Episode 175 Wyvern

The road leading down to the canyon from the entrance of the second floor was a narrow, winding road like an animal trail built on the slope. We descended the narrow path to reach the bottom of the canyon.

"First, I will guide you to the center of the second floor."

Gogou took the lead and began to advance. From here on, I would be the escort by Yousuke's side. The first monster we encountered was an AssaultSheep.

Gotou finished it off with a single blow of 'Bullet'. It was said that the power of Attack Magic changed depending on the user's proficiency and amount of magical power, but when the magic bullet hit the AssaultSheep and exploded in its head, I was horrified.

I heard that B-class adventurers were different from C-class adventurers, but the difference in power seemed to be greater than I imagined. After that, a Satyr with the lower body of a goat and the upper body of a human, a SmallGolem, and a LizardSoldier were encountered, all of which were killed with a single blow of a magic bullet.

"There's a Goblin Town ahead, what should we do?"

Gotou asked Yousuke. In a Goblin Settlement, less than 100 Goblins was called a Village, and over 100 Goblins was called a Town. There were more than 100 Goblins ahead.

"I'm good with Goblins."(TN:He says 'Goblins are good' here, but he means he has enough already.)

Yousuke didn't want to encounter more than 100 Goblins.

"Right. In the Goblin Town, there's a GoblinMayor."

GoblinMayor was the mayor of the Goblin Town. It was said that if you defeated this guy, you would get a Magic Pouch. However, it didn't have the storage capacity of the special Magic Pouch I had, and it seemed to have a capacity of about 50 liters.

Gotou turned his attention to my Magic Pouch.

"That Magic Pouch doesn't seem to be a GoblinMayor's."

"Can you tell. This is a GoblinKing's Magic Pouch."

Gotou looked a little surprised. It was probably because the GoblinKing itself was a rare monster to encounter.

"Then, shall we go."

We avoided the Goblin Town and moved on. There was a spring in the place called the center of the second floor. The water from this spring was said to have the effect of restoring physical strength.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"An adventurer who thought he could make a lot of money by drawing a large amount of this water and selling it outside, filled several plastic tanks and took them outside, but the water returned to normal water."

Gotou reminisced and laughed as he told me.

"Are you saying that it only works inside the dungeon?"

I confirmed with Gotou.

"No, it seems to be a matter of time. It's only effective for about five minutes after drawing it from the spring."

I tried it. The water was cold and delicious. The next moment, I felt the fatigue disappear from my body.

"I definitely felt my fatigue was taken away."

Yousuke and Gotou also drank.

"It's true. My fatigue is gone."

Gotou laughed.

"Why are you laughing? Was it a lie?"

"I wasn't lying. However, it hasn't been proven whether physical strength has actually recovered."

It seemed that there were many people who felt that their physical strength had recovered after drinking this water.

Yousuke took some pictures of the spring.

"Next, I want to take a picture of a Wyvern."

Hearing that, Gotou made a sour face.

"Is it bad?"

When I saw that face, I asked.

"No, after this, I was planning to guide you to a place where a SteelGolem is likely to appear. In the unlikely event that I have to fight a Wyvern, I'm worried about the amount of magical power remaining."

"Then I will kill the SteelGolem."

"I see, you seem confident. I'll leave it to you."

Gotou decided to guide us to a place where a Wyvern was likely to appear.

There was a river about twenty meters wide, and there was a sandbank in the middle of the stream. Shrubs grew thickly in places where earth and sand piled up like islands.

After waiting there for about an hour, a Wyvern flew over. The sandbank wasn't a Wyvern's nest, but it was its favorite resting place.

I had been researching Wyverns as well. It was one size smaller than the FireDrake, but it was a pterosaur-like monster with agile maneuverability.

The only thing you had to be careful about was that they could use magic to spit out a compressed air mass from their mouth.

Yousuke was engrossed in releasing his camera shutter. It must have noticed it, and the Wyvern glared at him. He was hiding behind a rock, but he seemed to have been found.

Gotou stepped forward and activated 'Drake Attack'. A large amount of magical power flowed out of Gotou's body, compressed into a sphere in front of Gotou's eyes and flew towards the Wyvern.

The Wyvern noticed the attack and jumped into the air. Thanks to that, the 'Drake Attack' whiffed. The Wyvern, which flew up into the sky, began to dive towards us.

I guessed it intended to approach and use magic. Gotou glared at the Wyvern and fired two 'Drake Attack's. 'Drake Attack' was not a 100% success rate either.

The first shot missed completely, but the second flew close to the Wyvern and exploded when it detected it. Its power was tremendous. The Wyvern's wings became tattered and it fell.

He finished off the fallen Wyvern with a huge magical blade generated by 'Sword Force'.

"It was amazing."

When I called out to him, Gotou let out a big sigh to relieve his tension. The Wyvern dropped a red magic stone and a Wyvern Skin as drops. Gotou collected them and returned to us.

"Wouldn't it be better to leave the Wyvern to Grimm, who can fly?"

"No, it would take time in order to fly, so having Gotou-san defeat it was correct."

Even while Gotou was fighting, Yousuke was taking pictures. Yousuke's face was so serious as he prusued his subject that I wondered if he was scared at all.

The last was a picture of a SteelGolem. While Yousuke was satisfied with shooting from behind a rock, for some reason the SteelGolem started walking towards us.

"Grimm, it's your turn."

Gotou called out. I shrugged my shoulders, emerged from behind the rock, and glared at the SteelGolem. The walking speed of the SteelGolem that noticed me increased.

I took out the D-Particle Collector from my Magic Pouch. I had accumulated the D-Particles in advance and put it away in the Magic Pouch.

I released the D-Particles stored in the D-Particle Collector. I held the Black Staff in my right hand in an upper position and activated NinthHighBlade.

The gigantic D-Particle Blade born in the air shook the air, emitting a roaring sound and swung down toward the SteelGolem at about three times the speed of sound. It bit into the SteelGolem, which should be surprisingly strong, and cut it.

After that, a shockwave and blast spread around. I quickly dropped to the ground and defended myself. When the blast subsided, the SteelGolem had disappeared.

"Goho! Goho!, I inhaled dust."

"However, it was a powerful magic. Life Magic is a series of surprises."

Gotou and Yousuke's faces were full of surprise, and it seemed I was able to appeal the existence of Life Magic.

The SteelGolem dropped a black magic stone and an Intermediate Antidote Magic Potion. When I collected them, I turned back.
