V3 Chapter 6

The forest was peaceful.

All of the birds and beasts hid within the land, their hearts frightened. They were all staring at a certain direction with respect as they felt incomparable fear.

The skies above the Black Lands welcomed a crowd of the forbidden Lands peak powerhouses. The Godstone Kingdom, one of the Holy Lands of humans, the Monster races of the Enchanted Forest, and even the Beast God City and various hidden masters around the forbidden land did not want to miss such a rare opportunity.

There was no need to mention why the young elites and powerhouses came. As long as they could come across some lucky chance, they could walk further down their destiny. In addition, the various heroic young elites of the Divine Kingdom and Holy Lands had come. They had come here mainly under the shelter of their Elders in order to see the world and open their minds.

For a time, hundreds of Beast mounts, shining gold divine carriages, and enchanted chariot dozens of feet long appeared in the skies, overflowing with divine light. This truly seemed like an auspicious sign!

Against such a big ruckus, the startled and scared magical beasts of the Black Lands didn’t dare to appear. However, these magical beasts were only the ordinary magical beasts. If the truly terrifying phenomena of the Black Lands appeared, then even these great figures would have to make way. For instance, the Black Ogres, the playful Great Monkeys, the Serpent Empress minions, or an ancient beast on the level of a dragon. Even the Saints would have to hesitate in front of the Kings and Queens that ruled this forbidden land.

Thus, even as these great figures seemed proud and haughty, they were in fact spreading their perception in all directions and never let their guard down. As long as some type of phenomenon occurred that they weren’t able to contend with, then they would be able to dodge ahead of time. Otherwise, if this strongest line-up of their respective factions suffered serious losses before they could even reach the entrance to the Ruins of Gods that would truly be a joke.

All the powerhouses were divided into five different waves. The first four waves were made up of the two Divine Kingdoms that ruled by Humans; The Godstone Kingdom and the Vermillion Kingdom, and the groups and tribes that allied with them. The other two waves were from the Monster Races who ruled the Black Lands; The Great Monkeys, the Great Lion Clan, the Serpent, and even the Ogres came. Others are following closely, displaying the powerful force of the Monster Alliance Palace.

The last wave was comprised of the hidden Tribes and Clans, such as the Barbarians with their savage and beastly appearances, Graceful Elves of different Tribes, and several more, which auras were not less inferior compared to the others. They wait in front of a large mirage of a City that seemed to be materializing as the image becomes distinct. Though, the atmosphere seemed to be quite tense, like gunpowder waiting to be lit.

So this is a Ruins of God?

Sitting at the top of a tree, Cian surveyed the image that looks like the castle of Laputa descending. Though, rather than descending, Cian felt the space around distorting—with [Night’s Eye] he was certain that the true Ruins of God is not in this plane, but on another dimension. It’s just that the space between blurred and the boundary was severed, causing two planes to get connected.

Whether it’s intentional or not, Cian didn’t know. But he certainly can’t understand the laws applying in this land…is this perhaps, the power of the Gods?

Mystifying…

After checking the mysteriousness of the Ruins of Gods, his gaze turned towards the people gather in all directions. He was quite dazzled by the line-up gathered in this place. Most of them possess a power which was not any weaker than his Big Sister Oriel, while the weakest even are at least comparable to him with only his base specs when he had yet to merge with the Ten-tailed Fox.

Even without his [Vector Body] he was still among the genius characters with his magical and martial talent. And yet, most of these people can be considered elites of the elites of the outside world.

How frightening… for this land to have such a line-up. Is this the land of warriors or something, something like where sai*ans came from? Because even the Demon Empire would have a very difficult time assembling this kind of force.

If the barrier covering the Black Lands was destroyed, surely the entire Continent would be in shambles in just an instant.

The Hierarchy and power ranking would need to be re-ordered.

And the entire world would be covered in utter chaos.

Though Cian thought of it as a horrible situation, he still can't help but feel somewhat interested in what kind of chaos would occur. He really is a twisted man.

Among the obvious factions such as humans and natives of this forest such as the Barbarians and Elves, Cian had heard before, the Monster Alliance Faction: Consisted of the Demi-humans from the Enchanted Forest and the Beastmen from the Beast God City, was the most comprehensive.

Most members are completely varied in species; bipedal monkeys, serpents, bipedal beasts such as wolves, and lions, Ogres, Trolls, demi-humans, and some were even Beastmen—classic race of humans with animal features like Harley and the others. Compared to the Bipedal beasts that look completely animal, Beastmen looked more human than them. The Monster Faction gathered together was like a hodge-podge.

The seemingly human faction naturally was monastic, most humans with an arrogant air, looking as if they were above the other species.

Additionally, there were uncountable and numerous other small to middle-sized groups such as the several groups of Elves and Barbarians, whose aura was not the least bit weak compared to the other factions despite their lower number. Therefore, the total number of people who gathered in this area, in the end, would definitely be above a hundred.

Worst is that Cian noticed that aside from Demi-humans which was abhorred and despised in the outside world, there are no Demons in this place. Whether they didn’t come or that they didn’t exist here…in any case, it was truly a troublesome problem.

He was all alone, with no clear allies in this land. Fortunately, with his merging with the Heavenly Fox, he was able to turn into a Werebeast as well, and thus, despite his lonesome existence, nobody thought notice of him. Nevertheless, he was somewhat worried.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

Most of the major races here are in the righteous faction. If these people were in the outside world instead, the Demon Empire would surely lose its supreme standing among other forces. Worst even annihilated in a large-scale war. That’s how scary the power of these people possesses.

As Cian was pondering on many things, most being grateful for the existence of the barrier that separates this land from the Vast World, at this time, a marvelous scene appeared. Elegant flashes of brilliance twisted violently in the sky a few miles away, just like countless resplendent fireworks bursting in succession.

Cian turned his attention at the sky and furrowed his brows.

Of course, this wasn’t fireworks, but the most intense region of the battle currently. There seemed to be several powerhouses fighting up there, and although the situation could not be seen clearly, he vaguely felt that some of the powers were even stronger than him, Oriel or even Ezra Redhawk which he had seen was the strongest human so far. Perhaps this is an aura of a Demi-God in Legends?

Cian had yet to feel a true Demi-God’s power so he was not certain, but this frightening aura indeed can make even him feel helpless. He was even uncertain if he can escape if he was to fight against such powerful people.

As expected, this Black Lands is like a Monster Lair where hidden dragons and crouching tigers are abundant as mushrooms in the forest. It's simply extraordinary.

Cian surveyed his surroundings. He looked towards the deep forest that appeared to stretch out endlessly in every direction. He noticed a series of steep mountains in the distance. The mountains he could see on the horizon were very big, while the valley around the gathering place was at least several tens of kilometers. Furthermore, the valley was perfectly circular.

From where he was, the valley below was green and lush, there was nothing to distinguish it from the outside jungle—though, the scenery in the valley was very beautiful. Verdant hills and limpid waters, the landscape wasn’t bad. This place should be a better place for Jekyll Village. Sadly, this is the place where monsters are highly concentrated.

Cian waited for the complete opening of the Ruins along with everyone else. It seems like everyone had a kind of tacit agreement to never start any kind of conflict in the gathering place as all the people from different races and tribes remained in their position. Though, not quietly as there were still some arguments and bouts of sharp words thrown here and there. However, no one dared to start a fight. Was it some kind of unspoken rule or law or something?

Cian was not surprised. After all, the opening of the Ruins is somewhat a sensitive phenomenon. If there is a sudden violent fluctuation of energy, who knows what kind of effect it would cause on the Ruins. It, suddenly disappearing was the least of their problems, if a problem did occur. They even cause a wide-area explosion that would destroy everything nearby into dust.

… …

At this time, in some groups gathered in every direction there were a few female women from various races who were speaking as though they were secretively discussing their private desires.

“Which faction is that youth from? He’s exceedingly handsome.”

“That one in the black clothes, when compared, doesn’t lose out to the Prince of the Godstone Kingdom. You can truly feel masculine aura compared to a delicate flower-like his highness.”

“The beauty of his highness is a beauty beyond compare, how can you compare them?”

“But look, can’t you see? His highness is like a flower that is unreachable, which we can only see but cannot touch. Unlike him, don’t you think he looks amiable…look at the way he constantly smiles…he looks so handsome!”

“Hold your horses! We came here for treasures, not for love!”

“I know that. But admiring handsome men is not a bad hobby,”

“Why are your cheeks red then? Forget about treasures, you sure are looking like a young woman desiring love. ”

“Ah, you are so annoying! I am not talking to you anymore,” teased by her companion, the young girl pouted. Her watery eyes were still locked on that youth who were quite obscured by the leaves of the tree he was in, but still can see his face and figure. Her emotions were fluttering about.

In fact, it wasn’t only them who were secretly looking and discussing. Even among the people participating in the Ruins of Gods, there was no lack of young girls who were secretly paying attention to Cian the moment they saw him, their two cheeks flaming crimson. Though sounds were suppressed very low, all of those who were sitting were all capable powerful people and their five senses were extremely clear. How could they not hear?

These young women were too young to take care and their words were heard by others. Fortunately, everyone was very polite and pretended that they didn’t hear anything, their gazes not straying.

It even reached the ears of Asceius who was leaning beside a rock with a cold and indifferent gaze. Around him, there were several people, young and old that were talking happily and full of excitement. However, although they were from a similar group, no one dared to turn towards the Ice Prince and talk to him.

This was already the usual. Everyone knows that the Ice Prince didn’t like socializing with other people. But then, suddenly Asceius caught the silent whispers of the girls and subconsciously turned towards the source of their infatuation. And instantly, his brows furrowed as he saw an extremely familiar and very annoying face.

At one glance, Asceius saw clearly that the black-clothed figure sitting at a top of the branch with leisure and carefree air that they were talking about was the laid-back and carefree fox youth he had met just a while ago. So he comes, after all… he thought and then scoffed in annoyance.

He doesn’t know why but looking at the handsome face of that fox youth, and that seemingly harmless smile despite being black-bellied, he felt annoyed and irritated.

However, at the same time, he also began to seriously observe the mysterious Fox youth. He felt more surprised as he was observing him more. He was eye-catching wherever he was due to his excessively handsome appearance. And his body seemed to be vaguely born with aloof elegant temperament. And even though he stood together with hundreds of people, he still looked aloof and still was the one who caught people’s attention!

A faint smile on his face, but his eyes showed a kind of bland disregard all in the world. His overly peaceful aura seemed like a superior being who overlooked the living beings, even though not that obvious, smart people would be able to see through clearly.

Asceius considered that the young man was definitely not ordinary, but a descendant of a certain big family. Hence, he had never believed the nonsense he had uttered before. The superiority and tolerance were sensed, which meant it was absolutely impossible for him to be nurtured by a small family. Considering his courage, not even a big family could cultivate him into such a person.

Because of this, Asceius couldn’t help being more curious about this teenager’s background.

As Cian was watching the group, amused. Suddenly, he felt the presence of someone’s gaze. When he looked over, he found a familiar beautiful face staring at him with a heated gaze. Immediately, when their gaze nearly connected, he withdrew away. Bemused, Cian looked away, not caring.

As the different faction started their own discussions and plans, at this instant, a mysterious and eerie atmosphere suddenly engulfed the entire Black Lands.

In the next second, the magnificent but blurry image of the city-like palace finally solidified in mid-air, exuding an infinite amount of heavenly light. Surrounding it was an eternal and ancient feeling.

Immediately, the wind blew, clouds converged, and all the land shook!

"This is… the Ruins of the Gods is activating!"

Cian’s spirit picked up as his eyes exploded with energy. At the same time, countless people were looking up to the sky. Staring at the mysterious Ruins, their pupils were filled with heat and flame.

The Ruins of the Gods is fraught with danger, and death, but within it, it is also full of fortune and glory. Inside will be an infinite amount of rare treasures, earth-shattering weapons, and never known before powerful abilities!

In other words, inside, was everything every people could ever want!

As long as they can get in, they will be able to get what they want!

Currently, every single people gathered in the gathering place has gone insane. Flying into the sky speedily, they aimed directly at the Ruins of the Gods the moment it materializes.

It was not hard to predict that a bloody storm was about to strike.
