I have such a rich inner world,
That I sometimes forget,
That a lot of it, can be reflected outside of it,
As my mind, wanders,
Begins to dream,
Of heaven,
Such wonderful things,

Sometimes, a beautiful woman will walk by me,
As I grow greedy, as I grow hungry,
Yearning to eat, to feast,
I'll suddenly remember, look up,
There's a supermoon above me,
As I grow paranoid, anxious,
I remember, there are hunters in the night,
I have to be careful, as my mind wanders,
To myth and legend, I remember,
There are many things, I couldn’t possibly know,
The city, the world, the universe, is operating outside of me,
As I bathe in innocence, in the good of the world,
Its generosity, the wealth, it has built,
Generations, and generations,
Of blood, sweat, and tears,
Just to get here,
I forget, whether I’m drenched in blood,
Whether I’m just feeding on children,
Did this world save me?
