Chapter 994: 309. Dark Undercurrent Exile_2
This is the highest average selling price for energies that are not Breaking Energy, apart from Breaking Energy itself.
(Note: Breaking Energy refers to energies that have the effect of breaking magic, including Pure Light Magic, Silent power, etc.)
If the 90 billion points of shadow energy were sold in Starlight City, wouldn’t the Shadow Wizards who slaughtered Mole Men make a fortune?
How does that saying go…
When the profit rate exceeds 100%, people dare to trample on the Law.
Isn’t this the situation right now?
...
Investing materials into the Shadow Magic Array, mass-summoning shadow pupa cocoons, harvesting shadow energy.
The cost is at most, at most 10 billion, in exchange for a net profit as high as 52 billion after taxes.
Moreover, Mole Men are not members of the Ulnas Circle and are not protected by its Law.
Slaughtering them will not violate the Ulnas Circle’s Law.
This is simply an incredible deal, not only is the profit rate high, but there’s also no legal risk.
Noland Lee’s eyes narrowed slightly as he thought of the Wealth Creation Society, which always looked towards “money.”
Could it be that those damned Merchant Alliance are up to no good?
“Sir, the Moleman’s bones you asked me to prepare are all in place.”
Nolin’s Voice of the Mind interrupted Noland Lee’s train of thought:
“In the Cavern Hall you specified, I have piled up 2000 Moleman’s bones. There are another 2000 in the adjacent hall. Due to the limited capacity of the halls, I have split the 4000 bones into two groups.”
Noland Lee came back to his senses and nodded his head, saying:
“Very good, Nolin. I’m going to start setting up the Ceremony. Activate the Anti-detection Magic Barrier; do not let the energy fluctuations here be leaked.”
“Yes, sir, I’ll get right on it.”
Nolin sent two hundred Mechanos spreading out.
Each Mechanos was equipped with an Energy Node for the anti-detection Magic Barrier, which was a palm-sized mini Magic Circle. noveldrama
The Mechanos burrowed into the Wall Structure and formed a spherical shape around the hall stacked with bones.
Nolin made a move, and at the same time, activated the mini Magic Circles on the bodies of the Mechanos.
Two hundred mini Magic Circles uniformly revealed invisible energy fluctuations, like a net weaving a spherical barrier enveloping the Cavern Hall.
This Anti-detection Magic Barrier would perfectly conceal the energy fluctuations within the hall, ensuring the magic Ceremony was undetectable by the Mana Instruments in the mining site.
With everything ready, there was no time to delay.
Noland Lee entered the hall where the bones were piled up and channeled Death Energy into the pre-drawn ritual array.
Pure black energy meandered through the Magic Array pattern, emitting a hazy black Radiance.
Once the Array was lit by the black light, Noland Lee grasped the Death Threaded Wand and traced Rune from the Bone Dictionary in the air with the tip of his wand.
Several Runes representing “Moleman’s Spine” appeared in the air, hovering right above the ritual array.
Black Fumes gushed from the ritual array like a tide, spreading to the piles of bones around it.
The bones, tainted by the black Fumes, crumbled like dead leaves in the wind, breaking into numerous fragments and pouring into the ritual array.
In just over ten seconds, the black Fumes swept through the entire area, dragging all of the Mole Men’s bones into the array.
The Runes that had been floating above the Array exploded with a bang, projecting a Magic Screen.
Noland Lee stared at the screen, stunned for a few seconds, as a creature he hadn’t anticipated appeared on it.
It was a kind of floating creature, half-transparent, wearing a grey torn Cloak, and hovering in mid-air.
“Seems like some kind of spirit…”
Noland Lee furrowed his brows, glanced over, and saw the Moleman’s Spines piled up on the Floor of black Stone bricks.
Without any hesitation, he spent Energy Points, targeting the magical runes on the Spine and employing the Deconstruction Technique.
At the moment he obtained the Deconstruction Results, a grey semi-transparent hand reached out toward the Magic Screen.
The owner of the hand seemed to Detect Noland Lee’s scrutiny.
He picked up the Spine which was emitting a strange energy fluctuation and looked at it closely.
Noland Lee thought for a moment and forced the Magic Vision to close, avoiding being traced back.
He pondered for a while, then summoned the magical runes Deconstruction Results to inspect them.
[System Message:]
[You Consumed 350,000 Points of Energy to deploy “Harmless Deconstruction” on the “shadow pupa cocoon summoning pattern”.]
[Harmless Deconstruction Successful!]
[You have obtained the target’s Panel Information:]
[Name] shadow pupa cocoon summoning pattern
[Type] Shadows Faction Summoning Spell
[Level] Level 30
[Integrity] 10%
[Effect]
When this Rune is carved on the Spine of Life Creatures and infused with shadow energy, shadow pupa cocoons can be summoned.
The shadow pupa cocoon will continuously Consume its own shadow energy during its existence.
Once its shadow energy reaches zero, the shadow pupa cocoon will immediately vanish.
[Flaws]
Since the integrity is only 10%, this magical rune has the following flaws:
1. The consumption of shadow energy is increased to ten times the normal amount.
2. The Level of the shadow pupa cocoons summoned with this magical rune can only reach up to Level 30.
[Description]
The engraver of this magical rune is suspected to be a Seven-Ring Shadow Gray Wizard, not taller than 1.8 meters, weighing approximately 2 kilograms.
…
Noland Lee stared at the last two lines on the Panel, reading them carefully.
Seven-Ring
Shadow
Grey Wizard
The key lies with the word “Grey”.
Shadow Wizards who strictly adhere to Ulnas Ring Law, their height and weight tend to be close to those of common people; it is unlikely that they would be 1.8 meters tall and weighing only 2 kilograms.
Only Shadow Gray Wizards who disregard the Ulnas Circle’s Law and roam outside the Ulnas Circle, would display such a severe imbalance between height and weight.
