Chapter 984: 306. Black Pupa
The magic fortress occupied by Elemental Judgement is called Plas Fort.
Though not as luxurious as Wealth Creation Society’s Goldrush Castle, it houses all the magical facilities essential for a magic fortress.
The Wizard Advancement Association installed Magical Turrets to defend against Lightning Spectre riots here, as well as Magic Circles capable of casting large Magic Barriers.
With these two features, the safety of the Magic Research Institute is secured.
Mabel, Betty Davis, Philia, and other members of Elemental Judgement arrived at the Eternal Lightning Ravine through the Teleportation Gate and Flight.
This time, they didn’t spend a penny on teleportation.

Baldur’s Gate is located on the westernmost side of the Kashel Continent, two hundred kilometers west of the Eternal Lightning Ravine.
The headquarters of Elemental Judgement are in Capital Starlight City within the Ulnas Circle.
The distance between these two locations is at least seven thousand kilometers.
The Ulnas Circle specially set up permanent Teleportation Gates in both Starlight City and Baldur’s Gate.
Wizards can use these gates to rapidly travel back and forth between the two locations.
All members of the Magic Research Institute enjoy one free teleportation service, which is much more convenient than when they were researching aberrations in Union City.
After Mabel took charge and settled into Plas Fort, the first task was to repair the magical facilities within the fortress.
During this period, Denise Green and Louisa paid a visit.
Denise passed Noland Lee’s letter to Mabel and explained the arrangement for hiring Louisa to assist in guarding Plas Fort.
Mabel happily accepted Noland’s arrangements.
Once Denise and Louisa got settled in Plas Fort, they began constructing the Death Magic Device for Mabel.
This device has one single purpose.
That is to transform wild, mindless wraiths into controllable, bound spectral ghosts.
Lightning Spectres entering it would come out as Lightning Spectres.
Spectral ghosts are easier to tame than wraiths.
Once that is accomplished, Mabel would then attempt to transform the Lightning Spectres into magic puppets.
While Denise and Louisa were tinkering with the magical device, Noland returned from outside.
The exterior of Plas Fort was quite rustic, a stone ancient castle with a mottled exterior and vines, standing amidst the dense forests on the mountaintop.
Noland did not land directly in the courtyard of the ancient castle using a Flight Spell.
Following proper visiting protocol, he landed outside the Great Gate at the front courtyard and used the magical doorbell to summon the Elemental Judgement wizards inside.
The defining feature of Elemental Wizards is their numerous elemental creatures.
In Union City, because the Alchemy Cathedral didn’t allow Elemental Judgement to use too much magical power, Mabel was “restrained.”
But here in the Eternal Lightning Ravine, Mabel had no such concerns.
Her research team this time only consisted of her six students, leaving all the miscellaneous and laborious tasks to the elemental creatures from the Sub-Dimensional Plane.
The Earth Wind Crystal Cluster that opens the door for Noland and shows him the way is a standard elemental creature.
Its main body is an elemental crystal with energy tentacles containing both earth and wind elemental energies.
The wind elemental energy grants it the feature of ‘Constant Levitation,’ and the earth elemental energy allows it to control energy tentacles and use cleaning tools.
These two advantages combined make the Earth Wind Crystal Cluster an excellent domestic aide for Elemental Wizards.
Noland entered the front courtyard of the castle, passed through the corridor, strolled by the garden, and met Mabel, Philia, and Betty Davis in the Grand Hall, who were organizing their luggage.
When leaving Alchemist Island, Philia was a Third-Ring Wizard, and now she had just stepped into the Four-circled and was striving for the Five Rings.
Betty was one level below Philia, now a Third-Ring Wizard.

“Jarvis, you’ve arrived,” Mabel said with a notebook in hand, looking at Noland:
“Denise said you seem to have run into a bit of trouble, do I need to communicate with the Wealth Creation Society for you?”
Noland shook his head:
“Not for now, Mabel. The Bluegold Elder got the list of wizard criminals and VIPs mixed up and has already apologized to me in person. He also gave me a Magic Contract to join the Wealth Creation Society.”
Betty and Philia, unfamiliar with the threshold for “joining the Wealth Creation Society,” were clueless.
Mabel, however, was well aware.
She was slightly surprised and asked:
“The Bluegold Elder invited you to join the Co-Creation Council? Are you that wealthy now?”
“Wealthy?” Betty was startled for a moment, her eyes widening as she tried to discern any clues related to “wealth” from Noland’s plain and simple attire.
Philia was more reserved in expressing her emotions.
Confusion flickered in her beautiful eyes as she blinked at Noland.
“I got lucky on the Suman Archipelago and happened to find some useful Dragon Clan treasures.”
Noland gave a smile, self-deprecatingly admitting:
“I made some money with these treasures, only to find myself targeted by the Wealth Creation Society as soon as I arrived on the Kashel Continent.”
