Chapter 1426: Losing across the board
“Escape” seemed to have a deep understanding of the Void Tribe, and with a sigh at the end of his speech, he lamented:
“Almost all Void Spears die in acts of cannibalism shortly after their birth. They activate the ability ‘Borrow from the Future’ as soon as they are born, then immediately die due to an inevitable future.”
“The Void Spears you saw earlier far exceeded my expectations, perhaps one in a trillion would emerge.”
“With this in mind, you should understand why, despite possessing ‘Borrow from the Future,’ the Void Faction is still suppressed by the Supreme Star Palace. They try to wield power from the future without the ability to foresee it, ultimately leading to their doom.”
Noland Lee nodded thoughtfully:
“I guess, as members of the Supreme Star Palace, the Assassin Angel and Senati should know how to deal with Void Spears. Perhaps it’s this advantage that has allowed them to survive attacks from Void Spears and preserve their lives.”
...
The Escape Core of the Plane said:
“If you intend to contact these two angels, I can help you, though doing so might expose this safe house to Extraterrestrial Eternity. However, I suggest you try to contact the Scroll Angel first and inquire about the situation in the Inner Cosmos.”
“Why do you say that?” asked Noland Lee.
“Escape” explained:
“I only know that the Assassin Angel and Senati escaped with serious injuries, but I don’t know where they are. The Inner Cosmos is likely their sanctuary, which is the first reason I suggest you contact the Scroll Angel first.
“The second reason is, if the Sacred Fire in the Inner Cosmos has already fallen into the hands of Extraterrestrial Eternity, you alone won’t be able to retrieve it, and it would be better to leave the starry realms quickly and settle in the Barren Universe.”
After a moment of thought, Noland Lee found “Escape’s” reasoning sound.
Inquiring about the Scroll Angel’s situation was a way to clarify the direction of events.
If the battle with Extraterrestrial Eternity for the Sacred Fire was already lost, then whatever efforts Noland Lee made to find the hidden Assassin Angel and Senati would be in vain.
Instead of engaging in fruitless efforts, it would be better to contact the Scroll Angel first to understand the situation in the Inner Cosmos.
“But I’m not sure if the ceremony will receive a response from the Scroll Angel, given that all portals to the Inner Cosmos are closed…”
Noland Lee muttered to himself in thought, eventually deciding to give it a try first.
He skillfully set up the ritual array, input Soul Energy, and activated the Array.
Soon, exciting good news came!
The ceremony worked as intended, and Noland Lee’s consciousness, under the effect of the ceremony, left his body and instantly reached near the Black Hole of the Inner Cosmos, then plunged into it.
In the purple-black space, there was only one faint light point, the endpoint of this ceremony, which was the projection of the Scroll Angel in the ceremony.
Noland Lee’s consciousness approached the light point.
The outline of the light point rapidly sharpened and transformed into a completely enclosed Stone House where, slumped on the floor and leaning against a corner, was the Scroll Angel.
The Scroll Angel sensed Noland Lee’s ceremony, seeing a rapidly condensing translucent figure before him.
“You finally contacted me, Noland Lee… be careful of everything around you, be wary of the Assassin Angel, Senati, and any other living thing that contacts you; they could very well be disguises from Extraterrestrial Eternity.”
“I know, I know, I’m now with ‘Escape,’ and we’re very safe,” Noland Lee replied.
Just as Noland Lee was about to walk closer to observe the Scroll Angel’s injuries, an abnormal occurrence suddenly happened!
A Black Trident pierced his heart from back to front, and then it thrust into the Scroll Angel’s head!
“Cough!” noveldrama
Noland Lee’s eyes widened as he coughed out a large cloud of blood, intense pain from his chest overtaking his mind.
Disbelieving, he looked down at the Black Trident piercing his chest, only to see it suddenly extend, crossing trillions of light-years of distance to pierce the Scroll Angel’s head!
“Bang!!”
The Scroll Angel’s head exploded, thick dark Water gushing from the cracks!
The angel who had aided Noland Lee for so long had perished!
(The end of this book… just kidding.)
