Chapter 1422: 470. Void Spears_2

Only remnants of floating debris near the star could be seen where B base once covered the star, with not a single patch left intact. Masses of rubble were sucked into the star and incinerated every moment.
“How did this happen? Didn’t the Assassin Angel agree to only target the B-76 space station? But why is B base blasted to pieces like this?”
Noland Lee’s brows furrowed tightly as he realized that during the time he was within the ritual array, something unexpected had happened at B base.
The pressing matter was to quickly get in touch with the true body of the Assassin Angel to understand the situation.
Noland Lee first tried to inquire the Assassin Angel’s avatar in front of him, but seeing the avatar had no response, he had no choice but to activate the soul perception between himself and the Assassin Angel, trying to make direct contact with the other’s true form.
...
However, what would normally be an extremely safe operation caused Noland’s soul to suddenly suffer intense pain, as if a large steel nail had been thrust into his forehead.
“Hiss, hiss, hiss…”
Noland Lee raised his hand to press on his jutting temples, rubbing hard, his mind a mess.
After several seconds, the pain subsided, and his thoughts gradually became clear.
“What’s going on?”
Noland took a deep breath, trying hard to suppress the residual pain, and spoke to the Command avatar beside him, which was looking at him with concern:
“The Assassin Angel is out of contact. I just tried to reach out to Its true form but inexplicably suffered a soul attack.”
Command asked: noveldrama
“Can you discern what kind of soul attack it was? We might be able to figure out who’s entangling the Assassin Angel from that.”
Noland wanted to shake his head and say he couldn’t tell how the other was launching a soul attack, but suddenly he thought of something:
Passive Deconstruction is bidirectional.
He could trigger Passive Deconstruction when attacking enemies.
It was the same when enemies attacked him.
Noland hurriedly called up the deconstruction information in his mind and, unsurprisingly, saw a few lines of Characters.
[You have suffered a ‘Soul Piercing’.]
[Passive Deconstruction triggered!]
[You have obtained the following deconstruction information:]
[The attacker is ‘Void Synapse’, of the Extraterrestrial Eternity Void Series.]
Noland glanced at the deconstruction result and replied to Command with an uncertain tone:
“It seems to be some kind of Void Series Extraterrestrial Eternity…”
Command immediately thought of the answer:
“Then it must have been a Void Synapse that attacked you. Only such Evil Curses in the Void Series possess soul attack methods. But how could they be involved with the Assassin Angel…”
Before Command could finish writing, the Senati avatar, which had been silent for a long while, exploded into a small clump of fumes with a loud bang, becoming somewhat transparent.
“Quickly, leave, here.”
The weak voice of an unfamiliar female came out from within the Senati’s avatar, with urgency and fear that couldn’t be hidden:
“Quick! Leave! Here! They have come!”
No sooner had the words fallen than Command’s avatar exploded fiercely, with the milky-colored figure instantly turning into scattering points of White Light.
Noland Lee jerked in shock, a strong sense of oppression welling up inside him.
He almost instinctively called out in his mind for the Snow-winged Cat to return quickly and take him away from this place.
The Snow-winged Cat, upon receiving the command, immediately leaped from the star system where the B-76 space station was located and began to transition toward Noland’s direction.
Perhaps sensing its master was in deep crisis, the Snow-winged Cat’s return was exceptionally swift, taking less than three seconds to arrive at Noland’s side.
Without needing Noland’s further instruction, Kitty directly bit his collar with its mouth and initiated the manned leap mode.
A White Light, indicative of entering leap state, started to condense beside Noland.
His body entered the leap space within 0.1 second, flew out from the rooftop of the building he was standing on in the next second, reaching the high sky, and finally crossed the atmosphere, entering Outer Space.
It was only then, by seeing the full view of the Planetosphere, that Noland knew what was happening here:
A circular Mosaic Giant Door with a diameter almost as wide as the Planetosphere appeared nearby, with Black Tridents longer than the diameter of the Planetosphere shooting out from the Mosaic Round Door, violently piercing through the Planetosphere, turning the Players’ “Reality” planet inside out with holes.
The leap White Light obscured the vision, leaving Noland with a last image that was terrifying to the extreme:
The Planetosphere shattered by countless Black Tridents, the crust turned into chunks flying all over, the glowing core as if a heart burst forth with red fireworks, countless Points symbolizing Players sucked dry by Black Tridents, layers upon layers of barely audible painful screams as vast as the sea, mixed with shrill and harrowing shrieks and whinnies…
What sent chills down Noland’s spine was that even though he was in leap state, he could still see the circular Mosaic Giant Door that was firing those Black Tridents.
And just as Noland realized this, the Mosaic Round Door seemed to come alive, blinking like an eye, before swiveling its orientation, targeting Noland, and launching a barrage of Black Tridents.
The Black Tridents surreptitiously entered Noland’s leap space and caught up with him at an alarming speed!
“Damn it! What are these Tridents? And what’s with that circular Mosaic Giant Door? I have already entered leap state, how can they still lock onto me?”
Noland broke into a cold sweat, his heart hammering violently. What unfolded before his eyes was too incomprehensible, utterly overturning his understanding of “leaping.”
The Snow-winged Cat sensed the threat from behind and its two snowy wings flapped faster, trailing afterimages as the speed of the leap suddenly increased by several magnitudes.
