Chapter 906: 283. Loud Conspiracy
Foreword:
What we hear is opinion, not facts.
What we see is perspective, not truth.

The spire summoned by the Wildtide Casters was destroyed; no new Highly Toxic Water Groups appeared on the seabed.
...
The Deep-sea Wizards cast their spells, manipulating the seabed’s water streams, pushing the Highly Toxic Water Groups toward the previous battlefield.
The dark green liquid enveloping the entire battlefield was quickly diluted and cleansed by the washing of sea water.
All Wildtide Casters were killed; no more sea monsters could sustain the currents against the light ice cones and pillars.
The currents they had summoned collapsed completely, and the rolling frost returned along with the ice cones and pillars to the seabed a kilometer deep.
The battleground, which had just been ravaged by violent thunder and lightning, now faced an extremely cold onslaught of frost.
The Sea Monster Army suffered severely under the dual onslaught of thunder and frost, with only a small number surviving on the edges of the battlefield.
For the sea monsters, the worst was the death of the Dreadscale Nobles.
The noble sea monster, who could wield the power of the Trident Scepter to greatly enhance the Dreadscale Vanguard, was completely destroyed by lightning spears.
With no one to command, and the loss of high-end forces like the Wildtide Casters, the remaining few thousand sea monsters couldn’t stir up any waves.
They could only cower next to the pirate ship, where the hostages were, using the boat and the Human Wizards within as a shield to withstand the Deep Sea Branch.
For some reason, the sea monsters in this battle received no support from legendary-level Deep Sea Beasts, nor did the powerful Wildtide Elders make an appearance.
The remaining sea monsters thought they still had the strength to fight, but they did not.
As they gathered near the pirate ship, those Lightning Energy Balls that brought despair to the sea monsters emerged once more from the seabed.
There weren’t many Lightning Energy Balls this time, less than a hundred, but their magical power had not diminished at all.
The Lightning Energy Balls burst out of the ground, bursting into the air in unison with a bang, transforming into swiftly swimming lightning spears that fell like violent storms upon the masses of sea monsters.
Another round of thunder roared through the seabed.
What remained of the sea monsters was blasted into waste by the thunder, their mournful screeches vanishing in smoke, sinking towards the ground with the dust.
With the help of the mysterious Saint Level Thunder Wizard, the Deep Sea Branch was hugely successful in its operation.
In total, three thunder attacks were launched; aside from an unfortunate event of friendly fire in the first, the last two were fatal to the sea monsters.
Not a single Combat Wizard involved in the underwater battle blamed the allied Saint Level Thunder Wizard.
On one hand, everyone knew the unpredictability of lightning energy in a liquid environment; occasional energy dissipation was understandable.
On the other hand, the Saint Level Thunder Wizard regained his reputation with the success of the last two attacks, earning the admiration of the other wizards with his solid combat abilities.
However, aside from Lonco Pomida and those who had close contact with the “Saint Level Thunder Wizard,” none of the wizards involved in the battle knew:
The wizard who helped them unleash the thunder attacks was not just an ordinary “Saint Level” wizard but a Magic Avatar of a Transcendent Wizard.
This was deliberately done by Lonco and arranged by his father, Mingwaq Pomida.
After delegating the tasks of rescuing the hostages, escorting the criminals, and cleaning up the scene to his deputy, Lonco cast the ‘Water Walking Technique’ and left the battlefield, hastening toward the sea area where the two Saint Level Wizards were located.
It was still in the skies above Subsea Area No.18 that Lonco found the wizards, always in Invisibility Status.
“Sir Windhawk, Lord Gathered Thunder, thank you for your help. The Deep Sea Branch has been successful in defeating the Sea Monster Army,” Lonco said, standing before the two men and bowing respectfully as he humbly spoke.
“In accordance with the contract between my father and yourselves, I will quickly count the Magic Stones the Wizard Criminals paid to the sea monsters as tribute and will deliver your share as soon as possible.” noveldrama
“Hmm.” Benjamin Jelani hummed contentedly with a cheerful tone:
“I’ve got control of Noland Lee Jarvis’s ‘Dark Cloud.’ Although there was a severe energy dissipation while capturing the control, I believe the remaining cloud is enough for Hotams to study.”
“Thank you, Your Excellency,” Lonco said a bit excitedly, bowing again.
“Don’t thank me just yet, Lonco,” Benjamin Jelani said languidly:
“I can’t stay in the Natural World forever. Clint and I must return to our Sub-Dimensional Planes before nightfall. Once I leave, the cloud will lose control, unleash a thunderstorm, and then vanish completely.”
As Benjamin Jelani watched Lonco’s troubled face, he held up his index finger and said:
“An offer, Lonco, if you pay 200,000 High Concentration Lightning Magic Stones, I will seal that cloud. With my seal, the cloud won’t disappear, and only you and I will know how to unlock the Magic lock that makes the seal. Or, you could ask Hotams for help to find a way to preserve the cloud.”
One High Concentration Lightning Magic Stone contains 10,000 points of Thunder and Lightning Energy and has a market price of 4,200 gold coins.
200,000 of them would thus be valued at 840 million gold coins on the market.
The Pomida Family had amassed some cheap channels to acquire Thunder and Lightning Magic Stones, potentially bringing the price down to below 4,000 gold coins each.
The expense in gold coins was secondary; what truly made Lonco feel as awful as having eaten feces was Benjamin Jelani’s sudden demand for payment.
