V3 Chapter 69

"Don’t even think about it!”

Cian grinned viciously.

"I caught you now, Wolf King!"

Shortly afterward, coated with blazing flames and lightning, his right leg directly kicked the lower jaw of the Wind Wolf King and it again flew into the air- higher, and more disoriented.

Afterward, Cian also jumped mid-air, an invisible platform seemed to have appeared underneath his feet, and he flew in the air at an incredible speed. Then in the air, while making a big arc, he heavily kicked the Wild Wolf King on its belly.

Helpless, and stunned by the force of his attack, the Wind Wolf King could only watch his leg struck it on its wide, exposed abdomen three times, and then disappeared only to reappear above it, launching an axe kick on its head.

“Boom!”

Because of Cian’s axe kick, the Wind Wolf King was blasted downward. Hitting the ground heavily, causing huge smoke and dust to rise. Its mouth howled a sad call.

Thud!

Cian steadily landed on the ground but didn’t step forward because he didn’t believe that it was this easy to defeat Wind Wolf King. His face retained its solemn expression. Still, he didn’t forget to immediately take out a healing potion and drank it. His face was grim.

That last hit…. the Wolf King was actually able to react with his speed and block his attack just after he had moved.

The monster’s power and speed seemed to have recovered a bit, and even its reaction had become better… no, rather it had returned to how it was.

Did the curses already lose their effect?

Though, if that happens, it would not be strange. After all, it was an A-ranked magical beast. It’s base power already above that of Leona when they first met. Though right now, Leona might be able to have a good fight against an opponent like this with her evolution, it would not mean she would emerge victoriously. And compared with his magic, the Wolf King’s power is higher so his curses barely even work.

A Wolf King... one that stood above most monsters. One that is hailed as the King of Monsters. Its power is really astonishing.

Sure enough, before long, the giant wolf’s shrill ululation resounded from the midst of the smoke and dust. And a huge fluctuation of wind magic could be sensed.

Fwoooosh.

All the smoke and dust was blown away, and Cian clearly saw what was going on.

He caught the sight of the Wind Wolf King’s half squatting body, condensed in front of its mouth a powerful fluctuation of wind attribute magic. Its eyes were filled with resentment.

“Not again!”

Hopping to his feet, Cian immediately sped off as a blast of azure energy was fired his way, missing by a fraction of an inch. Unlike the Wind Wolf King, shooting another Demon Blast would make him dry. Just how much magic power does this beast even possess?!

Coming from the Wind Wolf King, one can see an entire line of destruction.

If someone is above them, surely they would have seen an incredible line that mowed everything on its path.

"Gah!?"

Cian rolled on the ground with a painful expression and then stared at his arm.

Damn, his left arm that had just been fixed and almost cured was now once again badly mutilated. If he didn’t have an incredible tolerance to pain, he would have been crying in agony, rolling on the ground like a kid.

He bit his lips and with a cracking sound, grabbed his mangled arm and fixed it like fixing a dislocated machine part.

“Gooo!”

He grunted in pain and vomited blood. However, this was not that time for a break, the Wind Wolf King once again stood up and run toward his direction, so he quickly jumped backward, pulled out a Healing Potion, and drunk it.

Drinking two Healing Potion simultaneously would have been suicide, however, his blood is already a horrifying poison itself, and so poison would be of no use against him.

Not to mention, with his passive [Fast Metabolism], the Healing Potion he had drunk a while ago had almost been absorbed completely by him in just a matter of minutes.

But drinking another would truly be stupidity. Not because of side-effects, of course. But he can’t risk gaining immunity on Healing Potion, that would be a problem in the long run!

With the small vial still on his lips, he jumped back hurriedly, as he felt something coming.

Not just one, but dozens.

There are still wolves?!

Cian widened his eyes in shock. However, his expression turned grim when he saw what was happening around the Wind Wolf King. The bastard, he was summoning wolves from his shadow!

Is that also a skill?!

“Damn bastard! Can’t he take a break?!”

…. …

Large wolves appeared from all directions, charging past him.

From behind was the humungous giant wolf that seemed easily reached a height of 4 meters when standing on all fours. The Wind Wolf King.

With a loud roar, the dozen left wind wolves immediately rushed towards him like he was a delicious steak.

Cian grunted, and then raised his hand, lightning pulses surrounded him. His eyes also emitted lightning arcs.

“Lightning Bolt!”

A ray of light shot out. The lightning that came out of the night with its dazzling brilliance, struck a large group of wolves in front of him, causing fresh blood to splatter around.

Most of the wolves died, while those that were able to survive suffered from fatal wounds. The other wolves yelped, and immediately took a few steps back and howled. However, before they could run away, the surrounding roots suddenly moved, and coiled around the beasts, strangling them.

The wolves can only yelp in fear, as their lives were sucked away.

Strong…

Regina and Amadea who were hiding at the top of the trees couldn’t help but stop as they watched Cian’s desperate fight. Especially as the swirling wind weakened and the scene slowly revealed itself to her.

The forest view had changed. Originally a lush green forest, now uprooted trees lay scattered about, and the forest's surface had been dug up, forming a tract of empty land. All this due to the Wolf King’s monstrous hurricanes and tornadoes and her beloved Master’s lightning and flames.

(These two are really monsters……)

Regina gazes at her Master, struck with awe. Now, she was feeling somewhat fearful. She thought she had already grasped her Master’s strength, with their previous battle, but to think that was nothing.

Lightning Magic and even Ice Magic. Two variant elemental magic. One is even rarer than the other. To think he can actually use them, aside from flame magic.

So he was really holding back before…

Regina could not help but smile helplessly. She beleived that if Cian had been serious fighting her and her comrades, they would probably not even last for a minute before they were annihilated. Strength, speed, power, and magic- all of these surpassed the strongest she had seen with her own eyes.

Cian run around the battlefield like a ghost, and several wind wolves fell amidst sprays of blood.

With the black long sword in his hand, he seemed to be dancing in a dance of death. With graceful movements, he swung his sword, spun, cleaved the bodies of the beasts that charged toward him and tore limbs apart, knocking them down.

Bodies were piling up around them like a little mountain

Regina felt it’s already a long time since the Wind Wolf King appeared, and it had fought against her Masters with dozen rounds, and yet, the beast king remained standing on the battlefield, ferocious and powerful as ever.

“He just can’t die, can’t he?”

Cian grunted.

He then swung the black sword in his hand. Responding to his need, the black sword wriggled, slowly transforming into a long black staff. In this way, his reach has lengthened.

He twirled the staff around his hands, as once again the beasts lunged at him. Drooling fangs and sharp, metallic claws, they pounced at him like hungry beasts.

He yelled as he collected enough strength to lift the black staff in his hand, which was now six meters tall and half a meter wide.

With a ready swing, the unusually colossal cudgel smashed three of the beasts, sending them back where they came from, whimpering. Their legs terribly broken as they crawled on the ground.

Seeing this, the five remaining beasts cautiously stop, backing away from him, feeling somewhat intimidated by his sudden burst of power. However, it was only for a moment as with the loud roar of the Wind Wolf King their fighting spirit once again welled up.

If the King wanted them to die, they would do so with willingness.

And they charged once again, disregarding their fear.

Cian let out a loud growl and once again, swung the huge metal cudgel to another side that swept dozens of beasts altogether. Then, another swing, the large black cudgel swiftly followed his master’s direction, appearing like a sledgehammer at the same time, a barrier that protected him.

Cian was also getting faster and faster at controlling the giant black cudgel and he even twirled it around his body, skipping and somersaulting in the air, blocking almost all the suicidal beasts that wanted a chunk of his flesh, and a gallon of his blood. Then, he ducked, and a wolf brushed past above him.

With how close the beast is, he can only let go of his weapon, his hand turned into sharp black claws instead, and hurriedly clawed in revenge as it passed him.

Blood splattered along with crimson-colored viscera as the wolf shriek and fell down on the ground. Cian didn’t stop and his leg sweep, sending other wolves in the air- then more and more wolves came pouncing at him.

With the black cudgel under his right armpit and his left hand turning into a claw, covered by scales, he charged towards the pack, cudgel swinging, claws reaping, legs whipping- painful cries and howls echoed in the area.

“Master!!”

Regina appeared, crying out. She crouched on the ground, and suddenly, the darkness seemed to materialize, “Darkness Jaw!”

The seemly solid darkness seemed to materialize and suddenly swept around the giant wolves, devouring them. The wolves let out painful cries and howls, but Regina’s strength is not enough to contain them for long. It had already taken a lot of her in constraining a dozen beasts simultaneously.

“Bloody Spears!”

Amadea appeared on time. Blood-colored sharp roots came out from the ground, skewering the wolves that were being restrained by Regina’s skills.

Cian glanced at them and smiled. Then, seeing a clear path before him, he charged without hesitation. The black cudgel unsuited for close combat immediately reverted to a black sword.

"Thou dare stand in defiance, Cursed Blood!!"

The Wind Wolf King watched as Cian charged straight at him and made a loud, threatening howl. Then, he also rushed out, intending to meet him head-on.

Beast vs Beast.

The Wind Wolf King had acknowledged Cian as a predator, just like him. It roared loudly, like a thunder bellowing and charged toward its opponent. Its keen sense of smell savored the lingering thick scent of the blood of its family on him, and its own blood boiled in fury, in hatred, and it was going to make its family's killer pay with his life.

Shiiiing!

The metallic claws gleam in danger as it dashed forward, intending to rip the accursed enemy in half.

However, the target for its rage had no intention of getting torn apart.

Baaang!

Cian could feel a strong vibration from his sword that was fortified with magic once it clashed against the Wolf King's sharp claws. The impact was so strong he almost dropped his sword. Still, gritting his teeth and roared, he pivoted on one foot and deflected the claws with the flat of his blades. With several quick swipes, he slashed through the Wind Wolf King’s body and inflicted a series of bloody gashes on the chest and arms.

Still, the Wind Wolf King ignored the pain as it lunged forward with surprising speed. A barrage of enormous fireballs came hurling towards him, but the beast easily avoided them.

A light bolt flashed in his eyes, and in an instant, his accursed foe appeared in front of him. The Wind Wolf King hurriedly jumped back, somersaulting in the air, then, turned around and started running away in the opposite direction, trying to widen their distance.

Cian hurriedly chased after it, and two of them breeze past through the thick, cluster of trees.

Roooar!!

The Wind Wolf King let out a howl, and wind blades immediately flew towards him. The trees around them, even those that tried to catch it, was then cut into small pieces.

“You can't run from me, Wolf King!! Ice Wall!”

Cian snorted, and suddenly a chilling wind came over, and ice started to gather in front of him, eventually turning a pair of large Ice walls that looked like large Crystal Gates. Still, he was worried that a single wall couldn’t withstand the attack so he summoned two.

Because of his limited strength and low mastery in Ice Magic, he could only produce 2 Ice walls at the same time. Though, he felt as if it was Asceius, he would surely be able to produce as much as he wanted.

But this time, it's enough!
