Chapter 1207

Chapter 1207: 381. Completely none

The words of the Dusk Giants made Noland Lee think of his own plugin, the Deconstruction Core System.

If there was anything unique about him, it had to be this system.

Could it be that the System played a role similar to a “middleman”?

It absorbed the luminous flames of the Fire of St. Dillan, which should have been directly absorbed by Noland Lee, and then fed them back to Noland in the form of enhanced panel data.

Not only that, but the system seemed to have blocked out all things related to the Fire of St. Dillan.

Noland could neither see the so-called Sacred Fire Light nor feel its presence.

...

So much so that up to now, he did not know what the Fire of St. Dillan looked like…

“I have a question..” Noland pondered and said,

“Is there any way I can see the Fire of St. Dillan? Even just seeing its light would be fine.”

The Dusk Giants waved his hand, the Grey Mist swirling:

“This is not difficult, I have recovered some strength and can help you to create a channel between the Sub-Dimensional Plane and the Fire of St. Dillan. Watch closely…”

The Dusk Giants took a deep breath, raised his right hand, and stretched out his index finger forward.

Accompanied by a fierce exhale, swirling air waves turned into a dawn light converging towards his fingertip.

Noland felt the heat and the intense brightness, as if a brilliant miniature sun had appeared before him.

The Dusk Giants let out a low growl, his body trembling as if it were an earthquake.

The light at his fingertip grew intensely bright, and then with a swoosh, shot out into the distance as a straight Light Column.

The destination of this Light Column was unknown. noveldrama

When the Dusk Giants retracted his index finger, the stationary tail end of the Light Column expanded outward, turning into a trumpet-shaped circular window.

In the very center of this window, a phantom of a peculiar fire floated, casting colorful lights in all directions.

“Is this the Fire of St. Dillan?” Noland asked intently, staring at the Phantom of flames.

The Dusk Giants nodded and then slightly shook his head:

“It’s a part of the Fire of St. Dillan. To be precise, it is a beam of light that flows from the Sacred Fire. I have summoned this separated beam of light from the Sacred Fire using a secret technique of the Giant Clan. The Sacred Fire looks very similar to this beam; you might as well consider it as having seen the essence of the Sacred Fire.”

The Dusk Giants paused and asked:

“Do you feel anything unusual? For instance, feeling rejuvenated or suddenly having inspiration for previously unsolvable problems?”

Noland looked somewhat blankly at the serious expression of the Dusk Giants:

“No. I just think this beam of light is colorful and very beautiful.”

“That’s it?” The Dusk Giants paused.

“That’s it.” Noland shook his head.

“That’s strange, why is that?”

The Dusk Giants furrowed his brow, his face full of perplexion, as if he had encountered a problem that he had never anticipated.

Noland stared at the ball of light for a while then suddenly snapped his fingers:

“Can I touch this beam of light?”

“You can, but…but I don’t think anything will change.”

The Dusk Giants let Noland stand on his palm and extended his hand near the ball of light.

Only after getting closer to the ball of light did Noland realize it was much larger than he had imagined; from afar it appeared the size of a fist, yet close up, it was easily over thirty meters high.

Noland cast a Deconstruction Technique towards the entity while slowly extending his arm, trying to touch it.

[System Information:]

[You are about to launch a Deconstruction Technique on “Light of the Fire of St. Dillan”.]

[Attention, due to unknown reasons, you cannot deconstruct this object.]

Unable to deconstruct??… Noland’s heart skipped a beat; now he was eighty percent sure that the system had isolated him from all contact with the Fire of St. Dillan.

If that were the case, then there probably shouldn’t be any feedback when he touched the ball of light now, should there?

Noland placed his hand on the ball of light, even reaching into it.

As expected…

Nothing happened.

The hand Noland had extended into the ball of light did not change at all, just as if he was touching not the Sacred Fire Light but merely a bundle of ordinary air.

The Dusk Giants asked with a hoarse voice:

“Do you feel anything?”

Noland withdrew his arm:

“No feeling.”

“Not even a little?”

“Yes, absolutely nothing.”

The Dusk Giants stared, wide-eyed as if seeing a ghost:

“How can this be possible? This this this… This is illogical.”

Noland thought for a moment; this matter wouldn’t be clear any time soon.

He waved at the Dusk Giants and said:

“Let’s figure it out later.”

The Dusk Giants touched his head:

“Alright. So do you still want to keep the channel open to get the Light of the Sacred Fire in the Sub-Dimensional Plane? If we close this channel, we can save a lot, a lot of the Space Matrix.”

Noland hardly hesitated before he had an answer:

“Let’s close the channel then. I’m quite low on energy right now.”

The Dusk Giants extended his right arm towards the trumpet-shaped light screen where the ball of light was and with a boom, shattered it completely.

The light screen and the connected Light Column both disappeared, turning into crystalline fragments that merged into the Grey Space Matrix.

In the time that followed, Noland Lee and the Dusk Giants together built the Sub-Dimensional Plane.

Noland felt that the homestead constructed by the Dusk Giants had a style leaning towards nature and primitivism, which quite suited his tastes.

Thus, he had the Dusk Giants create a Sub-Dimensional Plane that included mountains, water, and a setting sun.
