Episode 69 Mobility increasing magic

I asked Alisa and the others what kind of magic a Sage could create that would make their lives more convenient.

"Is it magic that makes life more convenient?"

Yukari tilted her head.

After Amane thought for a moment, she gave an answer.

"I'm not good at cleaning, so it's a magic that cleans."

Yukari agreed after hearing that. She didn't seem to like cleaning either. There was a magic called 'Clean' in Life Magic, but it had a limit of cleaning things in your hand, so she couldn't use it for things like cleaning her room.

After thinking about it, Alisa,

"When I wake up in the morning, my hair is messy because of my sleeping habits. It would be nice to be able to fix it with just one spell."

I accepted while shrugging my shoulders. I went to a place in the forest that had a hill-like terrain. I was thinking of activating the magic towards that slope.

"Shock waves will be generated, so be careful."

After warning them about that, I held my Tatakanata in an upper position and activated the SeventhHighBlade. The roaring sound of the shock wave attacked Chika-tachi's eardrums, and when they saw the slope of the hill blow up the earth and sand like an explosion, they understood the power of 'High Blade'.

Chika muttered. Alisa and the others nodded in agreement.

"This is what it's like. You're still not at a level of being able to use it."

The day's training ended, and I parted with Alisa and the others.

After that, when I returned to my apartment, I thought about how to defend against powerful Attack Magic and convenient Life Magic.

"Is it necessary to use magic exclusively for defense? or is it necessary to use magic that increases mobility?"

With magic cloak magic, the body is wrapped in magical power, forming a force field of magical power to increase defense power. Since it is a force field of magical power, it doesn't hinder the movement of the body.

On the other hand, simply wrapping the body in D-Particles didn't create a force field, so it was useless for defense. It formed a D-Particle shield similar to 'Auto Shield' and blocked attacks with it.

However, 'Auto Shield' couldn't block FireDrake's breath. This was because nine D-Particle shields couldn't guard the entire body.

On top of that, I had no idea how strong the D-Particle Shield would have to be to block the FireDrake's breath.

It seemed that I had a habit of talking to myself when I concentrated on something. When it came to mobility, there were ways to increase muscle strength like magic, vehicles, or gaining some kind of propulsion.

The first one was probably impossible for me, who lacked talent for Muscle Magic. I should be able to learn rudimentary Muscle Magic, but 'Power Armor' was the limit.

The second one, a vehicle, seemed to be the most promising, but there was one problem. It seemed that a huge amount of magical power was required. Besides, it was a matter of what kind of vehicle I chose. When it came to magic vehicles, magic brooms and magic carpets were the standard, but I felt like I would fall.

What's more, if I ran out of magic in the dungeon, I would be in trouble.

The last one, propulsion, was an image of a motor paraglider. It was propulsion by carrying an engine with a propeller on your back.

However, I felt that the propeller was no good. So I thought of a way to push my back with magic like 'Push'.

The next day, I headed to the sea. I thought I'd try it on the beach. It was a small local sandy beach. It was early in the sea bathing season, so no one was there.

I was thinking of changing into leather armor and experimenting so I wouldn't get hurt when I fell.

I activated the Sage System and created a magic that collected D-Particles, wrapped my body, and moved in the air. At the initial setting, the average speed was about 30 kilometers per hour.

The moment I jumped straight up, I activated the new spell. Something wrapped around my body and accelerated. After flying about ten meters, the magic wore off and I was thrown into the air. I jumped a little due to inertia, but soon landed and ran a few steps before collapsing.

It felt like being in the hands of a giant and being thrown into the air. If I got used to it, I would be able to land better. The next question was how far the speed could be increased.

This magic could not be activated multiple times. The only way to make it possible was to change the D-Particles into something like hundreds of one-Yen coins and wrap them around the body. In order to increase the effect of multiple activations, it was necessary to stack the D-Particle formations.

I formed hundreds of D-Particle leafs and improved them into a magic that enveloped and moved the body. As a trial, I activated the new magic with double activation. It didn't go as fast as I might imagine. It was probably about 20% faster than the first time. The reason was the use of a large amount of D-Particles. D-Particles didn't gather even if it was activated multiple times.

There was a solution. By prolonging the activation time, a large amount of D-Particles could be collected. However, it was no longer the kind of magic to use when you want to move far away as quickly as possible.

That's why I improved the magic. I decided to collect D-Particles even as I was moving in the air. As a result, it became possible to move at a tremendous speed with seven layers of activation.

When I accelerated to that point, after the magic wore off and I was thrown into the air, I flew several meters. Naturally, landing became difficult. I named the new magic 'Catapult' and decided to improve it little by little.
