Mark plant summons were all level five and that meant that they were stronger and sturdier compared to before. He summoned the Bush Golems, the Tree Golems, and the two hulking Forest Guardians and commanded them to attack the ghouls who were roaming the middle of the cemetery beside the gloomy road.
The ghouls ran toward the plant summons when the monsters saw them and then ten zombies crawled from their graves to walk slowly towards the battle between the plant golems and the ghouls. Three wretched ghosts appeared from somewhere and attacked the golems as well. Mark assisted his summons by casting Forest Sanctuary on top of the summons and the massive healing that the summons received revitalized them but what ended the battle was the massive damage the healing brought by the Forest Sanctuary to the undead.
Mark was really glad that the healing from his plant healing spells caused damage to the undead.
The fact that the forest creatures inside the Forest Sanctuary grew in number and attacked the undead brought the monsters’ demise faster and Mark didn’t even need to cast any other spells. He only needed to cast Forest Sanctuary twice and the battle ended. Even though there were three elites in the undead group based on their sizes which were an elite ghoul, an elite zombie, and an elite wretched ghost did not matter since the golems and the forest creatures made short work of their destruction.
Three drops came out of the recent battle so Mark kept them in his inventory to be inspected later. He also felt another level up but avoided inspecting his status and continued his exploration of the twenty-seventh floor.
Mark thought of his recent battle and concluded that there were two ways for him to fight. The more active one was to utilize the spells under the Space and Void Chancellor tree which consisted of him casting devastating spells one after another. He liked this sort of playstyle because it was more active and the sense of spells impacting the enemies brought a cathartic feeling to him.
The next type of playstyle was what Mark called the lazy playstyle wherein he would summon his golems and allow them to handle the monster with an assist from the other creatures inside the Forest Sanctuary. Although this playstyle would only be most effective in his battle against the undead. With another type of monster, he would need to be active in helping the golems by casting more spells.
Of course, Mark could combine the playstyle but the problem was he would be unable to cast his area of effect spells from the Space and Void Chancellor tree since his golems would be affected as well so he would only be able to use single target spells like Void Bolt or Void Lightning.
Either way, he liked the impact of his spells because ever since he increased their levels the damage increased in magnitude resulting in shorter battles.
Mark walked on then he arrived at the entrance of a ghost town. The town looked frightening. He thought that he was getting used to the horror elements of the floor but the ghost town still gave him goosebumps.
Mark then thought of the fact that he may never get used to this type of setting or monster and would always feel a little afraid of them.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The only thing that he could do was bring this secret to the grave since he didn’t want anybody to know that he was a pussy when it came to something like these situations and monsters.
Mark remembered that the movies that he was truly afraid of were those that consisted of the elements of devil and devil possession and wondered if something like the devil existed in this world. Or angels for that matter. Actually, he never talked to anyone about the religion in this world but he did know that there were priests who could cast healing spells. If the opportunity presented itself he would ask the elven sisters or Hamil about gods, angels, and demons.
Since he was a bit afraid, Mark summoned his plant golems and commanded them to enter the ghost town. He was hoping that once the golems entered, the monsters would come out from the woodwork and attack them but unfortunately, nothing like that happened and that meant that he would need to explore the houses one by one.
He counted and there were five houses. One two-story house and the rest were one-story houses. Mark wondered if he should enter the houses but decided to hell with it, he would just destroy the houses.
Mark cast Floating Sunflower and three glowing sunflowers appeared on top of him which brought him a little comfort since the glow of the sunflower brought forth memories of sunsets. Then he made sure that all of his defense spells were refreshed which were the Bark Skin spell and Space Shield spell.
He then summoned a Void Meteor and cast it towards one of the houses. The huge flaming rock that came out of the void hit the house and the house was destroyed. From the rubble came out three two ghouls, two zombies, and one new monster who looked like a human and when Mark identified it, it was a vampire.
The two ghouls and two zombies attacked the plant golems but the vampire was too fast and bypassed the summons and headed directly to Mark.
Mark was surprised at himself that he wasn’t afraid. He was confident with his defense spells but to avoid injury he teleported away before the vampire reached him and cast Glacial Void which froze the vampire. He then cast Void Lightning followed by Void Bolt. He also cast Abyssal Thorn and that destroyed the vampire.
After he killed the vampire, he saw that the plant golems destroyed the other monsters without any difficulty. There was only one drop that came from the first group of monsters which was from the vampire but he was surprised to note that it was a purple one but he still kept it inside his inventory to be inspected later.
Mark did the same thing in the second house but there were three ghouls and two vampires instead. He wondered if the vampires were sleeping inside coffins or something. He didn’t know since he directly destroyed the houses.
This time he decided to let the monsters hit him to check his defense spells and to his delight, a slash from the vampires didn’t go through his defenses. There was only clanging which sounded like something hitting a metal. He then tested his level ten Telekinesis and was surprised that he was able to hold the two vampires using just his Telekinesis. They looked like bugs caught on something sticky trying to get out.
The plant golems destroyed the ghouls and were about to attack the floating vampires that were being held by Mark’s spell but only allowed them to destroy one.
Mark lifted the vampire closer to study it. The vampire did look handsome but the snarling visage made it look like a mad monster instead.
“Can you understand me?” Mark asked the vampire.
The vampire did not reply and just kept on snarling, baring its fangs.
Mark destroyed the vampire's clothes to check and the vampire was obviously male and well-endowed. Its body was like those bodies of male models on social media but its snarling visage took away its handsomeness. He tried talking to the vampire again but there was no sanity in its eyes and Mark concluded that the creature before him was just a monster created by the dungeon. He destroyed it, kept the single loot that dropped, and moved to the next house.
