V2 Chapter 76

Cian turned quiet.

He leaned on the edge of the pool, looking at the foggy sky.

At this moment, his figure must have appeared slightly dejected.

“…w, well, what about the information we wanted…? Have you had it already…?” Grea sigh and tried to change the topic. She suddenly felt gloomy inside for some strange reason.

“… …” Unknowingly to her, the corner of Cian’s lips curled upwards. Feeling delighted about the confusion he was causing to her.

“Sesto!”

After Cian’s call, a black-clothed figure emerged from the thick fog. It was different from a while ago, as this was one was obviously taller, bypassing two meters and had a huge build. If one didn’t look at the massive bulges on the chest part, one would surely think he was a man even with her appearance hidden by a black mask. Furthermore, if one looks at the large pair of horns at each side of her head, then they would surely immediately understand why such a woman have such bulky physique—the rare Labyrinth Dwellers; the Minotaurian Race!

However, even though she has such an obviously noticeable figure, her presence was so thin it’s as if she was just an illusion and didn’t exist.

Grea’s eyes widened in surprise. Even though the black-clothed figure was walking towards her, she can’t hear any sound like footsteps and she can’t even feel the person’s presence. Though, if she used all her power to enhance her senses, she would then be able to at least feel something. Still… what kind of person is this?

The black-clothed figure stood in front of Grea, appearing like a tall mountain, then handed her a thin book, before turning around and started walking towards her master's direction. She had never said out a single word. Grea could only stare at the black-clothed figure with doubt—two years of cooperation with Blood and yet, why has she not seen this person before…?

“Master,” A rough yet feminine voice rang out after the black-clothed figure stop. “…[The Knight] had finally made contact.”

“Ho? Did she…?” A somewhat surprised voice came out from Cian. Then, his lips curled upwards; Finally… “I know, compiled all the information I wanted and give it to me as soon as possible.”

“As you wish, my master,” With a swoosh and wind of fragrance, the black-clothed figure disappeared completely!

With Grea’s power level, she was actually unable to see how this person disappeared!?

This, isn’t this speed too fast?

How did she do it?

It was neither through teleportation or invisibility…

How did she even leave?

"Sssss…." Grea, watching this scene couldn’t help but draw in a breath of cold air. The person just now seemed to possessed abilities almost equivalent or probably even surpassing herself, and from her movement techniques, she should be a very deadly assassin! An Assassin Minotaurian? Even in dreams, no one would associate them as nimble and sneaky assassins. But with that high-level stealth ability, if she was not an assassin then, what is she?

Furthermore, this person had never been heard of or seen before. Since when did Blood have such an outstanding subordinate?!

Is this the true power of the Cahlo Clan…?

Although she was a spell caster and not a martial type, still her senses are still among the greatest in her level. And yet, she actually couldn’t follow that person’s movement?!

Could this be the hidden strength of Blood himself? How many more such people did the Cahlo Clan actually have?

Grea was very clear that there were several other outstanding people who had accompanied him when he was doing a collaboration mission with her. And although she had seen and met them, she still couldn’t see their true appearance yet. No matter what she did, she couldn’t uncover their identities.

And even those that had died during missions, they would vanish the next moment or other people of the Cahlo Clan would carry them, and not leave them behind.

She never dared to ask or try to uncover them in fear of souring their relationship—well, the members she met are all cold and aloof, unlike Cian who would speak to her.

What kind of Clan is the Cahlo Clan actually is...?

… …

'huhuhu~~~'

Goose feather-like large snowflakes were falling.

In front of the Palace Wall stood a young man in black garments, looking at the flakes dancing through the sky.

In the human world, he would be a bit taller than most boys his age, however, in the Demon World, he was a bit shorter than most. His face was also above average some might even say he was a pretty boy. His body type wasn't too skinny, nor was it too muscular or fat.

He had an ashy grey hair that swayed in the breeze as if invisible fairies are playing with it and seemingly turning into snow white color due to the falling snow and thick white background of the mountain. However, purple strands at his sideburns give his over-all appearance some kind of unique ambiance and charm. Complementing it was the strange heterochromatic eyes that were as bright as starlight, clear like that of an infant.

Handsome face and indifferent and almost cold demeanor. Unlike from the one face he had when arrived in this world, at this moment, the young man’s feminine face that once looks like that of a pretty girl has now been greatly sharpened by the passing of time. After two years of staying in this world, his facial features seemed as if they were meticulously carved by a knife. Years of training had given him the dreadful presence of a cold bloody expert.

"Aanuel!"

A warmly dressed young woman shouted from far away.

"Sister." The young man turned towards her and grinned. His cold eyes immediately become warm and soft as if he had seen the most precious treasure in the world. His former expression seemed to be just an illusion.

Cian jumped down from a height of six meters to the snow-covered ground below. With the passing years, his beloved sister seemed to have grown even more beautiful and even her temperament had undergone a drastic change compared to the time he had first seen her—though, that first impression was quite destructive even for someone like Cian Cahlo who had lived in two different worlds. A closet pervert bro-con who likes peeping on her little brother’s conquest, Cian Cahlo mused inwardly.

Oriel stops and stared at Cian who was walking towards her.

Her lips curled into a radiant smile after looking at him.

She realized that his eyes appeared to be shining. As if his smile could enter her heart.

“Come inside, it’s too cold here.” She muttered as she extended her hand toward him. At this moment, a black fur coat appeared on her hand. Cian Cahlo looks at his body and suddenly realized he was indeed not wearing any thick clothing and only just simple garments. Well, with his current body that had been strengthened after two years of training, this kind of cold was nothing to him anymore. Besides, the mastery of his [Vector Body] has now reached new heights after two years of brutal training, and even a bit of cold would not reach his body. Even if he was not doing it consciously.

At this moment, whether it was his [Night’s Eye] or [Vector Body], all of them had become like a limb to him, he can control them subconsciously.

Cian chuckled and took the offered black fur coat, donning it on his body. Although he was not bothered by the cold of the Winter Mountain, right at this moment, Cian felt extremely warm the moment he wore the coat. This is what Family is all about—though, the relationship between him and Oriel couldn’t be certainly called as just normal Family, but it doesn’t matter. They are much closer than what a family they should have been!

“Just what are you doing here in the cold? You must be freezing, you great fool.” Oriel scolded gently.

“I think I’ve gone numb by now.”

“Here,” Oriel stooped, the handed him a long, fringed shawl. “Put this on as well.”

Under other circumstances, Cian might have balked at donning a shawl after a thick coat since it would not really matter with his abilities. It was just futile. But Cian felt warmth in Oriel’s care and didn’t refuse. He wrapped it around his chest but it kept sliding down.

“Here let me.” She stepped forward and draped the thing over his shoulders, then tied it loosely in front. “That’s better.”

“Thanks,” Cian said gratefully before placing a faint kiss on her close forehead.

“Anytime,” Oriel smiled sweetly.

“Anyway, how’s your trip?” he asked.

“It’s not bad,” Oriel replied. “It’s not as desperate as I thought it would be.” She grinned.

She had left a few months ago, receiving a report of the war escalating all of a sudden.

“The only thing worthy of concern was the existence of the Heroes,”

“Did you meet them?” Cian frowned.

“I met several” Oriel nodded. “Including those that should have died in the war from before,” Saying this, Oriel’s face was overcast by a dark shadow. “Mystical Gods, I really couldn’t understand how they were able to revive after they have fallen… It’s not logical…!”

“… …”

“It seems like the rumors are true. The Gods are joining the war…” Oriel’s gaze darkens. Although they were holding the upper hand at this moment, who knows when it would last. The existences of the Heroes are tipping the balance off in this world.

The Unkillable Heroes!

If not for the fact that they seemed to have gone weaker the moment they appeared again after being killed, the Demon World would have been invaded long ago.

“It seems like these Heroes are quite powerful,” Cian chided.

“Well, just so-so,” Oriel shook her head. “I guess you can say they are just a bit more powerful than average humans. Although they are unkillable, they can still be defeated, or sealed…”

Cian’s body twitched. “The Demon Pagoda?”

Oriel’s eyes widened. “You know it, Aanuel?!”

The Demon Pagoda, or commonly known as Sealing Pagoda Prison. It was a mystical artifact that can be expanded into a large building where worst criminals or enemies would be imprisoned within and would never be able to escape from it, even in death!

However, only a few amounts of people are aware of its existence due to it being one of the most precious treasures of the Demon World. It was only used for a troublesome opponent in some certain times. It has very strict requirements to use.

And it seems like the Heroes are really troublesome for the Demon World that they were forced to use such a precious item…!

“I heard stories,” Cian shrugged.

“Well, since you are a prince, I guess you would have known about it, sooner or later,”

“Are there Heroes already that were imprisoned within the Demon Pagoda?” Cian’s expression was a bit complicated.

He didn’t know what to think or feel but it was short-lived and it disappeared after a moment before anyone could notice it.
