V2 Chapter 66

“… …”

Hearing the second prince heartfelt words, Ezra felt heavily touched.

She bit her lips in indescribable frustrations as well as the baffling sweetness that was boiling within her heart.

“Nonsense, too much nonsense, young one! The sin of attacking his Highness is a grave matter…! In addition, the Eden you are talking about is a mystifying organization with no clear colors and origin…how could we placed trust in you…?!”

The second prince shrugs his shoulder, “Then, I can only offend you, oh great general. But no matter what happens, I cannot let you take this lass, or else, where would I put my face…? I’ve given my word, then, I must see to it that it would be safely executed…!”

“If you can that is…!” The General snorted.

“Kyaa!” Ezra shrieked in panic as the second prince suddenly shifted his hold on her, placing her across his shoulders in a strange position. And despite the pain surging through her every part of her body, she also felt violated.

Never did a man has touched her like this, much less in this kind of compromising position. Ezra’s face turned beet red. If not for the fact that across her face, the Second Prince’s expression was not the least bit tainted by any kind of malicious intent, as well as the fact that they were in a very dangerous situation, she would have bashed the Second Prince face due to anger and shame.

However, unknown to Erza, this kind of carrying position was what they call a Fireman Carry. With this, the Second Prince was able to carry Ezra securely using only one hand, leaving his other hand free and his movements slightly better than before.

Without thinking about the shameful emotions surging the young knight,

“…oh I can,” The Second Prince happily bent down - using a strength that could literally break the entire building, he jumped towards the furious General.

… …

"Wha—?!" This panicky shout came from the General as he saw the masked youth before he took a sudden action.

Like a wild beast that had been freed from constraints, the masked youth burst out in power and ferocity that even he, never expected.

Within a second, the masked youth had used all his strength to arrive in front of the general's face, smacking the Lionfang against the roof of the building he was standing faster than lightning and louder than thunder.

After crashing into the building, and creating a huge crack on the ground, destroying the entire house in the process, General Profar glared at the masked youth and spat out: "You.......What the hell!"

The masked youth’s movements had changed…even his power seemed skyrocketed, to the point he was taken off-guard.

"Indeed, you are strong and peerless, great General. However, that doesn’t mean you can take a candy before my eyes. Now then, let's do this!" the Masked Youth gave out a 'Hahahaha' manic laugh and started using his brute force to kick the general away.

Although the General didn’t dare block the masked youth’s attack after experiencing some before and instead blocked the kick with his battleaxe with great difficulty—with his face in constant friction, he could still roar while remaining uninjured: "Don't look down on us, you twerp!" Waving his battle axe, it produced a strange wind noise as it was swung like a baseball bat.

A disturbance was created his momentum from the menace coming from the General, forcing the Second Prince to stop. Taking this chance, the General escaped from the latter’s grasping, instead of pursuing him. He had already felt the Second Prince unusual strength and explosive power that cannot be belittled. Probably because there were some injuries in his mouth, he spat out some red-colored liquid and told the masked youth:

“… You are really something…! I just could not see through you—just what kind of sorcery are you using…?!”

"I'll have to thank you for that. Well, my report card did always evaluate me as a [Unpredictable]. I'm always full of confidence, no matter good or bad, disrupting people's expectations is certainly my forte." The second Prince under the mask let out a 'Hahahahaha' was currently standing at the top of the broken roof.

Looking both ridiculous and unusual, his ankle was currently buried deep into the roof, resembling nails. As the second prince was clenching his fist to start another attack, suddenly at this moment—

A ghastly and incomprehensible sound rang out. This caused the people’s attention to turn towards the source, only to find a girl with green colored hair, playing a flute, while glaring at the Second Prince direction.

“This is bad! That is a Tune Magician—don’t listen to the song!!”

Ezra cried out in horror.

In every war, the most troublesome thing to encounter the most was not stubborn knights or Magicians but those users of Tune Magic. Although they didn’t possess destructive attacks like warriors and melee combatants, nor the flexibility and annoying powers of a mage, Tune Magicians are those the most troublesome, due to their illusion-type powers that can trap anyone within their palms. Also, it’s not easy to defend even if one uses barrier magic. As long as the target hears the sound, he or she will fall into the illusion without fail!

And when you did, it would be extremely troublesome to extricate oneself from it!

At this moment, the battlefield that was originally noisy and hot-blooded came to a stop.

A discordant note was played that enveloped the whole area, without any immunity to the sound. When the crowd heard the sound, they started to bend down on their knees as if feeling dizzy.

The abnormal situation happening below widened the second prince eyes. He had heard before about Musical System Magic and was quite intrigued about this magic system. But now he was finally able to see it first-hand. Indeed, in a crowd, especially in a war, this kind of power would be most troublesome to deal with compared to Mages.

Fortunately, Tune Mages are scarce and rare, as it was extremely hard to cultivate or learn Tune Magic, with strict requirements in Soul, Magic Control, and Music attainment to be able to meet at least the bare minimum to become Tune Mage. Furthermore, Tune Mages cannot use just any Musical Instrument, one must be a Magic Vessel—which was a rarity as of itself…!

Though, the second prince had heard about someone existing in history about a Godly Tune Mage that can affect and influence a large number of people with just a sound they casually made—they are called ‘Muses’ or ‘Charm users’

However such people had already been lost in the passing of time—of course, aside from the monsters found in the Western Seas called ‘Siren’

Looking at the female demon that was playing her flute and attacking the second prince, the latter immediately leaked out a proud smile and responded: "Oh....? Is this the magic flute? Incredible, this is the first time I saw it with my own eyes…”

While the crowd slowly lost their reasoning of what they were doing, the Second Prince stood there as if nothing had happened. Even Ezra was bewildered as she suddenly found not hearing any noises aside from the second prince… what’s going on? What is this?

"This....This guy....! My music doesn't work.....?"

The green-cloak wearing demon girl inhaled deeply, with her beautiful lips trembling.

In contrast, the General who retained his composure turned towards the girl. "Ruxi, retreat first. Judging from his expression, your power seemed to be ineffective."

“But!”

“No buts… you will only hinder the others..!”

After Ruxi puckered her lips again, she immediately leaps backward and hides into the shadows, disappearing in the Second Prince vision.

Looking at her leave and not showing any sign of trying to pursue, the Second Prince just merely stood at his original position.

Perhaps feeling quite surprised, the General looked at masked youth with probing and puzzled eyes.

"........I don't get it, why did you let her go?"

The Second Prince snorted, “Do you think I’m that lowly enough to chase a little girl…?”

And besides, he knows how rare and valuable Tune Mages are. If something happened to that Tune Mage, his sister would surely explode in anger.

That is something he cannot allow…!

“Then, should I thank you…?”

The General response seemed to be quite sentimental.

He leaked out a ferocious smile, before swinging his Battleaxe forcefully. The sharp sound enveloped the area and dramatic changes started to happen on the rock, eventually, it became smooth like before.

He then landed on the other side of the broken roof, directed facing the Second Prince and got into a fighting stance.

“You don’t need to, I’m used to taking things in kind~” The Second Prince responded.

Heh! Both of them got into their fighting stance while laughing.

Both of them suddenly leaped towards each other almost simultaneously, creating huge cracks in the o their footings, eventually destroying the large building into smaller pieces with both rocks and dust falling together. The General Profar used the Battleaxe to receive the Second Prince destructive fist which seemed to have the capacity to break the mountains and rivers.

The huge force that General Profar received made him surprised, but he took one big step back to support his feet.

With [Vector Body], controlling all existing vectors around him, almost no one else could receive the Second Prince blow—up until now that is.

Indeed, the infamous Lion Fang of the Northern Border, the trusted General of her beloved sister is indeed in another level…!

While fighting, the Second Prince was happily laughing.

"Ha! As expected of the Great General....You’re above any demons I have met!"

"Che! Those were my lines, you twerp—!"

After roaring, General Profar used his strength to swing the huge battleaxe across.

BOOOOM!!!

The impact of the roar created from the blows not only affected the two combatants, but also the surrounding Imperial Guards around them was blown away by the impact of every blow, and even the land around them started to vibrate.

Crack! The upper part of Second Prince’ mask crumbled apart, revealing his right red eye. Fortunately, with the hood still intact, no one can clearly see his appearance, except for Ezra. However, blood had already started leaking from his abdomen, back, legs and right arm, displaying a terrible appearance.

“…….I’ll says so about myself, but I sure am sturdy.” Keho, the second prince coughed blood. It was evident that he was injured all over his body. Rather, his condition begged one to count what part of his body wasn’t injured. His sense of pain was already numb, and his blood flowed freely.

On the other hand, The Great Lion Fang of the North, the Demon General Profar Von Leonel also did not battle unscathed.

The tip of his arms and legs were dripping with blood because of the last impact, and he was losing quite an amount of blood. This shows that even though he was able to counter the Second Prince’ [Vector Body] to some extent for some unknown reason and even his body that was impervious to any normal weapon, not losing to a mythological Nemean Lion’s invincibility aspect, he was still greatly affected by the Second Prince attack Vector controlled attacks.

The difference between his condition and the Second Prince, however, was that none of his injuries were fatal.
