Episode 71 Martial arts dojo
While Kurumi and I are talking, the rumored C-class adventurer comes.
"Thank you for your time today."
Kurumi speaks words of gratitude.
"I don't mind. It will also be an advertisement for our Battalion."
It costs money to operate a Battalion, but it will be a big profit if you get a sponsor.
Ishibashi is a tough-looking man with a strong physique.
Ishibashi turns his gaze to me.
"He is?"
"He's Grimm-sensei, a Life Wizard. He's a newcomer to look forward to."
"Nn, did you say he's a Life Wizard? So, he's a newcomer?"
"He became an F-class adventurer in November of last year, and an E-class adventurer in April of this year."
Ishibashi looks at me as if he is judging me.
"To take half a year to get promoted to E-class, which would normally take a year at the earliest. I see, he may be a talent, but it's Life Magic."
Ishibashi also seems to have a low opinion of Life Magic. It can't be helped because the general evaluation is such, but it's frustrating. After he left, Kurumi apologizes.
"I'm sorry. I don't think he means anything by that."
"In the meantime, I will show people that Life Wizards are amazing. By the way, are you familiar with combat arts or martial arts?"(TN:Kakutougi and bujutsu)
"Yeah, I interviewed a lot, so maybe I know a little about it."

"I'm thinking of learning some body techniques, do you have any recommendations?"(TN:Taijutsu)
"I see. If it's famous, I guess it's Yumedan-ryuu combat arts and Hoshiinen-ryuu swordsmanship, I guess."(TN:Kakutoujutsu and kenjutsu. Ryuu can mean style or school.)
They were prestigious families that even I, who lacks knowledge about that sort of thing, have heard of. I heard that Takase, the A-class adventurer who discovered a rhodium deposit, also learned Yumedan-ryuu combat arts.
The other, Hoshiinen-ryuu swordsmanship is a rough swordsmanship that includes kicks, body hits, and elbow strikes. The idea of winning at any cost seems to be popular among rational thinking adventurers.
"Both are prestigious. Where are their dojos?"
When I hear their locations, I hesitate a little. They are far away.
"Is there a school with a dojo nearby?"
"Nearby ... I see. There's Nankuru-ryuu Karate, but I don't think I'd recommend it."
"Why is that? Is it weak?"
"No, it's strong like a demon, but the teacher is bad at teaching."
I smile wryly. Isn't it fatal to be bad at teaching? If the person themselves is strong, it would be better for them to change their job to an adventurer. When I say that, Kurumi also laughs and agrees.
But, when I hear from Kurumi, Nankuru-ryuu Karate seems to be an excellent martial art. It seems to be a martial art style created by the founder who studied traditional Okinawan Karate, incorporating boxing techniques.
It's an interesting martial art, but what kind of teaching method does that instructor use? I'll meet them once. I ask Kurumi for the address and decide to meet them tomorrow.
"Speaking of which, where are you attacking now?"
In response to Kurumi's question, I answer that I am hunting OrcKnights on the 12th floor of the Suigetsu Dungeon.
"OrcKnight hunting, is it. I heard it's dangerous if you go solo."
"I know how to defeat OrcKnights, so if I have five or six, I should be fine by myself."
Kurumi looks surprised.
"Isn't that comparable to a veteran D-class adventurer?"
I tilt my head. Is that right? I think I have too little experience.
"I still have a long way to go."
"Is that so. By any chance, are you aiming for the Orc Castle treasury?"
"I think it would be amazing if I could find that, but I've heard that few people have succeeded."
I really thought I would find it, but to be honest, people would think I was making a big deal out of it.
Kurumi smiles.
"Aren't you really thinking that you'll definitely find it?"
As expected of a weekly magazine reporter. Sharp. I shrug my shoulders.
"I hope Lady Luck smiles on me. I'll just say that."
I thank Kurumi for the information about martial arts and part ways with her.
The next day, I head to the Nankuru-ryuu Karate dojo that Kurumi told me about. A deserted dojo comes into view. It doesn't seem to be popular.
"Who is it?"
A voice calls out to me from behind. When I turn around, there is a man there. A man in his forties with a well-trained body.
"Good morning. This is the Nankuru-ryuu Karate dojo, right?"
"That's right, this is the Nankuru-ryuu Karate dojo. Are you going to join us?"
It seems that he is a dojo instructor.
"I came to hear about it first."
"Well, let's go inside."
When I enter the dojo, I found that it had been cleaned up. However, the dojo itself is in shambles. I am asked to sit somewhere suitable, so I sit in the middle of the dojo.
The man who seems to be the master brings tea from the back and places it in front of me.
"Well, my name is Mitsuhashi Tougo. I'm the master of this dojo."
"I'm an adventurer. I'm Sakaki Grimm. I'm looking for a dojo that can teach me martial arts or body techniques that can help me as an adventurer."
Mitsuhashi makes a face as if he doesn't understand.
"Is this place famous?"
"I heard from a weekly magazine reporter that the teacher here is as strong as a demon."
Mitsuhashi gives a wry smile.
"That's a mistake. I also became an adventurer, but it was all I could do to become an F-class."
"Oh, weren't you blessed with magical talent?"
"That's right. My only talents are Lifeblood Magic and Life Magic."
I let out a sigh, wondering if this person is the same.
"I also have only Life Magic talent."
"That's not possible. You shouldn't be able to continue as an adventurer with just Life Magic."
