Chapter 1003

Chapter 1003: 312. Dark Death Cauldron_2

“Shadow Cloak.”

This is a piece of magical armor woven from shadow energy and shadow demon materials, not the kind made of metal like Magic Metal Armor.

“Shadow Cloak” and “Magic Shield” can coexist.

It uses shadow energy to negate a portion of non-shadow energy spell attacks.

Specifically, how much non-shadow energy each point of shadow energy can negate is determined by the level of the Shadow Series Combat Wizard and the magic materials used to make the armor.

The City of Exiles raises so many shadow demons outside the city precisely to collect their magic materials to strengthen spells like “Shadow Cloak” that require magic materials.

...

Right now, these three Shadow Death Watchers, their “Shadow Shield” only has a 30% resistance to thunder and lightning, and were quickly penetrated by the Tracking Thunder Arrows.

But the “Shadow Cloak,” appearing like a black hooded cloak, saved their sorry lives, bracing against the barrage of lightning.

Tiny electric snakes scurried across the surface of the cloak, yet they couldn’t harm these three Shadow Death Watchers in the slightest.

Furthermore, upon realizing that Noland Lee’s Tracking Thunder Arrows couldn’t penetrate their defenses, the three Shadow Death Watchers stopped beating around the bush.

As if sharing one mind, they reversed their flight direction, heading straight toward the location of the City of Exiles.

It seems they are planning to rely on their “Shadow Cloak” to forcefully break free from Noland Lee’s pursuit.

“If you think that’s all I’m capable of, then you’re gravely mistaken.”

Noland Lee chuckled softly to himself.

He waved his hand and took out five Magic Scrolls from his Magic Pouch, tearing them open with “Mind Capture.”

The five Magic Scrolls burst forth with radiance of thunder and lightning, converging in mid-air to form an additional five “Tracking Thunder Arrow Arrays.”

Together with the previous one, there were six “Tracking Thunder Arrow Arrays” hovering in front of Noland Lee.

Surge of thunder and lightning energy flowed from the Elemental Energy Reactor in Noland’s left hand, traveling along his torso to his right hand, and from his fingertips, split into six streams of lightning entering the six arrays.

“Humming…”

The six arrays trembled slightly, operating at full capacity.

Intense, rainlike Tracking Thunder Arrows shot out, pursuing the enemy into the stalagmite-filled underground space, causing a surging tide of thunder and lightning.

This formidable lightning onslaught caused the enemies’ hearts to leap to their throats.

Seeing a sky covering barrage of Lightning Arrows appearing behind them and being unable to do anything but watch as they were caught up, the three Shadow Death Watchers involuntarily let out cries of despair. noveldrama

“No!!”

“Who exactly is this person?!”

“Why can he cast death, rock and soil, and thunder and lightning magic at the same time!!”

“Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom…”

The underground space echoed with a dull resonance.

Oversaturated lightning attacks tore the three Shadow Death Watchers and their Shadow Fragments into oblivion.

[System Message:]

[You have annihilated 3 “Shadow Death Alert Wizards.”]

[You have received a reward of 320,000 energy points.]

[You have unlocked the target’s panel information.]

[You have obtained the target’s memory fragment.]

The system message delivered a final verdict, confirming the complete annihilation of the enemy.

Noland Lee glanced over the memory fragments and saw that the enemy hadn’t had time to signal the City of Exiles, and he silently heaved a sigh of relief.

He redirected the pursuit of the Tracking Thunder Arrows towards those Shadow Death Wanderers who had called for reinforcement earlier.

After more than ten seconds, every Shadow Deather that showed up in the vicinity met their demise, and the relentless echoes of thunder and lightning finally subsided.

“Very good, very good. This way, the City of Exiles will only know they’ve lost a patrol team, but not how it disappeared. They’ll attribute the thunder and lightning energy fluctuations to a genuine Thunder Wizard, not a Death Wizard or Earth Rock Wizard. My two secret weapons have been deployed, but not exposed. Not bad at all.”

Noland Lee chuckled softly, signaling Nolin to clean up the battlefield for him.

He himself began to prepare for the next round of encirclement and suppression from the City of Exiles.

The next time, his enemy would probably be led by an Eighth-Circle Shadow Series Combat Wizard.

An eighth-Circle wizard can apply to a Saint Wizard for the Casting Permissions of Holy Rank Spells.

If an Eighth-Circle Wizard were to open the Shadow Sub-dimension, then Noland Lee felt he might not necessarily be able to defeat the opponent.

The last time he faced a guard from the Pangula Family, they summoned the Terrane Subdimension to suppress him.

He mastered Pangula’s Rune and used it to fortify the “Huge Rock Shield,” which made the Terrane Subdimension think he was one of their own.

This time was different; the Seventh-Ring Dark Death Alert Wizard he killed hadn’t possessed a Magic Rune that would be recognized by the Shadow Sub-dimension.

If he couldn’t obtain this magic rune by deconstructing an Eighth-Ring Shadow Death Watcher, then Noland Lee needed to reconsider his approach to dealing with the potential emergence of the Shadow Sub-dimension.

“Let’s start by meeting the Eighth-Circle Dark Death Alert Wizard and see how it goes; if things get too serious, Denise Green can teleport here and get me out.”

Noland Lee, while checking his Magical Items, mulled over in secret:

“There are five Shadow Deathers with Eighth-Ring strength in the Deconstruction Results. I wonder which one of them will be coming to hunt me down. Or could it be that it won’t be someone with Eighth-Ring strength, but one of those two Deputy Mayors with Nine-Circles strength?”

Well, this is somewhat embarrassing.

Noland Lee had previously boasted about wiping out the City of Exiles, which was, at the very least, a bit of wishful thinking.
