Chapter 970: The Way to Break the Game
Jay Spade’s departure took much longer than expected.
It was after the second duel of the day had ended that he returned to the scene through the Teleportation Gate.
According to the sequence set by Lonco and Selena the night before, Jay Spade was the third to take the stage.
When Lonco approached Jay Spade with a proposal to fight, Selena’s gaze shifted slightly and landed on Jay Spade.
Her right hand crushed a Magic crystal in her Magic Pouch, merging the “Tracking Mark” within the crystal into her palm.
Noland Lee immediately activated the Spell Mark and cast “Mind View,” before targeting Jay Spade in his Magic Vision with Deconstruction.
...
All of this happened within 0.1 second, with Noland acting very, very quickly and promptly shutting off “Mind View.”
However, Jay Spade’s mind turned out to be unexpectedly sharp.
Almost at the same time Noland activated “Mind View,” Jay Spade became aware of it.
He turned his head, his gaze bypassing Lonco and falling on Selena several meters behind him.
Selena’s expression remained normal, a trace of an unusual look in her eyes.
With a disposition that seemed to harbor complaints about Pure Light Court’s approach, yet dared not show it, she watched him.
Jay Spade, wearing a white mask, nodded to Selena in acknowledgment, then shifted his gaze back to continue talking with Lonco in front of him.
Selena diverted her eyes, maintaining the expression on her face.
She raised her hands, cradling the full moon, and gently rubbed her palms on her Magic Robe to wipe away the sweat within her palms.
“That was close. Jay Spade’s alertness is much higher than Lonco’s. I thought I was going to be discovered…”
Selena breathed a sigh of relief inwardly and asked in her mind,
“What do you make of it, Jarvis? Did you notice anything?”
At that moment, Noland Lee was at Underground Layer 2 of Island 33, observing Nolin improve the Pitcher.
He took a seat next to the Craftsman Table, scrolling through the Deconstruction Results while speaking,
“The situation does seem to be problematic. I’ve detected residual thunder and lightning energy and some kind of unique Metallic Dust on Jay Spade.”
“Some kind of unique Metallic Dust?” Selena was puzzled:
“Didn’t ‘Omniscient’ tell you what it is?”
Noland fell into a brief silence.
“…’Omniscient’ isn’t malfunctioning. I have recognized the origin of that Metallic Dust, Selena.”
Noland spoke gravely,
“It’s Enchanted Mithril dust. Enchanted Mithril is a regulated item of Ulnas Circle, with the ability to conduct magic energy, several times greater than ordinary Magic metal. Magic Circles made with it as a material can conduct billions of points of Magic Energy at once.”
Noland reached a conclusion,
“Clearly, our backup from Pure Light Court conducted some high-intensity Magic Experiments before returning to the scene… Pure Light Court is also researching my Thundercloud.”
“So that’s it…” Selena said,
“That’s not good news.”
“Yeah, I’ll think of some countermeasures, don’t worry, just focus on the wizard duel for now.”
“Alright.”
Selena and Noland cut off ‘Soul Perception.’
What Noland Lee said was based on the Deconstruction Results he obtained.
Jay Spade’s Panel Information was laid bare in Noland’s mind.
His Memory Fragments were the same.
From last night until now, Pure Light Court’s Magic Experiments testing the Thundercloud hadn’t stopped.
The group of Light Wizards huddled around the round table were intoxicated with continuously running the experiments.
From a gas environment to an Underwater Environment, from releasing lightning to directing Thunder and Lightning Energy to converge into a Light Sphere, from bombarding the Magic Target to “firing” on death row prisoners in prison.
Various curious and difficult-to-judge Magic Experiments proceeded in an orderly fashion within Pure Light Court.
Due to the aggressive nature of the experiments, Pure Light Court accidentally damaged the seal of the Thundercloud, leading to a serious energy leakage incident. noveldrama
The three Magic Scrolls delivered to Pure Light Court today were immediately put to use.
Now, a total of three Thunderclouds are in Pure Light Court’s hands.
Corresponding to this are three groups of Light Wizards researching the Thundercloud.
Before Jay Spade returned to the scene, he was arranging the responsibilities and Tasks for each team.
The first group of Light Wizards were exploring the ultimate might of the Thundercloud. They were attempting to release gigantic lightning Strikes with billions of points of Thunder and Lightning Energy.
The second group of Light Wizards was studying the Thundercloud’s performance against Magic Metal Armor.
The third group of Light Wizards was in charge of bombarding different types of Magic Shields with the Thundercloud.
After repeatedly watching Jay Spade’s Memory Fragments, Noland noticed something interesting:
The Grand Arbitrator Paredes would occasionally stare blankly at the silver candlestick on the wall.
Noland could not cast Deconstruction on the items in the Memory Fragments.
But he conjectured that on that silver candlestick, there might be the willpower of an Ancestral Dragon.
Paredes staring at the candlestick was likely communicating with it.
Of course, this was just Noland’s speculation.
Regardless of whether this speculation was accurate or not, Noland seemed to have figured it out:
Pure Light Court says “no,” but their “body” is very honest.
They claim to be looking for ways to control Wild Magic, but in truth, they’re using it more eagerly than anyone else.
Maybe after a while, the tricks they play will exceed those of Noland, the creator.
Noland wasn’t troubled by this thought.
As long as Deconstruction existed, others’ experiment results became his, and his experiment results remained his.
