V2 Chapter 199

“Submit, or death…”

Cian stared at the creatures that were gathered together, pointing their weapons at him vigilantly with a dark cold gaze, enough to petrify someone to death.

Even though their fate had already been sealed, trying to struggle free and change their destiny set in stone, make them as pathetic as dogs. No rather, even a mutt would become quite adorable if it crawls on the ground. How can they not understand that the more they try to fight against it, the more painful it would become...?

Cian couldn't really understand the thoughts of the weak.

Well, even if he could, he would never try to understand it.

“Who are you?!”

A large, almost three meters tall Grakilis holding a large double-bladed axe walked over towards him. His face was monstrously fierce and with a large scar on his right eye and jaws full of shark-like teeth. His body was covered with bulky muscles that seemed to be made from rocks.

When he stood in front of him, he looks somewhat towering, making one felt intimidated. His upper body was naked, exposing his forged-like muscles amidst the fur, and one can even see the countless scars of battle that he seemed quite proud in. Below he only wore trousers made out of thick cloth.

Both his hands were covered by large gauntlets shining with a golden color. Even his feet were equipped with the same golden metallic armor. Calling him wild was the best description. His sharp, conspicuous, and beast-like eyes were facing Cian from below his unkempt, ruffled red hair, growling under his breath.

Cian remained unperturbed by the savageness that the monster was exuding. His lips curled into a faint smile; “Me?” he asked with mocking expression.

“I’m…what you call an inevitable,”

“Inevitable? What does that mean? And what is your purpose, wanderer? Say honestly, or else leave your head in this place!”

The Grakilis Leader growled in pressure.

But Cian still remained indifferent. He smirked coldly, “Purpose? I have one. I am justice. I am vengeance. And blood can only be repaid in blood. That’s my sole reason for being here. You harassed my people, and I came to repay that...in full blood.”

“Vengeance? Hah! You know nothing about vengeance!”

The Grakilis growled like a wild beast, not understanding what Cian meant. Behind him was a group of similar Grakilis, just a bit shorter than him but nevertheless, clothed like warriors. He waved the almost two-meter battle axe and waved it at Cian’s throat in ridicule.

“You coming into this place is a mistake! But fear not, as you shall be sacrificed to our great god! Be honored, beastman!”

In anger, the Manticore growled threateningly beside Cian, its fierce eyes seemed to be saying; ‘How dare you threaten my Master?!’

Cian stops the Manticore from attacking first. Calmly, and indifferent, he reached his hand and strokes the Manticore’s head, calming it down.

They should be the elites of this Tribe…

He stared at them with half-lidded eyes. Roughly around forty people, excluding children and the elderly, there were only thirty who can fight.

Quite low… did they actually spend most of their warriors towards the village, only to be killed by me? I thought it would be more.

Then, suddenly as Cian was observing the village, his eyes found several people—beastmen dragged by a chain attached to their collars. Most were women and children. Their eyes lifeless and they are extremely dirty. Some even have their limbs amputated. Several of them were tied just beside the houses, looking like pets.

I see, just like what I heard… these Grakilis are indeed acting like classic Goblins.

“Leave my head? High-sounding talk, but can you actually do it?”

Cian smirk in contempt.

“If I were you, I should keep my sleep-talking only after my death.”

“I won’t be able to talk if I’m dead!”

The scarred Grakilis scowled in anger.

“Oh my, so you understand at least this much? I wondered whether even your head was only filled with stupidity, but I guess 5% of it consists of brain tissue. At a bare minimum, you’re smarter than a cicada, that’s for sure. That’s quite a surprise,”

Their eyes began burning in anger. Though they couldn't understand what Cian meant, at the very least, they seemed to understand that they were being ridiculed.

"If I don't land my fist on that mug of yours, I'll die of regret anyways."

"Hell, a fist in the face isn't enough!"

"Hah! There's no guarantee whether I'll feel better or not even if I get to beat you up for the next days straight! I’ll gut you myself, bastard!!"

Cian chuckled in amusement.

Would you look at that?

They sure know how to swing their mouths, do they?

"I'll ask for the last time here. You sure you won't be regretting this at all?"

"We'll have to wait and see who regrets first, don't you think?"

The Grakilis Chief snorted in contempt.

The air creaked in tension.

"Keuh~. I'm shaking from hearing that typically villainous answer."

Cian laughed as he deliberately shook his body for all to see. The monsters in front of him began clenching their fists real tight when they saw his nonchalant reaction.

“You’re not only stupid; you are also suited to be a third-rate villain… unbelievable!”

“You bastard! Who the hell do you think you are?!”

A slightly younger Grakilis cried out arrogantly. He was holding a spear, which was actually quite properly made for a monster’s weapon. Was there a good blacksmith in this place?

When he did, the Grakilis around him took poses where they fully displayed their weapons. But that’s not what caught his attention—he was staring towards the village but he had completely surveyed the entire surrounding. All over the places, monsters were hiding. Not only the Grakilis, but there were also magical beasts and demi-humans waiting for an ambush.

Did they think they are already hiding their bloodlust like that?

Amateurs…!

But still, it seems like they are waiting for me… are they trying to let my guard down before attacking me with numbers?

Should I say they are thinking too highly of me?

… Or perhaps, they are underestimating me?

“Who I am, is none of your business, brat. You’ve all been an annoyance to my friends, but I am a good person, so prostrate your worthless selves in front of my selfless benevolence, for I will let you choose your fate by your will—Submit…or Death, make your choice now, I'm rather tight on time.”

“How dare you!!”

Clenching his teeth as the young Grakilis trembles in anger towards Cian, he then recklessly attacked. It seems like the anger had already reached his head, clouding his mind. He charged in front like an idiot, with rage dyeing his expression.

“Julay!!!”

The leader-like Grakilis with a large scar cried out in anger, but the young arrogant Grakilis who didn’t believe the opponent's strength, was able to pass nimbly by the scarface, then went passed by Cian’s front. However, before he was able to thrust his spear, a slender black sword suddenly expanded in his vision.

The sword came out of nowhere; in fact, he didn’t even see where it came from. Before he knew it, it was already headed directly on his throat.

“That’s what I’m saying, Amateur…”

A cold voice rang out on his bat-like ears.

Baaaang!!!

The thin black sword was only inches away from the Grakilis throat, as he trembled and plopped on the ground with his butt, fear dyed his expression. His knees gave out. However, there was no blood. The thin black sword was being blocked by a large axe, glowing dimly in golden light.

In front of Cian, was the Scarred Grakilis holding his axe.

When Cian moved, the scarred Grakilis was able to see it and immediately blocked the head of his axe in a timely manner.

Ho...?

Cian's lips curved upwards.

Reflexes, speed, and combat intuition were passable…

“You kill no one here!”

Grakilis roared in anger and pushed his sword back.

Cian lightly jumped backward… the strength of this Grakilis was beyond his expectation. However… having strength is not the only thing important.

“…you think you can stop me?”

Cian smirked.

He pulled the sword and swinging sideward.

"If I want blood, then there will be blood."

The Grakilis Leader stared at the black sword that seemed to be dyed in ink, as no light seemed to reflect on it. It was a black, dark, and dull, simple looking sword. The blade measured roughly 80cm in length and was double-edged, still, obviously with solid construction. Even a layman could tell that it was a coarse piece of mass-produced equipment.

Nevertheless, when he saw that sword, the Grakilis Leader couldn't help but shuddered when he saw the foxman in front of him holding the sword.

Although there was no basis, the instincts of a warrior had shaken in fear upon seeing that ordinary visage.

What is going on...?

Why am I feeling like this?

His opponent had not yet even entered a stance but was simply dangling the sword limply in his right hand. The intent to attack or defend could not be felt at all. One could only describe his appearance as slovenly.

Still, it was terrifying for no reason at all.

The Grakilis felt a great shock down his spine. Then, without any warning, he instantly bent over and spread his legs wide, then lowering into a crouching, forward-bent posture, just like a large carnivorous animal that caught sight of its prey.

Rather than forethought, the Grakilis Leader was guided by instinct which told him things would be dire unless he entered his most familiar defensive position right at this very moment.

"Amazing. What excellent instincts. As expected of a true warrior, or perhaps, a wild beast... I was certain that I was not emitting any kind of pressure at this moment, but to think you were still able to feel it. Now, I'm truly impressed. Even wild beasts would not feel it, yours seem to be particularly sharp."

Cian leisurely expressed admiration the moment he saw what the Grakilis Leader had done.

"What are you talking about?!"

"No, it's nothing...it's just some mere mumblings that's all."

"How long are you going to mock me, foxman!!”

Irritated by Cian's lack of emotion, and nonchalant expression, the Grakilis Leader couldn't help but become utterly enraged.

“I, Grephal—”

“Save it, it’s against my personal policy to remember the names of people I don’t like, and was going to die anyway. It’s a waste of brain cells, you know~”

Cian grinned mockingly as he cut off the Grakilis leader’s introduction without care.

“WHY YOUUUU!!! I SHALL TEAR YOU TO PIECESSSS!!”

A great number of small explosions took place on the surrounding.

When Cian realized that those were the aftereffects of the scarred Grakilis kicking the ground, the monster was already right in front of him. Brandishing his large battle axe and slashed at him as if it was tearing space itself.

Sadly, Cian had already seen it, and he side-stepped, dodging the attack. His leg sweeps but the leg was hit by the monster’s knees.

Again?

Cian's eyes narrowed.

Indeed, to think he can follow my speed. I guess those battle scars are not for show.

Then, suddenly as he moved, his body defied gravity, his hips rotated and his right leg swept down from above.

Baaang!!

His right knee successfully hit its target and rammed against the monster’s neck.

Grephal, the Grakilis Chief let out a painful growl and his body slightly crouched down from the impact. However, with its tough physique, Cian’s attack barely hurt him.

The Grakilis Chief’s right hand that was covered by a crude gauntlet flew towards his opponent when he found an opportunity. He launched a full-powered right straight towards Cian’s face. But once again, his fist missed leaving them without any kind of feedback, causing his body to pitch forward overenthusiastically.

Indeed, losing my [Vector Body] was quite problematic.

Cian smiled wryly. Then, he back down and his sword clashed against Grephal’s axe causing bright sparks in the air.

“Fuck you, you retard!!”

“Kill him!!! Kill the fucker!!!”

“Kill him Chief!! Tear him apart!!”

“Come on Chief!!! Use that axe of yours to slice him open! I want his guts for stew!!”

The gallery cried out in excitement as they saw their leader attacking Cian relentlessly.

The Manticore wanted to protect her Master. However, it was being attacked by several Grakilis, stopping its advancement. The Manticore roared in annoyance, and several people had already lost their lives trying to tie it down, but there are just too many.

The Manticore whose skin is almost impervious to physical attacks was like a flesh-made tank, running towards her master. However, even the Manticore cannot follow Cian and the Grakilis Chief’s battle.

"[Earth Wall]!!"

"Tsk!"

Cian's awareness was extremely high, he immediately felt danger, and instantly stopped his charge and made a horizontal dodging motion on his toes.

Boom!

A huge [Earth Wall] was suddenly erected from beneath the ground, if he had continued his forward charge, he would be fiercely ramming the wall right now.

To think even this crude-looking fellow knows [Earth Magic]. Although they acted like classical Goblins, their powers and strength are indeed something that cannot be underestimated.

Cian jumped back, his figure appearing and disappearing like a ghost. One wall after another appeared from the earth, no matter what direction he approached from, there was always an [Earth Wall] that blocked his advance. After a while, his entire vision was blocked by these walls.

These walls were 6.5 meters wide, 10 meters tall and two-thirds of a meter thick, breaking through wouldn’t be easy.

However, that is if the monster is fighting against a normal person.

Cian smirked coldly, and the slender, thin black sword in his hand, moved, slashing against the wall in front of him. It was just a mere swing of his sword.

Crack! Booom!!

Still, the moment the blade hit the wall, it was cut into small blocks, like a chunk of cheese. But didn't stop there, as the Grakilis Leader that was standing behind a series of [Earth Wall], staring at his opponent without averting his attention, suddenly felt a cold chill on his spine.

He could see the foxman's arms move. But, nevertheless, he could not see it. The foxman's arm and sword shimmered like a heat haze and vanished.

As a beast, he possesses an innate wild intuition, which, in fact, far sharper than that of his kind, and he had used this wild beast-like intuition of his numerous times in the past to survive many life and death encounters, reaching this day.

But to think, a day like this would come.

A day where even his incredibly sharp senses and bestial instincts would fail him.

The Grakilis Leader finally realized the gravity of the situation. But there was no turning back now. When the [Earth Walls] in front of him started to be cut into pieces, his heart throbbed. He was about to make his move again, when suddenly, despite still having two [Earth Walls] in front of him, he saw that the sword in the foxman's hand disappeared -- or rather, it appeared to disappear.

In that very instant, the Grakilis Leader; Grephal jumped back obliquely.

If I didn't do that, I would have died.

That was what he felt for no particular reason.

Without any running start, he instantly jumped back as far as he could.

Following that, most likely less than 0.1 seconds later, the two [Earth Walls] was exploded into tiny pieces, and the Grakilis Leader's former position was sliced through by a straight horizontal sword sweep -- that was what he felt. Since he could see neither the sword nor how it was swung, he could not be certain.

"You're making me even happier... now dance more happily for me, Grakilis!!"

Before Grephal could understand what had happened and had not even yet to react, a peal of icy cold laughter rang out fro his surroundings. Then, the cloud of dirt and dust around him was cut, like a mountain being sliced into two, and then there he was, the accursed Foxman shooting towards him, with thick, killing intent.

"This is still the beginning!!"

"How dare you!!!"

Grephal cried out in anger, shock, fear, and humiliation. And without hesitation, steadied his stance, and swung down the enormous battle-ax in his hand, slashing it down with a horrifying momentum that seemed to be able to flatten an entire mountain, and smash hill-like boulders into dust.

Crasssh!

Baaang!!

One enormous battle-ax above, while one thin, black sword below clashed, and a fierce shockwave, as if their powers manifesting in reality, creating a strong gale that blew away not only the clouds of dust and dirt, but also the nearby rocks, trees, and people.

Creak!

Grephal's enraged expression, and gritting shark-like teeth leaned forward, exerting all its powers to crush the thin, black sword downward. However, even with all his powers, the thin, and slender, black sword seemed to have been locked in the air, immovable as a mountain.

Cian's lips curved into a grin; "You're strong, but you are fighting not just me- you are fighting a power that is congealed from many strong into one single power. You are nothing, and in the end, you will also be reduced to nothing!!"

"...You, you monster!!!"

The Grakilis Leader roared in anger, and the strength he had exerted increased even more. Now, the thin black sword started to tremble. Cian's eyes gleamed brightly, and with impossible strength, raised the black sword upward, pushing back Grephal's battle-ax.

With enhanced speed and strength after activating his skills such as {Herculean Strength}, {Iron Skin}, {Barbarian’s Fury}, {Barbarian’s Strength}, {Jungle Empowerment}, {Hardened}, and many more, his strength and power had already reached a transcendental stage, that not even the Grakilis Leader could hope to contend.

Indeed, this was like one against many, as Cian’s power was a manifestation of many monsters, weak and strong compared to that of Grephal. It’s not something a single person could simply go against.

Shocked, and startled, Grephal’s eyes widened in shock. Though, he was able to snap out of it, and hurriedly jump back. However, that momentary lapse is a fatal mistake.

Cian had clenched his fist, so hard, one can even hear crackling noises that seemed like bones being broken. And before Grephal could jump back and evade, his fist was already thrown.

This punch contained all of his strength, the light formed around the fist, surrounding it for about half a meter.

“Grit your teeth, you might break them!!”

Baaaaaang!!!!
