V2 Chapter 5
“… …” Cian stared at her, then his eyes rolled over as he let out a sigh. “Mad World isn’t a suitable song for this moment, nor am I willing to sing it to you…”
“… So that was called Mad World…?” Seeing that Cian seemed to have finally given in, Sibylla’s tone went much higher and her smile was as wide as a Cheshire grin—her heart seemed to be flying in nine heavens and she was even biting her lips more often than usual. It was clearly obvious she was so excited and so happy she couldn’t contain it, even the legs that were supporting Cian was fidgeting, it’s becoming irritating to the one was resting his head on it.
But Cian wasn’t that of a cold-blooded person to destroy her little happiness and so, he raised his both hands and put them behind his head, wanting to stop that was grinding at the back of his head. He smiled and then shrugged, “Hmm~♪~~♫~♪…” Cian started humming a very familiar tone.
She heard it, Sibylla immediately bit her lips, her face flushed and eyes sparkling… she took in the silence and listened…
“My love~♪” And then his voice came out of his throat.
With just those words as the starting line, using Cian’s gentle yet ethereal and soulful voice, Sibylla’s heart shivered. That tone, that voice, surely it would instantly capture the hearts of anyone listening on it, making him the center of attention. An Angel’s voice—no, in this case, a Demonic voice that captured the souls of those who heard it…!
“There's only you in my life
The only thing that's right…”
“My first love…
You're every breath that I take
You're every step I make…”
Cian’s magnetic voice echoed in the entire area, and with the background of the falling Orakai flowers, the moment shared between the two becomes extremely moving. Like a scene cut out from a classic romance movie, seeing them so harmonious and loving can give others a feeling that they are made by the heavens—such scene totally out of place within the land of the Demons—with these two as the center amidst of the falling rain of sky blue and purple flower petals, it makes the entire a heaven-like place.
Stunned by Cian’s skill in singing—she felt she was listening to a Nightingale, his voice low yet extremely modulated, clear and soft singing voice—Sibylla was completely moved by the emotion in Cian’s voice.
“…And I… I want to share
All my love, with you…No one else will do
And your eyes, they tell me ho~w much you~ care~
Oh, yes~~
…You'll always be…
My endless love—”
Hmm~ hmmm~ Regardless of his image or voice, for some reason, he could bring her, or anyone listening to him, a very strong sense of love, tenderness, and devotion. Feeling enthralled and moved, it seems as if she had been struck silly, time felt flowing so slowly that even the falling petals seemed to be dancing in the air like little fairies—she, then realized, oh what an oversight—this moment, what blissful memories they would be after this…!
“…Two hearts, two hearts that beat as one
Our lives have just begun~
…Forever, I'll hold you close in m~y arms…I can't resist your charms,”
What Cian was singing was
At the same time, he sounded like he wasn't singing, but instead of telling his heart, expressing his emotions, his love, his affection and his devotion to a lucky woman. All aspects were vividly interpreted, and the song that flowed out was soothing and unhurried.
Sibylla felt her lips trembled, her heart squeezed tightly but she knows that it was not out of sorrow or sadness. This song—‘Please listen to it, please listen to my heart…’ she seemed to be hearing Cian saying this to her—though probably it was a misconception on her side. However, she can’t help but feel, ‘This song…is this song for me…? Is this song created…for me…?’
Cian singing while lying on her lap. Thus, she couldn’t move, sitting still—no, probably she had already forgotten about it as she focused all her attention on the song. She felt as if Cian was telling her his feelings through the song and she needed to listen to it and can’t let any note be overlooked.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“…Love…I~~ll be a fool, for you… I'm sure…You know I don't mind…
Cause you—you mean the world~ to me
You know I've fo~und in you…
…My endless lo~ve,”
That was the last lyrics, unaware or probably ignoring Sibylla’s rattled heart, Cian ended the song by a humming sound “Bam, bam…” Just like Lionel Richie did in the Solo Demo “—bambambambam, bambabam, bambambam, bam bam bam…
~Bam bam, bambambambam, babababam…”
Drop! Tap! Drop! Sparkling jewels of happiness could be seen filling up those dreamy eyes of hers as Sibylla’s lips trembled. Her chest heaved up and down in emotion as she lowered her head down to stare at Cian with undisguised joy and love. At this moment, she had already forgotten the concept of bashfulness and the reservedness a lady should show!
She had forgotten everything, even Cian’s current status or the infamy he had—all she knows right now was that her heart was like a pigeon, struck by the arrow of the infamous cupid who doesn’t care about situation or circumstances and would have always pull her bow and pierced those unaware hearts before her. She couldn’t understand anymore, nor does she felt anything matters now. What was in front of her, who the man before her—that was all she had that matters.
When Cian finished singing, Sibylla was still trapped in the world of her own. Looking up, Sibylla’s eyes were still quite moist as tears fell down drop by drop, falling onto Cian’s hair and face. “You might be wondering why is it you… you might be thinking I chose you because I want something from you—I wouldn’t deny that since it was the truth. However, it’s not all just that…
His voice seemed to be filled with some sort of magnetism as he spoke, his gaze tender as he stared at her. Stretching out his right hand, he carefully wiped away the sparkling beads on her face before cupping her face as he continued, “I choose you. And I’ll choose you over and over again. I may not feel anything special for you right now, the kind that you wanted me to feel, I admit.”
“…However, I am someone that would never want to regret after I acted like a fool—I don’t want to lose you, that much is true.”
“… …”
“..please wait for me, I’m sure that given time, my heart would beat for you and that moment is sure to come not far in the future—after all, only with you would I find myself calm, because no one makes me become who I wanted to be, like you do when we are together…”
As though she had awoken from a dream, Sibylla’s body jolted, and fresh tears from her face dripped into her Cian’s face as she whimpered, "Re, really… uuu… you, you will love me…? You, you’re going to care for me? I’m not one to care for status or wealth. I don’t have any ambition, a boring, dull person who could be satisfied to have a simple life. I’m not skillful in fights either, nor am I extremely intelligent. The only thing that I could be of help to you is my status—but even that, I doubt they can help you that much. In fact, I might even drag you down…”
“Drag me down…?” Why do women always think similarly? Cian had on calm expression as he replied, “Don’t overestimate yourself…”
“Eh?”
“I never relied on anyone other than myself on dealing my problems. That same goes to you, I don’t care whether you just stay and do nothing, because when the heavens fall on you, I will still be able to catch it and support it for you. You don’t need to do anything…stay by my side and be the tree that I would use to rest my wings—that would the best thing that I could ask for.” Cian smiled warmly as he strokes Sibylla and gently wipes the tears from her face, “…even for someone like me, there are times when I don’t feel like flying anymore and seek for a place to rest my wings on—being that tree, I would be happier if you do so…”
“… …” Sibylla opened her mouth but wasn’t sure how she should reply. She could only bite her lips and continued crying, she smiled: “If you make me wait for long… I would run away you know.” She said with a wry smile. At this moment, she finally confirmed something. Indeed, love is blind, but the cupid is even blinder. She actually shot her with an arrow so deep one can see a crevice on it from the heavens.
And to make matter worst, she just has to partner with the man who could be considered the last gentleman in the world—bastard…!
...and for her to even fall for someone like him, does she really have such fragile heart to fall for someone so easily? A supernatural must be at work…
Sibylla smiled wryly beneath her tears—you are an asshole of a fiancé, you know that… hardly one for a naive woman like me to handle…
But I guess, even if you hand me the dagger to pierce into my heart, I would do it without hesitation—after all, I was always been a fool just like you said—Sibylla bit her lips and showed a threw aside all pretense as she leans down, and deliver her lips into Cian’s—
“…my tree is not dependable and can be destroyed easily by storm… but if you really want to land and rest, then I would do anything to endure even the worst storm that you like so much, hits me…”
However, thinking but to it, Second Prince Aanuel’s words made her so happy, her overflowing tears didn’t hesitate to fall. This might be just a lie, empty words to control a foolish woman like her but even at that time,
I felt no greater happiness than drowning in his deep and great love that echoed through his words and gaze—she felt it was real, that fantasy was a reality—and so I fell in love…
Cian stared at Sibylla’s gentle eyes and his lips curled upwards. “…then, you better do your best. I’m difficult to handle…”
“…please go easy on me…” Sibylla muttered happily as once again, she leans down her head and placed a kiss on him.
Farther away from them, a figure was standing. The figure clutched on her chest as she gazes upon the two lovebirds, in a daze. But the figure didn’t dare make a sound, not wanting to break the breathtaking sight before her, which was a rare moment in this world. She was mesmerized by the scene of the harmonious couple amidst the ethereal shower of pink upon the earth.
Entranced by the aerial waltz, the figure stood still and quietly, not wanting to disturb the once in a lifetime performance that the heavens seemed to have graced her master. And yet, a pang of pain she had never felt before assaulted her—a pain that surpassed those pain she had suffered for an entire lifetime—a pain that no matter how she resilient she, could never endure even if it was just a passing moment.
Drop! Water drops started falling onto the ground—but she already knows this outcome…she thought she can accept it and be able to bear it—even still, seeing it before her was an undeniably cruel torture…
… “I had loved him long before you…” The figure muttered as she inhaled a deep breath, raising her head, she stared at the sky, with pain yet full of hatred—“Heavens are really unfair…”
The master who fills my heart…
The master who I was eagerly looking forward to meeting is…
“…Even still, I’m better than you—than all of you, because, Master relies on me! Whatever he wanted to do, he always calls upon me first…and that’s the greatest pride I had…” The figure sighed and faintly smiled, turning around, and started walking away. If he was happy, she wouldn’t impose. As long as she could be by his side, that would be fine. I’m already satisfied.
Her expression determined and full of fighting spirit—I might not be able to stand equal, but as long as I can be with him and be of use to him—my life is full of happiness…!
