Episode 145 RoughTurtle
I decided to call this new Life Magic 'Cold Shot', and the object made of D-Particles 'D-Particle Cooling Pile'. The range was 20 meters, the same as 'Pile Shot'.
I decided to continue the power test. I fired a QuintColdShot at the big tree. The moment the D-Particle Cooling Pile hit the tree trunk, the end opened as a stopper.
However, the penetrating power was so strong that the stopper didn't stop it and it penetrated. As a result, the trunk of the tree was smashed to pieces and the tree fell.
"Ahh! , Can it not withstand the power of a quintuple activation with the hardness of the tree trunk."
This result was not a malfunction of 'Cold Shot'. For the time being, let's just pass the power test. I registered 'Cold Shot' in the Sage System.
I returned to the ground from the Suigetsu Dungeon and went to the Adventurer's Guild. Tesshin was waiting for his turn in front of the counter.
"Oh! , I heard about it. You defeated the OrcKing."
Tesshin saw me and called out. I approached the counter.
"It wasn't me who defeated it, it was my magic academy students."
After chatting for a bit, I decided to borrow the knowledge of Tesshin.
"In the Suigetsu Dungeon, what would you consider a large, sturdy monster?"
I was looking for a partner to test 'Cold Shot' on.
"In that case, it's the FireDrake of the 30th floor."
"I've only just captured up to the 20th floor, the 30th floor is impossible."
"Is that so. Then, how about RoughTurtle on the 22nd floor?"
"A turtle monster, is it?"
"That's right. It's a giant land turtle that lives in the swamp. It seems to be near the swamp on the 22nd floor."
Turtles also had high defensive power. It might be a good opponent to try 'Cold Shot'. I thanked Tesshin and went to the reference room. And then examined the 21st and 22nd floors.

The 21st floor was a mountainous area, and it seemed that there were ferocious goat monsters called RushGoats and large panthers called KillerPanthers.
The 22nd layer was a wetland area where giant land turtle RoughTurtles lived. According to the materials, the 22nd floor seemed to be an area that hadn't been explored in detail.
To defeat the RoughTurtle required powerful magic, and there were many such monsters. It was understandable why adventurers who disliked wasting mana would dislike this area.
By the way, even if you defeated the RoughTurtle, the experience points you got were not much different from OrcKnights.
"It's not like dungeon errors are likely to occur, and it doesn't drop anything."
I also had the idea of testing 'Cold Shot' against concrete blocks at a paid practice field. However, it was difficult to tell whether the
Well, let's go there as part of the attack on the 30th floor. That's what I thought, so I prepared.
The next day, I entered the Suigetsu Dungeon early in the morning and headed to the 20th floor. After spending the night in the Mid-boss room there, I went down to the 21st floor.
There were three mountains in this area, and the only way to conquer them was to cross the mountains. I used 'Wing' to take a shortcut. As expected, if I flew the whole process with 'Wing', the magical power consumption would increase, so I chose only the most difficult places to fly.
Thanks to that, I was able to reach the stairs in a short amount of time. However, there I encountered a KillerPanther. A tiger-sized panther attacked me with a menacing roar.
I used QuintOgrePush to intercept. The ogre plate that flew while rotating repelled the KillerPanther. Its power was out of the framework of defense, but in my thoughts, this was also a means of defense.
Seeing that the KillerPanther was sent flying quite far, I thought that the quintuple activation was too strong. I used triple/quintuple/sevenfold multi-activations a lot.
It was best to practice evenly and use quadruples and sixfolds in terms of conserving magic power, but I didn't have that much time to practice, but with triple and quadruple, and fivefold and sixfold, since there was practically no difference in power, naturally, I came to use odd-numbered multiple activations.
The angry KillerPanther rushed towards me from afar. This time I hit it with a TripleOgrePush, only to stop its momentum, and cut it down with a QuintBlade.
When I was about to head for the stairs, I encountered a goat monster called RushGoat, which was about the size of a racehorse. This monster was easy to target, so I killed it with a QuintJavelin.
This time, I actually went down the stairs and entered the 22nd floor. It was an area where swamps and rivers occupied a large area. My feet were muddy and it was difficult to walk.
I went towards the swamp. About five minutes later, I found a big turtle. The RoughTurtle seemed to have noticed me, too. When I changed directions, it rushed with a feeling of thumping.
The speed was about the same as a person's running speed. However, the opponent was a turtle with a total length of about 4 meters. The force was amazing.
I activated TripleCatapult and threw my body upwards to the right. Being tossed into the air, I released a SeventhJavelin. However, the D-Particle Javelin that hit the RoughTurtle's shell only damaged the shell and was repelled.
"Haahh, 'Javelin' doesn't work on this guy."
I glared at the RoughTurtle when I landed using 'Airbag'.
The RoughTurtle seemed to lose sight of me for a moment, but it quickly noticed and turned around. I guessed it was going to rush in again. I tried a TripleColdShot.
The D-Particle Cooling Pile flew and hit the RoughTurtle's shell. It stuck about 20 centimeters into its shell and exerted its cooling function. The RoughTurtle trembled and stopped moving. Then, the giant disappeared.
The internal organs were frozen by the cooling effect, and the root of life stopped. To confirm this, I sought out another RoughTurtle and shot it with a TriplePileShot.
It stabbed it about 20 centimeters in the same way, but this time it rushed forwards without dying. I hit a TripleColdShot again. Then, the RoughTurtle stopped moving and died.
I tested the same thing several times to confirm that the cooling function was working.
I also tried a QuintColdShot. The D-Particle Cooling Pile stuck in the RoughTurtle's shell stopped with the stopper, and a spider-web-like crack ran through the shell, causing it to cave in.
It had tremendous power even though it was fivefold activations.
"This is the end of the experiment.
After killing many RoughTurtles, I reached the depths of the 22nd floor. The direction was different from the stairs leading to the next layer, so there should be few adventurers who had come this far.
"Nn, what is that?"
There, I found a RoughTurtle that was incomparably larger. A normal RoughTurtle was about 4 meters long, but this one was about 6 meters long.
With this guy, I could try the SeventhColdShot.
