V2 Chapter 110

Hearing Cian’s somewhat selfish words, Bluebird nodded her head and become lost in thought.

From the very beginning when she had seen Cian again in the night he had arrived in the Northern Border, she knew that he absolutely wasn’t a mediocre man like the world thought of him to be.

His eyes and that flamboyant temperament he showed unintentionally, all explained that he possessed one dissatisfied spirit—restless-as if suffocating in a confined space, always seeking for freedom. He was someone who wanted to stand atop the world but never like shouldering any responsibilities such as a Ruler.

You can say he is selfish and foolishly power-hunger, but never like caring about holding any kind of responsibility or obligation. To call him irresponsible is not an exaggeration.

Sometimes he can be warm as the sun, especially to those he loved and acknowledged. However, often he would be colder than ice, and completely avaricious to limitless extents. He wanted to stand above the world and devour anything that this world has to offer but would never care about the aftermath.

One can even regard him—as just a Monster.

Monster that devours and eats, satiating its appetite. The worst Monster there is--even worse than his Older Brother; Lucifalion who wanted everything due to greed.

... In the big war of the near future, what kind of role will he play therein?

One can't help but wonder.

Everything was all up to his decision.

He was a Monster— a Fool, who would take any path he fancied due to one of his whims.

Whether the world will be alright with him existing here or not—

Even the one claimed to be all-knowing; Bluebird doesn’t know the answer.

“Then what exactly is your goal, my dear Aanuel? Is it just looking for excitement? Or dominion?” Bluebird couldn’t help but ask.

Having heard the words of Bluebird, Cian pondered, and in an instant, he was at a loss. He had arrived in this world without rhyme and reason—not even asking for his permission. In addition, the one throw him in this world was kind of bogus as well and Cian just doesn’t know who to believe or trust.

Basically, he didn’t have anyone to trust in this world. Because of that, he experienced multiple life and death situations, but what exactly was his goal?

Contend for hegemony, he wasn’t interested, and becoming an emperor was even more troublesome, as he had to look out for the necessities of all the people under the heaven, and had to worry about the schemes of people, guard against rebellion and moreover guard against assassins too, is there any meaning in that kind of life?

At least, for Cian…he didn’t find become the son of heaven so appealing.

He wanted to own the world, but he didn’t have any interest in ruling it. If he did, he would have schemed against his beloved mother, and secretly ask the throne from her. But he didn’t. Instead, he took a roundabout way and slowly developed his own force…because; he wanted to give troublesome things to them and stay safe, even against his arrogant brother who wanted this poor prince life.

So, what am I looking for?

As if trying to find an answer, innumerable memories covered with dust resurfaced again like a flood. The faces of past life and this life appeared vividly in his mind. After that, all the faces gradually disappeared from his brain, leaving behind only peerlessly beautiful faces, including his true blood sister, and Sheena of his previous life, Sitana, Sibylla, Oriel, Ruka and other women of this life.

Ah…that’s right. Cian suddenly realized. In his journey up until now, he actually gained some irreplaceable things—that, even the one who didn’t trust anyone in this world at first, couldn’t help but fall and shared some pieces of his heart to people he had met. In which, such acts and idiosyncrasy would have made the former him laugh and mocked to death.

Indeed… Cian laughed and spat out all of his chaotic thoughts and said: “…Only looking for excitement. There is that...but that is not all. Since before and now, I still like thrills and adventures. However, during this past year, along the way, I suddenly realized that my purpose had somehow veered off course without me realizing about it."

"... ..."

"...You know, my biggest wish is to bring along beauties with me everywhere under the heaven without any constraint and do everything I want, take everything I desire without anyone trying to steal things away from me, heh heh.” Cian added, bemused as if he saw visible lines of tension in the air.

“… …”

He smiled mysteriously. “That’s all there is to it—even if the Gods wanted something from me, as long as I don’t want to give it up, then I will—” Cian’s expression became extremely ruthless and an evil smile appeared on his face. “…I will slaughter them all, no matter what or who they are…!”

Bluebird was dumbfounded as she listened to Cian’s words that seemed like the arrogant boasts of a fool, then staring at Cian, she made a wry smile and said: “Do you think it is very easy to achieve this kind of goal?”

“Of course, it is not easy to achieve. In the first place, nothing is easy to achieve at first. However, it’s not impossible unless you deemed it as one. Because of that, I will make great efforts to obtain power and power… and power—I don’t know how strong would be enough, but I would not stop seeking it. It’s simple and easy to understand. Don’t you think so, Your Excellency?”

Cian laughed, suddenly feeling this idea was pretty good.

Seeing the relaxed and casual smile of the foolish prince in front of her, Bluebird surpassingly didn’t chided him or mock him, and instead showed a faint smile of amusement. Her judgment of Cian was not wrong. If one wishes to have true freedom, then not only one’s strength should be very high, moreover, their backer should also be very strong, standing at the pinnacle of this world’s pyramid while looking down all the living creatures.

Only like this, one would be able to do as one pleased.

Only in this way, would he be able to achieve what he said he would want to obtain.

In this world, where Gods is much closer to humans, nothing is indeed impossible. Just like the first Demon God who rebelled against the Gods. It’s harder and much more difficult than ascending to heaven, but it’s not impossible. After all, the first Demon God who made even the Land of the Gods trembled existed and paved such path.

It might be just bark of a fool to any who heard about it, but who knows—one thing for certain, only those who are considered fools by many are those able to shake the entire world and leave their names in the annals of history.

You cannot change the world if you are not crazy enough to even think about it.

And in this world who worshipped Gods, only an idiot and a fool are those who want to go against their Gods!

A fitting dream for the Foolish Prince that this world had once deemed as a Trash and Incompetent.

“…be careful, You’re Excellency,”

As Bluebird was savoring the taste of Cian’s words that give her much surprise, suddenly, Cian stared at her with a smile yet not a smile. Bluebird turned at him, confused. But what the foolish boy said next, made Bluebird’s eyes turned round as it could be—

“I mean, everything… I want everything…and that includes you,” Cian grinned evilly as he slowly stood up from his seat, staring at Bluebird who was shock from hearing his words. “Just you wait—I will make you mine. That day will come sooner than you could ever expect—”

The atmosphere in the room turned suffocatingly solemn that even a pin dropping on the ground would make much noise, like the sound of a bell ringing. Cian disregards the surrounding guards that were secretly watching and monitoring him and continued to smile at the dumbfounded Bluebird.

“Your Excellency, it seems this poor boy has drunk a little too much for this night. I still have an early morning tomorrow, so please excuse myself and thank you for accompanying me,”

Cian drank another cup of wine and said while staring at Bluebird with glazed but mirth-filled eyes before turning around and slowly walking away,

Seeing the relaxed and cheerful face of Cian which was strikingly alike as a cat that was able to steal a fish, Bluebird snapped out from her shock and before she knew it, she found herself exploding in laughter.

Her laugh was clear and melodious just like a jade bell as her cheerful expression made Cian stare at her without blinking his eyes.

“There are so many peerless beauties around you yet you have an insatiable lust. It’s truly easy to change rivers and mountains but it is hard to change a person’s nature.” Bluebird sipped at the cup of wine in her hand in order to hide her suddenly wild emotions—which she was completely not used to.

“When am I so lusty? Of course, it’s because of you. Your Excellency; Bluebird, look into my eyes and you will realize that I am already in such a high-leveled realm that a low lecher could never compare to me. The hearsays and stories about me, are not just exaggeration, I dare say. I’m the type who loves and covet beautiful things, and just couldn’t stay still as long as I can’t place my nasty paws on it.” Cian said with a serious face as the look in his heterochromatic pupils became deep.

Looking into Cian’s eyes, Bluebird seemed to be looking into a black hole. It seemed to be able to suck her soul towards his eyes—

“So you want me…Aanuel?” she suddenly asked.

Her face reverted to her usual indifferent and graceful expression as she stared at Cian.

Cian noticed her calling his real name, which was quite a rarity.

Cian stopped and glanced at her; “Ah, as you understand it, that’s right…a man will always tend to reach for a higher trophy. And that trophy…deserved to be you, am I wrong, Bluebird?” he asked, his false propriety and pretense disappearing in thin air as it was then replaced by the true face of one and only—Cian Cahlo.

Love and hate were separated only by a thin line.

There was a saying that went, the deeper the love, the deeper the hate.

However, the reverse was also true.

The deeper the hate, the deeper the love.

Although Cian didn’t truly love her, like the pure love he had for Sibylla and the others, he hated her—he feared her, feared more than anyone else in this world. And he wanted to conquer that fear!

This is not about love anymore, but about wanting to possess her.

He feared her, he hated her for all the things she had done, and only the sole revenge he wanted to give her was for her to be in his palm, like she always does to the people around her, including the original Aanuel…!

After that, whether love can bloom slowly or not, depends.

It didn’t matter if the feeling he had was love or hate, or just plain obsession. As long as his heart reflected his true feelings, Cian would neither complain nor regret.

Such was life.

In the world, two people who were originally madly in love might hate each other because of their love. Two people who originally hated each other to death might fall in love with each other, becoming lovers that the world might envy.

If that’s the case, why bother wanting a person because of mere love?

He can slowly take it after he has her.

And so, Cian didn’t really care to confirm what he really feels at Bluebird—which he was certain, not Love, before wanting to have her.
