V2 Chapter 49

“…Why are you always this rude when you speak?!” Sayrash scowled and her face flushed red. Although she was always unreasonable and prone to beating people up when she hated a person but the problem is, the person she hated the most was the infamous Second Prince. She can headbutt with him using words but a physical fight was a no go. Even if she could win, her family would surely be implicated…!

Even if they had the First Princess backing, but who didn’t know about the unfair treatment of the Demon Empress to the Second Prince…? The Demon Empress would surely point her ire towards them—and that would be the worst terrible outcome that could happen. Just why… just why does she favor this scum…?! She couldn’t understand nor could anyone…!

Hearing her words, Cian can’t help but smile mischievously, “I wasn’t raised a cultured man. I haven’t even attended a primary school before. Going to work is like hanging myself and I’m not also that good at socializing. Facing everyone with a nice hollow mask is suffocating…every damn time. Now that I’ve gotten the chance to have some fun, do you still want me to put on that accursed mask?” Cian said as he happily raised his calves. Giggling, he said, “Let me tell you. I’ve had much more freedom to speak when I am facing the person I hated the most. And congratulations, you are among the topnotcher. What’s with the gaze? Oh, do you feel honored? Too bad, you haven’t even heard the half of it. Do you want me to tell you more?”

“You’re welcome to listen to yourself.” Sayrash gave him an angry stare before turning around and leaving to the place. Half of what Cian said, she couldn’t understand but that doesn’t mean she hadn’t understood the meaning. Bang! She slammed the door of the changing room as she left.

“Heh, you’re ten years short if you want to fight me with words, little lady~” Cian snorted. After successfully chasing away the hateful wolf, Cian shrugs his shoulders and walk towards the direction of Sibylla with Ruka and then sat at the chair facing the dressing room.

After a few seconds later, Sibylla finally walks out and showed Cian the first outfit she changed into. “How is it?” She came out wearing a thin pink colored shawl, a tiger-striped sleeve blouse with a matching knee-length skirt. With a touch of tiger-striped hand sleeves—her original angelic appearance had somewhat turned into quite a wild beauty. Cian was impressed.

“Not bad,” Cian said. “…let’s take it.”

“Rawr!” Sibylla playfully made a tiger impersonation, eliciting laughter from Cian. Seeing Cian’s reaction, Sibylla giggled then went back and tried the various outfits the ram-horned woman with black skin was giving her. Sometimes, she looks angelic, sometimes, devilish, there were even those dresses from the human world and Beast World full of furs—all in all, it was a great watching an exclusive wife fashion show for Cian.

And at this time, the people in the far away corners also began to make all sorts of comments. Cian was very famous as a debauchee and pervert in the Demon City, so all the women and girls that came to this store to buy clothing recognized him. After all, this store has some fame and most of its customers were from high-class families. And since Cian rarely left the Palace, these gossipy women watch the infamous Second Prince and were listening carefully. And after seeing the beautiful Sibylla seemingly act lovingly in front of the Second Prince without any pretense or falsity, those women and girls were endlessly surprised. Other girls avoided him from far away, but how come she can act like that in front of the Second Prince…? Did she not know about the Second Prince personality and character…?

Most women here obviously knows about the relationship between them but all of them thought that Sibylla was just being forced against her will…but seeing this scene in front of them now—it doesn’t seem like it…!

Furthermore, seeing Cian’s gentlemanly behavior and countenance, and even feeling the gentle aura he exuded especially every time he saw Sibylla—why does the rumor seem somewhat... fake…? What is going on here? Who is this prince charming-like person in front of them…? That laughter and that smile… damn it! Is this really the Demon Prince they had heard about…?!

At this moment, from the corner of the room, Sayrash Stormblade was also feeling somewhat complicated. There was already preconceive character of the Second Prince in her mind…but after seeing and watching this spectacle before her, she can’t help but felt that what she had thought was slightly different from the real one…? Is that even possible…?

In fact, she had already noticed some disparities from the Second Prince usual behavior and character up until now. For example, when they were fighting, the Second Prince was infamous for being overbearing and unreasonable…if he didn’t like someone he would surely kill them, humiliate them or beat them up, all while using the name and status of the royalty to bully the weak. Not considering the consequences of such actions… However, ever since they met, that seems to be just hearsays. She had not realized it before because of this preconceived notion she has and because of that, without realizing anything, her arguments with him gone worst and worst until she can now curse him and mock him openly, which she should not have been able to do because of his and her status.

Despite this, they can headbutt and exchange curses and insults without care and fear of consequences. Sayrash didn’t know when that started though, it’s as if it just comes naturally…

What is going on…?

Now, with a clear thought and without any prejudice, she can finally see it.

Before her, was the Second Prince sitting patiently with a handsome and gentle expression—completely contrasting on the image she had.

“Husband, look, is the clothing I am wearing beautiful?” Sibylla smiled showing her eight attire, then rotating in front of Cian, she asked. She was wearing a pure white lace skirt, and with her unique warm aura, plus her that smile which was more beautiful than flowers, she looked beautiful, as if an angel.

“Mhm, beautiful.” Cian was somewhat dazzled and stunned as he said. Then, as if satisfied, Sibylla giggled in amusement and after showing every angle of it to Cian, she once again entered the dressing room to try another outfit. Her child-like behavior was incredibly warm to see—looking as if she was just a normal girl, untainted by the horrors of this world. And Cian like watching that… completely in contrast by the world, he was living.

He seemed to have been grasping that single light, the bright pure light coming from her, in order to retain his humanity…his holiness…

Well, it was nothing but a childish thought…though. After all, even if it was just a stupid and hypocritical notion, Cian was just looking for an object to rely on, to depend on… so that he would not lose his way in this twisted world. And most of all, his past as the human… Cian Cahlo…!

The human that knows what humanity and life…means…

And for some reason, Cian saw it from the being…named Sibylla Vandlehouse…

… …

As Cian was waiting for Sibylla to finish, suddenly he caught someone who was staring at him, full of complexity…

He grinned. “Ho? if it’s not Lady Sayrash, what clothing do you want to buy? As a gentleman, let me give you a piece of advice. Devilish maiden’s clothing does not suit you.” Cian said. His expression was amiable and seemed like a big brother giving advice to his little sister, gentle and soft. Sayrash, however, got angry. After the words of Cian entered her ear, they changed their meaning and she mistakenly believed that Cian was mocking her for not having a sexy taste. Damn it! Who does he think she was?!

She was none other than… Sayrash Stormblade…!

One of the most beautiful women in the Northern Border…!!

However, as she was about to retort back in anger, Cian thought for a while, then shrugged his shoulders. He stood up and started to look around, and not far away, he suddenly saw a faint dark purple clothing. This clothing was very simple with only small tulips embroidered on the shoulder areas. Compared to other multicolored clothing, this clothing appeared unique. It was also embroidered with the thread of the black skull spider only found in the Monster Mountain in the Central Region. It was a very wonderful and expensive material…

“Well, this is ain’t bad,” Under the confused expression of Sayrash, Cian walked to the front of this cloth, then picking it up, he threw it towards her and said: “Little girl, I think this dress will suit you more. Do not think of buying some colorful clothing, it would be embarrassing to see. Simple and Unique is the best for someone of your physique,” Cian let out a sigh and shrug his shoulders, muttering with a wry smile, “Unfortunately, there are no beautiful dresses like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel and etc… if not, you would surely undergo another level of transformation…enough to shame supermodels and send them packing back,”

Sayrash was startled, she wanted to say something but after looking at Cian’s faint smile and clear eyes, he doesn’t seem to be mocking her? What’s going on with this prince? A while ago he was like a tiger seeing a wolf, but now…

Just what kind of face does this person truly have…?

Louis Vuitton? Hermes? Chanel? What kind of clothes are those? I never heard about them before…

Sayrash furrowed her brows then looking at the dress Cian had selected for her, it was indeed quite good. She paused for a moment, bit her lower lip and entered another fitting room. Because of the simple designing of the clothing in comparison, it was easier to wear, so Sayrash came out early even though she had entered later than Sibylla.

Cian who had returned to his seat, saw Sayrash walking out at the dressing room and couldn’t help but admired her current appearance. His eyes were really good; this dress suits her very much. Referring to her personality and usual style, Cian choose a clean, simple, refined and pure style-kind of dress for her. The simple and clean design of this clothing displayed the heroic spirit of Sayrash even more, and the two little tulips embroidered on her shoulders, however, softened her overall temperament.

In front of the full-length mirror, Sayrash turned left and turned right, and pleasantly surprised expression appeared on her face. Surprisingly, these clothes indeed gave her a different overall impression …

She likes it…

“How is it? Don’t I have a pair of good eyes?” Cian said with a smile. Proud, causing his handsome face to beam in the light, “Fashion is not just about beautiful dresses and clothing. It must also complement the wearer’s character and personality well—If not it would make even the most beautiful dresses inferior to that of a piece of rag—haven’t you heard this saying before, ‘It’s not about wearing expensive beautiful dresses, it’s all about wearing yourself’”

“… What nonsense are you talking about? This is this lady’s natural beauty. Of course, I would look beautiful wearing anything.” Sayrash stubbornly refused to admit defeat.

“Then you should choose another one. I think my Ruka will look pretty good in this dress.” Cian said with a smile, and he suddenly saw Ruka’s somewhat flushed expression.

“No! I’ll be taking this dress.” Sayrash hugged her chest with her hands as if she feared he would snatch this clothing. Cian chuckled in amusement, causing Sayrash to suddenly feel embarrassed. This bastard… she actually fell for his play! She glared at Cian. However, compared to before, apart from hate and contempt, there was actually… curiosity. She then snorted, but her prejudices began to waver.

Cian ignored Sayrash gaze and expression and turned towards Ruka who was standing behind him. He looked all around, stand by stand, and then picking up a plain and white clothing, he turned around and handed it over to Ruka, and said: “Ruka, this is for you.”

“Your Highness?!” Ruka was pleasantly surprised, then taking the clothes; her transparent eyes became misty looking at Cian.

“Go, try it,” Cian said with a smile. “You don’t need to worry about money, just try it. As my person, if you don’t even have several casual clothes, what would you do in some certain situations…?” Cian stretched his hand and pat Ruka’s head that was now having a flushed but happy expression. Ruka raised her head and looked at Cian with shiny eyes and lightly nodding her head, she entered the fitting room.

“You are even putting your hands on your servant…it seems like you are really more of a scumbag than I had heard~” Sayrash snorted. However, surprisingly, her tone had a little bit of sourness on it.

“Well, whether I would put my hand on her or not, doesn’t really matters to you, does it, Lady Sayrash?” Cian grinned.

Sayrash snorted, “Probably… but, what I want to say is that, don’t let a servant’s hope and life be trampled by and be destroyed pitifully just because of your own little entertainment. Just like you said, they are also your people… they are living beings. You should learn how to show mercy and not treat them as just tools…”

“What?” Cian was somewhat confused. “Where are you coming from, I wonder…?”

“Don’t get me wrong, what I mean is, if you don’t like her and just treated her as a tool or a mere servant, then don’t be so nice to her, otherwise, she will love you but you will not love her back, then wouldn’t that be even more miserable? More painful than being used as a tool by you…? At least they wouldn’t have a misconception of being in heaven, when it was all actually a faux and was instead, more terrible than hell…!” Sayrash slightly lowered her head but staring at Cian, she softly said. “I don’t know about her, but she is still a woman… I just hope you are really different than rumors and know how to respect a woman…your highness…”

Cian was somewhat surprised, then he said with a smile: “So it’s like that, can it be that you have a similar experience?”

“Nope, I’m just saying that as a woman, nothing more. It was just a warning in passing. You can even treat it as a muttering of a confused soul, your highness,” Sayrash lightly snorted and said.

“You don’t need to beat yourself for this matter, after all, I may not look like it but I am an advocate of feminism. As someone who was going to become a Hero that can trample the heavens and cover the world, you should know that I am the type of person who never refuses anybody and accept all sizes, heh heh.” Cian chuckled, brushing past her and returned to his seat.

Looking at his back, Sayrash glared at him, while muttering: “Scourge, stallion, trash, scumbag!”

With the sharp ears of Cian, he was naturally able to hear the lady’s muttering without missing a word, but this moment, he was too lazy to bicker with her. At this time, Sibylla wearing a set of the pink colored dress came out on her own dressing room. She was wearing a corset-like thing, shaping her beautiful hourglass body and emphasizing her abundant bosom. Long sleeve dress embroidered with fur coats of several kinds of beasts. Most eye-catching was the fox fur hanged on her shoulders like a scarf.

Beautiful and Princess like…

“How is i—?” Sibylla was going to show off to Cian when suddenly her eyes caught Sayrash standing with a beautiful simple dress at the corner and her brows slightly furrowed. “Lady Sayrash, you’re here…”

“Yeah, hello, Lady Sibylla. I like clothes coming from this place…and it was also quite a surprise meeting Lady Sibylla and His Highness today. I’m sorry if I had spoiled the mood of your date,” Sayrash responded amiably.

“No, no, it’s fine…” Sibylla smiled warmly. As for Cian, he had already forgotten about Sayrash and was checking Sibylla’s clothes, “How is it?” Sibylla grabbed each side of the skirt and showed off to him. “It’s beautiful…isn’t it?”
