Chapter 1394: 460. Flip the table upside down
“Some mysterious energy has interfered with our quantum leap signal jammer.”
In an ocean of digital numbers and lines, a semi-transparent white skull, resembling a large light bulb, floated in the air and spoke to the two similarly phantom-like figures in front of it:
“Although our operation to prevent the enemy from deploying ships has failed, we have still pinpointed the exact location of their forward base. An array composed of ten thousand artificial angels has already set out and will soon destroy the secondary stargate on the edge of the Samimi Star Field, putting an end to this battle.”
“I have already warned you that behind the ‘Soul Construct’ are extraordinary entities not limited to the ‘Command’ plane’s core.”
The speaker was a semi-transparent figure with the appearance of a metal dragon man. Its body was wrapped in bands, halos, and glows primarily formed of numbers and lines, taking the place of sharp and hard dragon scales.
The third figure at the scene seemed reticent and did not pick up the conversation to express their own views.
...
It was a legless dark figure made of black numbers and lines.
The part above its knees was covered by a black robe, while the part below its knees looked like weather-beaten banners, with torn cloth strips fluttering in the wind, filled with melancholy and misery.
If Noland Lee were at the scene, he would surely be able to distinguish the identities of the three.
The metal dragon man, covered in numbers, likely represented the Metal Ancestor Dragon.
The semi-transparent white skull might point to some entity within the Angel Enterprise Alliance.
And that phantom-like black figure seemed to represent the Dark Divine Cult.
Upon close observation, one could notice that the black numbers forming this figure constantly changed into twisted, painful faces as if it was a source of suffering for all life creatures afflicted by calamity.
The place where these three met was somewhat peculiar.
Surrounding them was a vast ocean of numbers.
White 0s and 1s formed clouds above their heads, under their feet, and all around them, floating slowly.
The next second, the clouds shattered, and the numbers drastically changed.
“0” turned into a long string of letters, the color changing from white to black, forming into a narrow black river stretching across the sky.
“1” transformed into inexplicably meaningful curve graffiti characters, forming rapidly moving strange animals around the three figures.
Another second later, countless numbers and symbols freed themselves from their original shapes, congregated together, and transformed into a large volcano spewing digital magma. Huge rocks fell from the sky, narrowly missing the three figures.
This place is not reality, not even the material world.
Everything here is composed of numbers, symbols, and lines, with inexplicable meanings and constantly changing like it was afflicted with hyperactivity.
The only three able to maintain their stable forms were the three figures currently communicating.
“We… have detected… Senati’s… presence.”
The voice of the dark figure was mingled with countless tones, layered and eerie.
“We are certain, Senati has erased the ‘spatial hindrance’ of the Hysteric Brain…
“Senati has initiated ‘Time Rectification’…
“We are certain…”
Upon hearing this, the semi-transparent skull seemed annoyed by one of the words, and said discontentedly:
“Don’t call me Hysteric Brain.”
“Then what should we call you?” the dark figure’s voice once again came in layers:
“A stitched-together body of cockroaches and maggots? A refuse assembly from the slaughterhouse? The accidental offspring of a sow and a boar? Or, the bastard of space and illusion?”
The semi-transparent skull replied slightly angrily:
“Better than you dark deities, all mixed together like dough!”
“Stop it, no more pointless arguments,” interrupted the metal dragon man coldly, steering the conversation back to the main topic:
“It’s proven that Senati is hiding behind the ‘Order’ Plane’s Core. We now need to determine which angels and plane cores are behind the Black Hole Magic Academy.”
The metal dragon man’s tone eased, speaking unhurriedly:
“I’ll start. The ‘Wizard’ Plane’s Core is definitely one of the masterminds—otherwise, there’s no telling the emergence of a magic power in outer space. Moreover, the Mortal-formed United Bureau seems intent on joining the Black Hole Magic Academy’s camp.
“The United Bureau might be drawn by the novelty of magic, or simply wish to use the Black Hole Magic Academy to constrain our forces set up in the material world; either way, it is assisting the Black Hole Magic Academy against our corporate group, alliance, and divine offspring.” noveldrama
“We should correct the United Bureau’s behavior with a plague and riots…
“Yes, with carnage to remind them of the fragility of their mortal bodies…
“Tear their flesh apart, devour their souls…”
The dark figure’s voice conveyed different tones, unabashedly expressing its disdain for mortal life.
“Only a fool would fail to see the value of mortal life,” muttered the semi-transparent white skull lowly, and without giving the dark figure a chance to retort, continued:
“I’ve also noticed an extraordinary entity capable of providing invisibility protection. It has helped the Black Hole Magic Academy conceal the detestable bomb. That’s why I lost a lot of ships and artificial angels at the outskirts of the Black Hole Magic Academy. I estimate that Angel’s Voice Space Station is already covered inside and out with invisible bombs. If not for my precautions, I might have stumbled again.”
The metal dragon man knew of this “extraordinary entity capable of providing invisibility protection.”
In the past several months, it always encountered these intangible, invisible enemies.
