The next day which was the last day of their travels since Natasha told Mark that they would probably arrive in the city before evening, he prepared a lavish breakfast for everyone. He even prepared bento boxes for the merchants and their children since they were the twin’s playmate’s parents, and it was easy to add just a few more boxes to the guard’s breakfast bento boxes.
Natasha and the kids were still sleeping so Mark called some of the guards to take away the bento boxes and distribute them to the others. He also instructed them to give bento boxes to the merchants and if there were lacking any, just to tell him and if there were extras, they could decide to whom they would give it.
When he laid down the food on the table, the smell woke up Natasha and the twins, so Mark waited for a while and when Natasha, the kids, and Lossa sat down, they began to eat their breakfast.
While they were eating a guard came knocking on the door and Mark went up to check. The guard informed him that the merchants would like to send their thanks for the breakfast and that there were several extra boxes of breakfast, and they didn’t know what to do with it.
Mark told the guards that they could create a game and the winner could receive the guard and then he went back to eating with Natasha, the kids, and Lossa.
“What was that all about?” Natasha asked.
“I made some extra to give to the twin’s playmate and their parents and I made a little more, so the soldiers didn’t know what to do with the extra boxes. I told them to just create a game and the winner could receive the extra bento boxes.”
Natasha and Lossa laughed. The twins however were busy eating and fussing with their pet rabbit at the same time.
After breakfast, Mark dismissed the RVs and summoned his Space Floating Disc. In the meantime, the twins went to the merchant’s place to say goodbye to their new friends and to show off their rabbit. Natasha told him that the merchants would stay in the camp for a few more hours so that meant that they would leave earlier than them.
The twins arrived with their new friends since they also wanted to show off the Space Floating Disc that they used to travel. When Mark, Lossa, and the twins sat on the couch, the disc started floating and the boys waved their hands goodbye to the merchant’s kids who were looking at the disc in awe. When the disc started following the guards, the twins kept waving to their friends until they were out of sight.
Mark was worried that he was turning the boys into introverts with all the movies and the gaming but upon seeing how easily they made friends, his worries were alleviated. If they wanted to be otakus, he’s okay with that but it would be better if they were older.

At around lunchtime, they encountered a pack of magic wolves which was a rare case this near to the city according to Lossa. Natasha and the soldiers handled it well, defeating the monsters without any interference from Mark or Lossa. He did see Natasha use her sword’s skill Vicious Slash more than once so more than likely, the number of wolves was unexpected.
After the battle, the soldiers got busy harvesting the Mana stones and Natasha went to Mark to inform him of the details about the wolves.
“There were thirteen wolves. Unexpectedly large this close to the city. I hoped we were the first one they encountered. Usually, these types of magic beasts will not attack a group as large as ours, but they did which was a wonder. I will report this once we arrive in the city.”
When Mark saw the beast’s corpses, he exclaimed that the furs were very white.
“Yes, the fur would fetch a nice sum, but we don’t have the time to butcher them,” Natasha said.
“Let me keep them in my dimension then and when we arrive in the city I’ll return them to you, and you can have them butcher and sold and add the earnings to the rest that you will distribute to everyone.”
Natasha thanked Mark and kissed him. Mark stored the corpse in his inventory, and they went back to traveling.
After storing the corpses, Mark then prepared everyone’s lunch and they ate while moving.
They arrived in the city of Argent late in the afternoon and everybody cheered. Natasha, Lossa, and the guards went to the city council to report but before they left, all of the guards bowed to Mark and thanked him.
They also hailed a cart where Mark put the corpses of the magic beasts they killed.
Natasha told him that she would meet him in the circus compound to give him his share of the earnings and reward for the mission.
Mark and the twins walked to the circus caravan compound, and it took them about an hour to arrive there. The sun was just setting when Mark summoned the RV beside his old caravan cart and prepared dinner for him and the boys. He prepared a lot of food since he knew for a fact that he would receive visitors in a while.
As expected, the first one to arrive was Nedertu.
“Mark, I’m so glad you’re back. I miss you so much,” the cat man said while looking at the food on the table.
Mark and the twins laughed when they saw that and knew that the cat man missed the food more. He invited his coach to dinner. While they were eating, he was expecting to receive more visitors.
“Hamil said to leave you and the kids alone so you can rest, and they would visit the next day.”
“I’ve prepared so much food. I was expecting to receive more people.”
“Don’t worry Mark. I miss your food so much so please expect that nothing in here will remain.”
Everyone laughed when they heard that.
After dinner, he allowed the twins to play a game of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic for an hour and then told them that after that hour, they should wash and sleep on the bunk beds. He also gave a reminder to the boys to take care of Chewbacca.
“Nedertu, the twins wanted to keep this snow rabbit as a pet, and I was told that it was a magical beast. Can Zenethor help us tame it?”
“I’ll ask him tomorrow. Did you encounter danger?”
“Yes. We encountered three ancient beholders. One of the mages and some of the soldiers died.”
Nedertu gasped when he heard that.
“Ancient beholders are as strong as dragons! Your group must have been powerful to be able to kill them!”
Mark just shrugged and offered the cat man some coffee which his coach accepted.
