V2 Chapter 35

“An afterimage?!” Once their attacks missed, the first leader; the hunched old man and the others’ faces changed. Not Good!!

Swish! However, as their faces were changing, Cian’s figure had already appeared in front of one of them as if he was a ghost. A shadow flickered from his hand and a cold blade immediately thrust forward without any warning. Then, like a shining divine dagger, it tore through the air and charged towards the old man’s throat. After seeing how sharp Cian’s black blade was, the old man’s eyes also changed. He ferociously changed his hand from a fist to a palm and dense magical power surged out: “Blood Palm!” The palmed gleamed coldly and the skin was coated by red blood color. It looks like a red steel, forming into a sharp claw.

The old man’s strength wasn’t weak; he also had plenty of experience. Although Cian’s speed was beyond his expectations, he did not panic and immediately counterattacked as he waited for the other two companions’ support.

Swish! But when the dense palm attack was about to collide with Cian’s attack, the latter’s eyes flashed as the blade shined brightly and a black Bladelight spread into the area, blinding the old man. "Boom!" A terrifying Bladelight and the old man’s blood coated hand severely collided in the air which filled the entire place with starlight. “Aaaaahhh!!” At this moment, the old man suddenly screamed while holding his hand. A big deep wound had been cut open on his hand, and his blood had started to pour out, that looked like a spring of blood.

"...This is why they said 'don't catch a blade's tip with your bare hand,' stupid~" Cian snickered coldly. On the other hand, the hunched old man's expression darkened heavily. He had let his guard down for only an instant, but he had still been injured by Cian’s attack. Immediately, with a sinister look on his face, his eyes stared firmly at the black coated masked youth in front of him. However, he could clearly feel that although there was a strange strong power coming from the blade, he was still able to stop it with his dense magic power. However, suddenly, when he thought he could block it completely, for some unknown reason he couldn't understand, the blood within his hands seemed to have convulsed and burst out, disturbing his magic power and thus, the black blade managed to cut his hand successfully, injuring him.

But is that even possible...?

Just what had happened in that moment of collision…?

The old man couldn’t understand nor anyone could if they are in his shoes. All that happened was just too fast a naked eye couldn't follow!

Feeling danger, the hunched back old man hurriedly turned his body to make a distance. "Smart choice, too bad your opponent is me~" However, he was somewhat horrified to see a gust of wind erupted from behind him. In the end, the black blade landed on his shoulder fiercely. Puchi. The dazzling dagger was like a sharp sword. It directly pierced through the old man’s shoulders and fresh blood sprayed out in all directions, causing the man to let out a scream as he flew backward.

"Pfff——" the other people witnessed with their own eyes how the first leader was stepped on and puked blood out, but before they could return to their senses, the black-clothed masked youth followed with another attack - he used his palm and slapped the old man’s right shoulder—although it looked weak compared to the toughness of a demon’s body, a boom! occurred and the old man’s shoulder burst open, fresh blood spurted like a fountain, followed by an agonizing scream!

"Ah——" The old man took over ten steps backward. His body slammed onto the table behind him hard and the earthen jars and barrels full of wine came crashing all over the floor. His left arm was broken into a terrible mess, hanging limply as if it was already dead. Guah—!! The old man coughed up blood one after another, his aged face extremely pale.

“Father!!” A frantic voice rang out. However, before the old man could react, the masked youth was like a demon demanding his life. He kicked the old man's abdomen causing the latter to kneeled on the floor, then slapped the back of his head, burrowing his face on the ground. The masked youth snorted as he trampled on the old man’s back again.

“Stupid fools!” The masked youth’s figure blurred after his words ended. Then, swords and sharp claws appeared in his former position, cutting the air.

“Wha—?!!”

“Not possible!!”

“Does he have an eye on his back!?”

The Goblin-faced Imp and a beautiful woman along with several people stared aghast at the scene before them. “Oh really, too bad I might not have eyes at the back of my head but your killing intent is just too strong even if you all conceal your auras…!” A cold voice appeared behind them, giving all the people chills. The voice seemed to have come from the bottom part of Hell.

“Why you—!!” They turned around in instant and unleashed fierce attacks towards the black figure from both sides. But against all of them teaming up, Cian seemed to have become a ghost; his figure evaded all of their attacks as he retreated like a phantom. He directly avoided the fierce attacks from all of them without any problem.

“Dieee you MONSTERRRR!!!” Once the Imp noticed Cian’s phantom-like movements, a hint of coldness flashed through his eyes and his attacks become even fiercer.

However, “I said… it’s useless,” When the Goblin-faced Imp and the other had apparently cornered the black-clothed masked man and pierced him in every direction, causing their faces to beam with excitement—however, another cold voice appeared just behind them. Their bodies trembled in shock and disbelief, but before they could understand what was going on, Slash!! Slash! Three of the people who had attacked were split into half from their waists while the Goblin-faced Imp had his right arm holding some kind of blood colored spear severed till its base. On the other hand, the beautiful woman, since Cian felt like it would be quite a waste for her to die here or be damaged, he held back and punched her abdomen.

“Aaaaahhh!!” “Uuugh?!” Screams and cries echoed in the entire building as almost all of the people were lying on the ground, weeping and crying in pain and despair.

“Father!!!” Gobing held his chest in agony; he knew very well how brutally the black-clothed youth fought and the hunched old man was already clobbered until he was almost painted in blood and torn flesh. If he got another kick, he would be dead for sure!

However, the hunched old man, despite his wounds and injuries, still struggled to stand up. With a desperate cry, he shot towards Cian’s direction. Vortexes of blood appeared around him and several large hands, spears, and swords materialize from these blood vortexes. Following his sudden attack, a nauseating bloody scent surged out in all directions and some incomparably sharp screeches were vaguely emitted...

"Father?! Noooo——" Gobing’s eyes widened in horror and he rushed over, suppressing the pain he was experiencing. Cian’s eyes were locked in the old man’s direction. However, he didn't even glance at him and sent Gobing flying with just a kick. Gobing could only lay on the floor and felt like he was about to die...

“You Monsterrr!! Dieeee!!!” Gritting his teeth and suppressing the pain assaulting his body, the old hunched back man rushed towards Cian along with the blood weapons around him. They shot towards Cian but just like before, Cian’s body flickered. Boom! A loud explosion rang out.

Cian and the hunched back old man’s attacks clashed head on! A shock wave exploded outwards, flattening everything, knocking down the ‘corpses’ and people lying on the floor, and breaking glass windows and furniture. Even in the midst of this mess, however, each's eyes were only on their opponent.

The result for this round was clear.

The hunched back old man, who had taken the attack head-on, was blown backward and smashed into the wall, with a loud crash. But Cian merely felt displeasure, since the other side seemed to have avoided a head-on confrontation and was able to save his life…albeit, only for the moment. As expected of a veteran warrior, whether it's his instinct, intuition or fighting experience, it was far above any other enemy Cian had met. If not for his Vector Body, Cian surmised that he would be defeated no matter how skillful and experienced he is!

Strength, Speed, Agility, Reflexes, Magic Power, and Battle Endurance, the hunched back old man is far stronger than him in all aspects. He even felt the blood rising in his throat due to the force emitted by the old man!

"Tsk!" I can block all his attack but for some reason, not all...! What is this power that ignored defenses?

Interesting...! Cian grinned under his mask. As Cian was about to attack and finished this farce immediately, a thousand-foot-large bloody glow erupted. It agglomerated into a blood dragon that emitted a roar as it ruthlessly charged toward Cian with a shocking momentum.

"...?!"

Boooom!! The blood dragon that had whistled over ruthlessly collided with Cian’s body. As it ruthlessly collided with Cian, a rich blood-colored light exploded in the sky…

Watching the spreading blood light, which bloomed in the sky like a blood-colored sun, the expressions of Gobing and the other still surviving people within the hall changed into shock. They had not expected Cian to endure this blow. The frightening energy contained within the blood dragon earlier was enough to kill ordinary Marquis ranked Demons on the spot!

This Blood Art is the reason why the Bloodhole Gang has managed to become a top-tier Faction within the Northern Border and yet—

"... ..." Complete silence.

The hall had descended into a dead silence.

... ...

Amidst the destroyed and devastated building that seemed to have been passed by a hurricane, sounds of breaking can only be heard, feeling eerie and creepy.

Gobing and the others groaned and tried their best to get up. At the entire Tavern, some fled and hid while the others stood at the same spot, frightened and stunned as they watch this black clothed masked youth overturn the place all by himself...

Those men from the Bloodhole Gang were almost covered in blood, especially those who looked more formidable...

At this moment, there was suddenly a pair of footsteps coming from the clouds of dust and smoke.

“…I guess I should say, as expected of a top faction leader. You are completely different from these pushovers…”

“Says a monster like you…!” *cough cough...* the old man coughed furiously and stared at the masked youth towering above him and slowly made his way towards him. His face turned extremely ugly.

This... what exactly is going on here?

Just who is this man…?!

That darn bastard’s son!!! To provoke a disaster like this…if I see him in Hell, I would surely strangle him to death!

The hunched back old man gritted his teeth in fury. Although he was angry and full of hatred towards the monster before them, in his mind the second leader’s good-for-nothing son was also the same!

“…do you think Bloodhole Gang would succumb to you even if you are powerful?! We will choose death rather than humiliation!!”

“You don’t have to worry about that, I already know.”

The hunched back old man snorted and his eyes suddenly gleamed ominously.

A terrifying demonic pressure suddenly descended on the place, causing even Cian to frown as he felt his skin tingling as if gravity became heavier. But it was not that simple, as Cian could reverse the vectors of anything that touched him, including gravity...and so, such a phenomenon is impossible.

However, he was actually affected by this….? Then, Cian realized something… it’s not physical but more like, it was a spiritual pressure—as if you are watching a horror movie, although you know that it was just a fiction, a movie but when a ghost pop out, you will still feel scared and terrified, causing you to jump in your seat—this is the same. Goosebump.

Cian frowned but his lips curled upwards. For him to feel somewhat apprehensive… this guy is for real…!

“Hah… hahaha…” the hunched back old man suddenly let out an eerie laugh. He raised his head and gloomily stared towards Cian. The chill in his eyes all but solidified as he growled in a low voice, “No one has ever dared do this to me and my Clan! Little brat, you have some courage!” As he spoke, an ominous crimson glow appeared around his body, and this time, this demonic light seemed to form a tattooed pattern upon his skin.

“Oh no, the leader can’t suppress the Demonic power within him, that guy is finished!”

“It’s too late for him! What the hell is that little brat? How could he have forced the leader into using this technique?”

The surrounding group of people’s foreheads all began to fill with sweat, but unfortunately, there was nothing they could do. They could only hope that their leader would quickly defeat Cian as soon as possible so he could then disperse the Demonic power within him. Blood Tyrant! It was a powerful ability burns the blood of the user in exchange for a very strong power. And now, the leader had just invoked this life-consuming skill…

No one had ever lived to tell the tale after fighting the leader on this state.

Upon activating the Demonic power within him and invoke Blood Tyrant, the Bloodhole Gang’s leader gained a significant boost in strength, and his eyes revealed a look of madness and malice. Then, he was suddenly enveloped by some kind of a cocoon. No, they were wings! Six wings like that of an angel’s slowly spread behind him. But it was not a feathery wing like that of an angel but bat-like wings dyed in red—looking at it closely, one could see that it was made up of blood.

Cian furrowed his brow. So he was not a hunched back? he wondered as he saw the hunched back disappeared which was replaced by three pairs of bat-like wings made up of blood and his back had now been straightened and he seemed to be even taller and younger. Even the complexion of his face was pale and with a slightly chiseled, middle-aged contour.

Did he just become younger…? Cian was quite surprised. Is this what the call literally coming out of cocoon to become a butterfly?

... ...

Boom! Baaaang!! Within the Okmahun Demon City, an amazing Magical Energy exploded into the sky in a pillar of light. Fierce winds suddenly started blowing and everyone in the city felt several powerful auras that seemed to have caused the world to tremble.

“What…?!”

“What is happening…?!”

Numerous shocked gazes stared at the source of the magic fluctuation that had just occurred. They had never seen such a powerful fluctuation of demonic power in their lives. The extent of the demonic power wasn’t something that an ordinary Marquis ranked warrior could compare with.

When did a powerhouse of this level appear in the Okmahun Demon City?

“No… this aura…?!”

“It’s the darn old man!!”

However, there were also several who had immediately recognized the owner of the aura. Among them were the leaders of the two largest Gang in the Northern Border; the infamous Black Ogre; Caramite of the Eastern Tyrants and the Crimson Temptress Gregory of the Thousand Illusion Clan. They look at the direction where the Bloodhole Gang’s tavern, the head base of the Bloodhole Gang was located, in surprise.

“Who dares to tug the whiskers of that undying old colt?! And to even cause him to this degree…who had the capability to do such a thing?!” The Thousand Illusion Clan’s current Master, the Crimson Temptress Gregory wondered. “Was it possible that the muscle head of the stupid dead brain ogres got impatient and attack? If that really happened then… it would be best if they killed each other…” she muttered in hatred. “However, that muscle brain should not be this reckless…well, either way; I need to find out what is really happening…!”

The Crimson Temptress muttered to herself before her body suddenly floated and disappeared on her room.

Unbeknownst to her, the one she thought was the culprit; the Black Ogre, also shared the same thoughts as her, with her as the protagonist and was also hurrying towards the location.

Aside from them, all of those who know the truth about the Bloodhole Gang’s leader, especially the Demon Nobles was also startled by the sudden commotion. Even Princess Oriel who immediately runs towards Cian’s room was panicking. Not because of fear but because, when she went out to check up on her beloved brother but was startled to find out that she only saw Ruka there and not Cian. She almost kicked Ruka due to anger, fortunately, Ruka knows that she cannot be beaten up by anyone other than her master and immediately avoid it, much to Princess Oriel’s rage.

Princess Oriel wanted to kill Ruka but the latter threatened(?) her that if something happened to her, Cian’s anger would surely spike up, which caused Princess Oriel ‘s rage to somehow calm down. Of course, Ruka didn’t specifically threatened her and just told her about Cian’s order given to her, that other than him, no one should hurt her, even if it’s the Demon Empress or the Princess Oriel, much to Princess Oriel’s chagrin.

“Master wanted to stroll around the night market alone and have fun… as for his safety, master wanted to reassure Her Highness that he would be okay no matter what happens as he was given several protective magical items by Her Majesty…” —is what Ruka told her.

Although Princess Oriel was somewhat dissatisfied but her worry somewhat elevated. These Magical Items given to him by their mother would surely protect his life, that she believed and have full trust. She knows how important her little brother was to the Demon Empress. The Magical Items must be one of the best there is…

However, this is this and that is that—Princess Oriel still ordered her subordinates to find Cian as soon as possible and bring him back. Not until she saw with her own eyes that Cian was safe and sound would her worries disappear. As for Ruka, Princess Oriel’s hatred towards her increased significantly. If not for the fact that she was loyal to Cian as well as Cian’s fondness of her, she would have dragged her into the execution ground and behead her without hesitation.

To her killing intent, Ruka remained calm and indifferent. Even if the Princess wanted to kill her, she would still be safe as her master would never allow anything bad to happen to her!

Touch me if you dare... she expressed silently. She then look at the direction of the commotion, praying of her master's safety.
