Chapter 1400

Chapter 1400: 462. Paradise Supreme_2

“Regardless of the situation, this means that our universe is about to stop expanding outward and even begin to collapse inward.”

The park was buzzing with comments, everyone expressing their thoughts in their own way.

Some “people” casually crushed a few planets to relieve their anxiety.

Some “people” threw marbles, hitting the virtual screen in the middle of the area, as if to express their anger at the park for sending out an exploration team. In their view, it was because of the team’s appearance that the universe was about to stop expanding.

Some “people” maintained a basic calm and joined the discussion:

“What will happen if the universe collapses inward?”

...

“Can we consider the collapse of the universe as a compression of our space?”

“Can a planet that we’ve already compressed be compressed again during the process of the universe’s collapse?”

“Perhaps we should move to the endpoint of the universe’s collapse, so that we can secure more time for self-rescue during the process.”

“So, where is the endpoint of the universe’s collapse? Or rather, what is the last place to be affected by the universe’s collapse?”

“We could think differently. I believe leaving this universe is also an option. We should let the exploration team cross the edge of the universe and enter outer space.”

This statement resonated in the park.

The audience requested the host to order a part of the exploration team to enter outer space.

Bad news came back quickly.

The members of the exploration team who entered outer space lost contact and did not return to the universe, as if they were completely lost in a zone without concepts of time and space.

Moreover, the exploration team discovered that, whether it was because someone had left the universe or some other reason, the light at the edge of the universe had completely stopped moving.

And the light that stopped moving outward was collectively moving backward.

They formed a Shell of Light surrounding the entire universe.

As the halted light increased, the thickness of the Shell of Light grew rapidly.

Before long, the light that had taken trillions of years to reach the edge of the universe from different regions completely overlapped.

The Shell of Light quickly evolved into a Barrier mixed with information of the entire universe’s history.

The exploration team was then within this Barrier.

Their detection equipment was cycling through the historical information they had gathered.

From the birth of one planet to the shattering of another by a meteor, to the blossoming of civilizations of Life Creatures on planets, followed by the extinction of stars, the fading of regional light, the formation of Black Holes, and so on, and so forth.

The immense amount of historical information completely inundated the exploration team and their equipment.

The virtual screen flickered violently before finally settling into a multicolored, interwoven pattern of stripes, and contact with the exploration team was lost.

“Did everyone see that? A genuine Barrier of historical information has formed at the edge of the universe. It has already swallowed our exploration team and is now moving toward us at a speed of at least ten thousand light years per second.”

The speaker had not even finished speaking when a howling sound erupted from the crowd.

“No, I just gained eternal life; I don’t want to die yet.”

“We must quickly reach the endpoint of the universe’s collapse! Perhaps when the process of the universe’s collapse reaches a certain point, collapse will transform back into expansion!”

“Where is the endpoint of the universe’s collapse? Damn it, who can tell me the answer?!”

The host brought up a luminous mass on his own virtual screen and loudly declared:

“Look here. This mass of light is likely the endpoint of the universe’s collapse. It is the first light within the universe, the source of all light.”

“It appears to be a star in its prime.”

“It doesn’t seem special; why do you say it’s the first light of the universe?”

Facing the skepticism, the host confidently said:

“When the exploration team reached the very edge of the universe, they witnessed the universe’s initial scenes. Everything in our current universe, everything, was thrown out from this Light source. They spread outward along with the light, which is why our universe was formed.”

The virtual screen displayed the initial appearance of the universe as seen by the exploration team.

In a timelessly dark setting, the tiny hand-sized mass of light shone so brightly.

It always maintained its bright appearance, never swallowed by the darkness outside the universe.

After an unknown duration, the mass of light expanded and pulsated as if alive.

As it grew in size, countless visible bands of light burst forth, intermixed with innumerable particles. noveldrama

The astonishingly dense particles followed the light bands in all directions, rapidly illuminating vast expanses of darkness to form brilliant star streams.

Seeing this, the “people” gradually believed that the mass of light was the starting point and also the endpoint of the universe’s collapse.

But a new question arose.

When does the universe’s collapse end?

Must all matter ejected from the mass of light return to it to end the universe’s collapse?

If so, how could the “people” present survive?

The host proposed his view:

“I suggest that all of us ‘people’ use Spatial Folding Technique to compress ourselves and hide inside that mass of light. Perhaps, with the protection of this mass of light, we can not only evade the universe’s collapse but also follow the universe’s next expansion into another Cosmic Space.”
