Chapter 1133: 350. Plotting in secret_2

[Alert!]

[You have entered the detection range of the “Pure Light Domain”!]

[You have entered the effective range of the “Patrol Halo”!]

[You have entered the effective range of the “Character Examination Field”!]

[You have entered…]

No fewer than five warning messages appeared, each pointing to a different all-encompassing detection spell designed to protect houses.

...

Fortunately, with the “Veil of The World” in action, Noland Lee was exempt from all these detection spells and was completely unaffected.

“Good, stop here, no need to go in,” the Assassin Angel instructed Noland Lee who was about to slip through the crack of the door into the study room.

Noland Lee stopped in place, looking through the door at Jay Spade, who was seated behind the desk.

The man was communicating with someone else and oblivious to the uninvited guest outside the door.

Noland raised his left hand, the one with the ring, in front of him, aiming at Jay Spade through the door.

An invisible rhythm emitted and accurately landed on Jay Spade.

“Hoo~~~”

A gust of wind arose inside the study room, causing the candlelight to flicker and pages to flutter.

Jay Spade shivered slightly, drew the curtains aside, and looked outside. He saw the wind sweeping through the street, lifting leaves and skirts in its path.

He forcefully pushed the window shut, narrowing the gap, then turned around and sat back at his desk to continue writing the letter.

Outside the study room.

Noland Lee lowered his arm and turned to leave.

The Assassin Angel said,

“All went smoothly, have your Mechanos retreat.”

“No problem, Your Excellency,” Noland Lee issued the retreat command to Nolin.

The Assassin Angel added,

“Relax your mind, I am about to imbue you with a magic screen.”

Noland was startled but didn’t resist.

Invisible energy flowed from the ring, merging into Noland’s brain and forming a magic screen in his vision.

It was Jay Spade’s point of view!

The content on the screen was all about the letter Jay Spade was currently writing.

Monitoring the every move inside the Pure Light Court from the perspective of an Eight Ring Clean Light Mage—how is this any different from cheating!

In that instant, Noland realized that the Assassin Angel’s Invisibility ability was truly a game-breaker.

His Mental Magic could only bully lower-ranked wizards, seven-rings and below…

The Assassin Angel spoke,

“Pay attention to the recipient of the letter. Tell me the origins and identities of these names.”

Noland flew back to his temporary residence with Denise Green, pulled out a chair, and sat down at the table.

He focused on the magic screen in his mind, especially on the recipients of the letters.

Jay Spade’s letter had eight recipients, corresponding to eight separate letters sent out.

The recipients included Grand Arbitrator Paredes, Elder Skimming Light, Pure Light Patrollers, Chief Law Enforcement Inspector, and four wizards not from the Pure Light Court.

Noland wrote down these names and activated his psychic sense with Selena, asking her to help him collect information about these individuals.

About ten minutes later, Selena sent back her investigation results with a Magic Messenger.

“Your Excellency, the information you requested is all here,” Noland laid out the letter on the table for the Assassin Angel to inspect.

An information-dense analysis of intelligence ensued.

The letters Jay Spade wrote to the four Light Wizards were insignificant; it was him reporting to his superiors, a part of his job.

The contents of the four reports were largely similar, analyzing the Sea Monsters and the Undead Cult, along with proposing strategies to counter them.

The real focus was the letters Jay Spade wrote to the four wizards not from the Pure Light Court.

It seemed that the Pure Light Court had reached some sort of cooperation with the forces behind these four non-Pure Light wizards.

As long as the Pure Light Court gathered critically important Intelligence, they were required to share it with these four wizard forces at the first opportunity.

These four wizard forces were the Wealth Creation Society, Glowing Gold Society, Imperishable Metal, and Horale Gathering.

The Wealth Creation Society needs no further mention.

The Glowing Gold Society, while unfamiliar to Noland, was also well within his knowledge.

It was a branch within the Wealth Creation Society that specialized in the study of Metal Magic. noveldrama

The wizard force “Imperishable Metal” was one that Noland had encountered before—its member was the Sixth ring Metal Mage Pryne who Dickler Fegan had hired to assassinate him, Noland Lee.

As for the Horale Gathering.

This wizard force had an extraordinary background.

It was the Metal Series Wizard force established by the original staff of the Hotams Metal Department after it was shut down.

The four non-Pure Light Court recipients all came from wizard forces related to metal, and the implications behind this were more than clear.

The Metal Ancestor Dragon had effectively gained control over a large number of Metal Series Wizards, owning at least half the power within the Ulnas metal magic fields of the Inner Cosmos.

This was likely the result of the manpower advantage it had accumulated in the past year since entering the Inner Cosmos.

When the time was ripe for it to “raise its arms high,” gathering the Metal Series Wizards, it would be an extraordinary force to reckon with.

But still…

Would the Metal Ancestor Dragon be able to invade the Spinning Continent and eliminate the White Dragon with so many Metal Series Wizards at its disposal, or more bluntly put, as cannon fodder?

The Assassin Angel said,

“The Metal Ancestor Dragon’s most adept method is to mass-produce Metal Puppets out of metal. The so-called Synthetic Humans can be regarded as an extraordinary product it concocted, combining the concept of flesh and blood.

“Merely relying on the Power of Metal Series Wizards, the Metal Ancestor Dragon is still insufficient to eliminate the White Ancestral Dragon. It also needs a very, very large amount of metal. Moreover, this metal must be able to counter Magic Power and possess excellent anti-magic features.”
