Episode 42 Skeleton Dungeon

When I heard about the Spirit Fountain, I thought it was a good idea not to let go of the Holy Silver Dagger. If I put the Holy Silver Dagger into the Spirit Fountain and make it a Sacred Weapon, I can even defeat a Phantom.

"I have a request. Can you let me participate in the Skeleton Dungeon capture?"

When I said that, Amane tilted her head.

"It's fine if it's Grimm-sensei. But, didn't you move your activities to an intermediate dungeon?"

I let out a sigh.

"I'm stopped on the 7th floor of the Suigetsu Dungeon. It's an undead area over there, so I definitely need a weapon to fight the undead."

Amane and the others nodded in agreement. Chika then asked a question.

"Sensei, what happened with finding the means of dealing with quick enemies?"

"I understand that you need a way to deal with quick enemies, and for that you need a Life Magic called 'Sensing Zone'. However, you can't learn it until you reach magic level 8, so it won't be possible right away."

Amane pouted.

"Eehhh, again. ... But, it can't be helped. Have you mastered it, Sensei?"

"Haah, I thought I'd catch up with you soon."

I can't just let you catch up with me so easily.

On Sunday of that week, Amane-tachi and I headed to the Skeleton Dungeon. After changing clothes at the dungeon house, we gathered in front of the dungeon.

"Did you forget anything?"

It seems that the four of them bought a silver dagger to become a Sacred Weapon. It costs about 200,000 yen for one, and Chika, who is having a sword made, seems to have run out of savings.

"Okay, let's go."

We headed to the entrance of the dungeon.

"Ah, that's right. I forgot to mention something. I have a case of magic potions in my pouch. If you need it, you can always use it."

At the Adventurer's Guild shop, I bought four cylindrical cases to protect the glass containers of magic potions. Two of them contain an elementary healing magic potion and an elementary detoxifying magic potion, and put them in a pouch. Hearing that, Amane seemed to be interested in the circumstances under which I obtained them.

"Did you get those magic potions in the Suigetsu Dungeon?"

"Aah, I got them when I defeated a Satyr and a KingSnake."

"A goat man and a big snake? Please excuse me from fighting big snakes."

Alisa smiles when she sees that.

"Grimm-sensei, do you dislike snakes?"

"It's true that I'm not good with them, but KingSnake is a giant snake that looks like it's going to swallow people whole. Anyone who sees its eyes would be horrified."

We entered the dungeon.

The first layer of the Skeleton Dungeon was an empty wasteland. There was nothing but stones and a little grass growing. Skeletons roamed the wilderness.

We encountered a single Skeleton. In its bony hand was a club.

"Leave it to me."

Alisa stopped Yukari from using offensive magic.

"Wait, Yukari needs to defeat the Phantom, so let's defeat the Skeletons and Ghouls together."

Alisa is dependable. In order to preserve Yukari's magical power, she gave the order. Chika went out instead of Yukari and cut the Skeleton in half with a TripleBlade.

It seems that it can be defeated by destroying the Skeleton's skull. Defeating the Skeletons we encountered one by one, we proceeded to the back of the dungeon.

I bought a dungeon map this time. It's because time is limited when it comes to diving with Alisa and the others. We went down the stairs without hesitation.

There was a group of SkeletonDogs in front of the stairs leading down to the second floor. A SkeletonDog is the dog version of a Skeleton. A SkeletonDog that seems to be a large dog turned into a skeleton is more agile than a Skeleton, so it's hard to defeat.

Even so, it was an opponent that could easily be defeated with TriplePush and TripleArrow. I hit the approaching SkeletonDog with a TriplePush and knocked it away, then shot a TripleArrow into the fallen SkeletonDog's skull.

If you try to kill it with a TripleArrow from the beginning, it may miss, so it's dangerous. After all, it seems best to defeat it with 'Push'.

We went down the stairs and entered the second floor. It was an abandoned village. The undead we encountered were zombie-like monsters, Ghouls to be exact. Skeletons were also occasionally encountered, but there were overwhelmingly more Ghouls.

The Ghouls clad in rotting flesh were not well received by Yukari and the others.

"Nooo, don't come!"

Even Yukari, who was told to conserve her magical power, attacks with 'Bullet' and 'Fire Burst'.

Alisa, Amane, and Chika were also desperately firing TripleJavelins.

"Everyone, calm down. TripleArrows are enough for slow-moving Ghouls."

I warned them, but Amane and the others didn't want the Ghouls to get too close, so they annihilated them at a distance.

We rushed through the 2nd floor at the shortest distance and descended to the 3rd floor at the stairs. Alisa and the others calmed down when we arrived at the 3rd floor.
