“What’s a lifestyle wizard?” Aaron asked.
“A wizard who is focused more on convenience magic instead of offensive or defensive spells. It’s a term from where I came from. Convenience magic is just like the one that I’m doing, conjuring food and other stuff that will make life easier.”
“I want to be a convenience wizard just like you!” Isaac stated.
“I don’t know if they have something like that here,” Mark smiled.
“It doesn’t matter. I still want to be a wizard just like you!” Isaac was firm in his stance of becoming like Mark.
Mark just laughed and after lunch, they went back to killing monsters. Unfortunately, the wand and the necklace couldn’t keep up with the twins and Toby’s expenditure. Since it was already one in the afternoon Mark decided to kill the remaining monsters in the dungeon as fast as he could so they could leave.
He then asked permission from Toby and the twins if he could identify their stats with him needing to explain to the twins what identification meant. After a long explanation, the kids clearly didn’t understand they just nodded that they permitted him. Toby, of course, allowed him to do so as well.
After identifying the children, Mark told Toby that he was now level four and the twins were level two. Toby already knew what to do with his stats since Hamil was there to guide him but with the twins, Mark would not let them touch it yet, not until they were older.
It was around two in the afternoon when they left the dungeon and while Toby was excited because of the strength that he acquired and the fact that he let Toby keep the necklace until they left the village of Culano, the twins were clearly tired so he brought them home and after taking a shower, asked the kids to take a nap.
In the living room, Melina was still busy reading the Harry Potter book and was surprised to learn that she was already in the fifth book of the Harry Potter books, The Order of the Phoenix.
When Mark joined her on the living room couch, Milena paused her reading and turned to him.
“When are we going to have the next Harry Potter film festival? We still haven’t seen the fourth to the seventh movie,” Milena asked.
“It’s going to be Hamil’s decision when that was going to be. By the way, the seventh book was split into two movies,” Mark said.
“In my opinion, each movie should have been split into at least a minimum of four movies each. They missed a lot of details but you did warn us.’
Mark smiled when he heard what Milena said.
“Do you know there are many games that were made based on the Harry Potter books but the latest one was perfect. It’s called the Hogwarts Legacy. Let me show you.”
Mark then set up his PlayStation Four then ran the game. Milena was fascinated to see the game but he only played for less than thirty minutes since they needed to set up their stall.
“So, what are we going to sell in the stall? You told everyone that our products today will be catered to men,” Milena asked.
“You know what, I don’t know. Let’s just go there first and I’ll think about what to sell.”
Mark left a conspicuous note on the table telling the twins that they were in the stall selling items and to go there once they woke up.
When Mark and Milena arrived at their makeshift stall, he was surprised to see that the stall was now actually more elaborate and not just a table anymore.
“What happened to our table?” Mark asked.
“The circus fixed it since your stall is actually one of the biggest attractions in the circus even though it’s only open for three to four hours a day. Hamil regretted the fact that he didn’t speak to you when you first opened your store since the price of your items actually affected all the others since customers kept complaining about why their prices were high when yours is dirt cheap. Everyone needed to explain that you’re a powerful wizard who was selling things on a whim for an unknown enjoyment and that you will stop once you get bored with it.”
Mark felt sorry for what happened so he decided that if he did this thing again in another location, he would need to consult the circus on the correct pricing of his items first.
