Chapter 976

Chapter 976: 303. Inside-outside collaboration_3

“Oh~,” Nicolette smirked, her face playful.

Miss Denise Green poked her in the head:

“Don’t even think about sneaking off the island. If the other witches find out you’re a remnant of the Golden Dynasty, you’ll be in trouble. They’ll drag you onto a dissection table.”

“Oh… Got it…” Nicolette nodded reluctantly, then asked:

“So, can I come with you two?”

Noland Lee said:

...

“When you become a Wizard or an Alchemist, we can discuss that.”

“Fine…” Nicolette pouted.

Nolin interjected:

“Sir, Miss Denise Green and your luggage are prepared.”

She manipulated several Spider Mechanisms to walk over and placed three Magic Pouches before Noland Lee:

“Everything you need is inside. Please check them.”

“Thanks for your trouble, Nolin. During Denise’s and my absence from the island, I will need you to be extra vigilant in patrolling. Should anything out of the ordinary occur, you can use Mental Magic to call me.” Noland Lee picked up the Magic Pouches, glanced through them casually, and then hung them on his waist.

“No problem, Sir. It is my duty,” Nolin said as she pushed her glasses up and wrapped her right arm around Nicolette’s shoulder:

“I’ll take good care of her.”

Nicolette was just tall enough to reach Nolin’s chest.

She hugged back around the other’s waist and jokingly said to Noland Lee and Denise Green: noveldrama

“I’ll take good care of Sister Nolin too, her Illusion Body is so squishy, I won’t let her get hurt.”

Noland Lee and Denise Green exchanged smiles.

“Then, we’re off,” Noland Lee said, taking Denise by the hand and waving goodbye to Nicolette and Nolin.

“Bon voyage, Sir,” Nolin said calmly.

“Stay safe!” Nicolette shouted, carefree and loud.

Before leaving, Denise Green touched Nicolette’s head, finding it hard to part with the clever and lively little girl.

Even though they had known each other for just over a month, Nicolette’s vivacity had left an indelible mark on Denise’s heart.

After saying their goodbyes, Noland Lee and Denise Green used their Flight Spells to enter the Ceiling’s ventilation duct.

Without hiding themselves, they directly took the Core Circle’s Public Vehicle to reach the Magic Ocean Current.

Near the Magic Ocean Current, they stopped the Public Vehicle on the Sea Surface, cast the Flight Spell, and flew toward the more distant Deep Sea Zone.

They had been heading north for half an hour when they entered the Treasure Sea.

Noland Lee activated the “Levitation Spell” on his Magic Boots, hovering in mid-air.

He pulled out pen and paper and sent a letter to a Silent Witch living near the Eternal Lightning Ravine, asking her to serve as a Transfer Beacon to assist with his Teleport.

Upon receiving the Reply with the affirmative answer, Noland Lee drew his magic wand and opened the “Silent Maiden” Teleportation Gate.

The planet, shrouded in indigo fumes, enlarged in the sky, casting down two columns of indigo light.

After a flash of light, Noland Lee and Denise Green disappeared from the Sea Surface.

The indigo planet shrank back to a mere star point hanging high in the Heavens.

Two transparent figures rose from beneath the sea, revealing their fluid heads amidst the undulating waves.

These two gazed at the sky and, after a brief exchange, swiftly dove back toward the Core Circle’s direction.

From their appearance and the magic they used to hasten their journey, these two were undoubtedly Deep Sea Wizards from the Deep Sea Branch.

The departure of Noland Lee, who suffered from Psychic Trauma, along with his Resurrection Witch from the Suman Archipelago, had touched a nerve at the Deep Sea Branch.

Less than ten minutes later, Selena was in her Study Room, seeing Lonco’s figure.

“What’s the matter, Brother?” Selena asked, looking beyond the mountain of Documents on her desk at her Brother’s serious face.

“Why did Jarvis suddenly Leave the Suman Archipelago?” Lonco asked straightforwardly:

“He didn’t tell you anything?”

Selena looked astonished:

“He left the Suman Archipelago?”

Lonco was taken aback:

“You don’t know?”

Selena was also stunned:

“Do I have to?”

“This…” Lonco hesitated for half a second before asking:

“You’ve really drawn a line between you two, huh?”

Selena let out a scoff as if she heard something laughable, curling her lips into a sneer:

“Heh, what else?”

Lonco’s face showed relief, and his tone softened a lot:

“… Okay. I misunderstood you. Selena, do me a favor, ask Jarvis why he left the Suman Archipelago.”

“You ask him yourself.” Selena rolled her eyes at her older brother and bent her head down to the document in front of her:

“Haven’t you been the one in contact with him lately? Even the Magic Scrolls and the Nonmetal Mineral Distribution Map were sent directly to you. I don’t want to get involved in you two’s affairs anymore, don’t come bothering me. It’s perfect timing, too, because I’ve got a lot on my plate and I’m really frustrated.”

Lonco chuckled awkwardly, pulled out the chair opposite Selena, and sat down:

“Heh heh, come on, Selena, just ask for me. If he finds out I’ve been having his island watched, it will affect the prices of the Magic Scrolls and the distribution maps.”

“You, have had someone, watching, his island?”Selena looked up, regarding him as if he were an idiot:

“Are you very confident in your Combat Wizards? Maybe right now, Jarvis has already noticed the tails you’ve set on him. So, you’d better go ask him yourself.”

After finishing, Selena picked up a document and slapped it on top of the pile beside her, producing a crisp “snap” sound:

“I need to handle the paperwork. Is there anything else?”

Seeing his sister being so cold to him, Lonco thought it was because of his long-standing misunderstanding and quickly apologized with a laugh:

“No, that’s it. Keep up the good work. I’ll handle this issue myself.”

Lonco stood up and walked toward the Miniature Ocean, planning to teleport away.

But Selena called out to stop him:

“Wait, come by later today or tomorrow. I need to go over the Combat Wizards’ bills with you, and you have to sign a few things.”

Lonco kept walking, turning around and waving his hand:

“Yeah, yeah, I got it.”

“Whoosh~~”

The Miniature Ocean rippled.

Lonco dived in and disappeared.

Selena’s expression remained unchanged as she activated “Mind Induction” in her heart, informing Noland Lee of what had just happened.

The fact that she had called Lonco back before he left was an impromptu act by Selena.

Just by looking at Lonco’s demeanor, she knew he would definitely conspire with their father about something.

Having agreed to meet with Lonco in a while was perfect, as it would allow her the opportunity to extract some information from him after his discussion with their father and provide it to Jarvis.

As for the matter of Noland Lee leaving the archipelago, of course, Selena knew the whole story—she was just putting on a show earlier.

Eh.

But then again.

She could only fool her dumb brother with that level of acting.

Others might see through her immediately, like her father, for instance.
