Chapter 1001: Know yourself and know your enemy_3
Noland Lee thought for a moment, and added a few more instructions:
“Without my command, do not deploy the Mechanos. I will deal with the enemies myself. If those Mechanos left outside the temporary base are attacked, immediately activate their self-destruct formation, and don’t let them fall into the enemy’s hands.”
“No problem, Sir. I’ll keep an eye on the Mechanos,” came the reply.
Noland Lee settled various affairs, and pretending to be unaware of the approaching enemies, he left the base nonchalantly.
At this time, the illusion body carrying magic scrolls had used up all its magic scrolls.
In the Ground Snake Nest, the Dark Abyss Eels were dead, wounded or had fled, and the scene was covered with black marks left by thunder and lightning.
...
Three illusion bodies and one Mechanos, disguised as a Thunder Wizard, remained on alert at the edge of the battlefield, appearing to be waiting for someone.
It just so happened that Noland Lee flew towards the nest.
His actions, as expected, were perceived by the Shadow Death Scouts lurking in the dark as a move to collect magic materials.
Generally speaking, those who don’t engage in battle personally and yet personally harvest magic materials are either the hardworking types dedicated to gathering or key figures within a team.
Noland Lee was wearing a very luxurious Lightning Robe.
Look at that smooth velvet material, the exquisite pale gold embroidery, the sparkling magic gems, and the shiny clasps…
All signs indicated that this person held an extraordinary status within the “Thunder Wizard” team.
Bringing him down would essentially be tantamount to conquering the Thunder Wizards who had entered the Dark Zone.
Dozens of elusive, dark gazes passed through the thick darkness and towering stalagmites, settling on Noland Lee.
With “Perception Enhancement” affecting him, Noland keenly detected these gazes.
“It seems like 16 Shadow Deathers have set their sights on me. Among them, 6 are relatively close to me, and I can already clearly sense their exact positions. The other 10 are quite distant, hiding outside of my perception range.
“The 6 approaching Shadow Deathers move quickly and don’t produce any energy fluctuations when they move, clearly relying on physical methods to achieve swift transition. These 6 individuals must also serve as ‘Wanderers,’ and their levels are not low, enabling them to approach stealthily.
“As for the 10 Shadow Deathers hiding farther away…”
Noland Lee steadied his mind and sensed carefully.
He felt a strange rhythmic energy in the air.
This rhythm caused his neck to itch as if someone was tickling him with foxtail grass.
The neck, itchy, hmm, this was a mental signal that the enemy was planning a beheading operation.
The 10 Shadow Deathers outside the range of perception were probably preparing some fatal move.
What tactics could be combined with the 6 Shadow Death Wanderers to quickly eliminate him?
Noland Lee quickly contemplated and found several answers from his previous deconstruction results!
Answer one:
Summoning flow.
Jointly summoning hundreds of shadow demons with high resistance to thunder and lightning energy could achieve the effect of an encirclement and kill.
Answer two:
Possession flow.
The Shadow Deathers mastered a spell in shadow magic called “Shadow Entrancing Technique.” It could forcefully implant the highly threatening “Dread Demon” into the target’s body, bypassing the “Magic Shield” to directly stab at the target’s soul and psyche.
Answer three:
Exile flow.
Using the Shadow Death Wanderers to restrict the target’s movements, the remaining Shadow Deathers could then open an “Exile Channel” to the Ancient Lomis Continent, banishing the target to the Deadly Land of Life Creatures—the Ancient Lomis Continent.
All three methods could pose a threat to Noland Lee.
Noland Lee knew how to counter them.
As Noland Lee quietly speculated about the enemy’s movements, a circle of Black Flame suddenly appeared nearby, creating a wall of fire that blocked all escape routes.
Noland Lee raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly in his heart, realizing what the enemy was about to do.
He shivered like a startled “Thunder Wizard” and quickly cast a “Magic Shield” dense with lightning.
He abruptly increased his speed, accelerating forward. noveldrama
However, before he could escape the encirclement, a black flame soared tens of meters into the sky with a whooshing sound, and many silhouettes flickering with dark purple light appeared within the flames.
These silhouettes leaped out from the black flames, hovered in mid-air, and surrounded Noland Lee, who was trapped by the walls of fire.
They circled around Noland, their flight patterns resembling jellyfish in water.
Covered with Magic Chainmail constructed of shadow runes and chains of shadow energy, these demons floated in the air.
Sleek black claws, curved like hooks, trailed behind them, resembling the tentacles of jellyfish.
These claws could easily cast a sharp “Shadow Claw Blade” with a casual swipe.
These were the Shadow Demons known as “Terror Claws,” a type of flying, fighting summoned creature from the Shadows Faction.
Being ethereal beings, Terror Claws were immune to most physical damage.
The Magic Chainmail they wore had strong resistance to Shaping Energy Spells.
“Shadow Bomb,” “Shadow Strike,” “Shadow Transfer,”—they knew all these standard Shadow Spells.
On top of that, Terror Claws could use their Magic Chainmail to reflect Shaping Energy Spells.
Spells like “Fireball” and “Lightning Strike Technique,” were reflected back to the caster by the Terror Claws.
And wide-ranging Shaping Energy Spells such as “Flame Surge” and “Ice Explosion” would be dodged by the Terror Claws using their Magic Chainmail.
Clearly, the Shadow Deathers hiding in the dark had combined their powers to cast a Summoning Spell, gathering a large number of Shadow Demons specifically targeting shaping wizards around Noland Lee.
If Noland were a genuine Thunder Wizard, he would have only two options:
Either use “Disintegration Ray” to precisely break the shadow runes on the Magic Chainmail, weakening its resistance to Shaping Energy Spells,
or use Shaping Energy Spells to forcefully shatter the Magic Chainmail and annihilate the Terror Claws.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t a Thunder Wizard.
Faced with the roaring approach of hundreds of Terror Claws, he raised his arms, spread his ten fingers, and swirled several arcs around him with the tips.
Sharp Death Rays burst forth from his fingertips!
Ten fingers consistently unleashed beams filled with the aura of death!
The half-a-meter-thick rays cut through the encirclement of Terror Claws like slicing tofu, grazing the stalagmites around them and setting off a series of blasts and roars.
“Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz…” the deadly rays plowed through the enemy crowd.
“Pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft…” The Terror Claws were no match and were viciously torn apart by the “Death Two Finger.”
“Boom boom boom boom boom…” Stalagmites broke, and stones scattered in all directions.
Several sneaky figures were forced out of their Invisibility State by the violent vibrations.
They were the six Shadow Death Wanderers who had been following close to Noland Lee.
They cried out in terror:
“Damn it! How does this guy also master death spells?!”
“Is he a Thunder Wizard!? Or a Death Wizard!?”
“This is the Ten Rings ‘Death Two Finger’!!! He’s a Saint Tier Death Wizard!! We’ve been fooled!!”
Several thick, black Death Rays brushed past these six Shadow Death Wanderers, igniting their bodies.
As Shadow Souls, even when struck by a death spell, they were destined to perish.
However, they could utilize “Shadow Transfer” to randomly move their Shadow Fragments elsewhere, and then be resurrected through the hands of other Shadows Faction Extraordinaries.
But, well, sorry.
Since Noland Lee had exposed his trump card of death spells, he wasn’t going to hold back anymore.
He pointed his fingers several times, aiming “Evil Blast” at the Shadow Fragments.
“Bang bang bang bang~” The explosions continued.
As corpses, the Shadow Fragments were successfully ignited by “Evil Explosion.”
Not a single Shadow Death Wanderer escaped the fate of their exploding Shadow Fragments.
