Episode 41 Water Moon Dungeon Seven Layers

Episode 41 Suigetsu Dungeon 7th floor

A black tiger does not mean that it is completely black. The original tiger has black, brown, and white stripes. This DarkTiger has turned that brown into grey.

It's not like this DarkTiger is a formidable foe. Compared to OrcKnight, it is a monster that is easy to defeat. This time as well, if the Javelin hits, it is half dead and hit it with a QuadArrow to finish it off.

"I can now shoot QuadArrows with almost no charge time. Now, I think I'll focus on five-fold activation."

I decided to raise the level of my training.

The monsters encountered on the 5th floor are DarkTigers, Orcs, and BattleMonkeys. BattleMonkeys are monsters that appear in beginner dungeons, and can be defeated with TripleArrow.

I continued my search, found the stairs at the base of the huge tree I was aiming for, and moved from the 5th floor to the 6th floor. I feel lucky today.

The 6th layer was an area of brown soil and wasteland with stones rolling around. I didn't plan to explore the 6th floor today, so I didn't do any investigation. But I was feeling good, so I decided to move on.

"Well, what kind of monsters are there here?"

As I started walking through the wilderness, I heard a rustling sound coming from ahead. I had a bad feeling and stopped. And then, feeling the sign that something was approaching, I readied my Tatakanata.

What appeared from behind a large rock was an insect rolling a huge dropping. The size could be seen from the size of the dropping that it was rolling. The dropping was two meters in diameter.

It was a monster called a MegaScarab. I looked for a place to hide. However, the MegaScarab noticed me. It released the dropping and ran towards me.

"Stay away!"

I yelled and released a QuintJavelin at the same time. The blow pierced the MegaScarab's back.

The MegaScarab's legs convulsed. When I watched it, wondering if it would disappear, the convulsions subsided and it started running again. Stubborn, I though, and swung down the Tatakanata at the monster. At the same time, I activated QuadBlade.

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Four V-shaped plates appeared on the extension of the Tatakanata, joined together, and cut the MegaScarab's head. The insect monster disappeared. I picked up the green magic stone and ran away quickly.

The mass of feces left behind by the MegaScarab gave off a foul odor to the surrounding area. If I stayed near it like this, the smell would permeate my clothes and body.

I roamed the wilderness and defeated six MegaScarabs. Still, the magic level of Life Magic didn't go up. Even if I defeat the monsters that I encounter in the lower floors of intermediate dungeons, it's a level that won't rise easily.

When I was feeling a little tired, I saw what looked like the ruins of a temple in the middle of the wilderness. The roof had fallen off, leaving only thick stone pillars.

"Wow, that is."

A KingSnake was coiled up in front of the ruins. This monster is quite large with a total length of 12 meters. And at the tip of its tail is something called a rattle that makes a sound.

In other words, the KingSnake is a monster that is a giant rattlesnake. When the KingSnake vibrates its tail, it makes a jingling sound.

Hearing the sound and seeing the KingSnake, a primitive fear welled up in my chest. I panicked and attacked with a QuintJavelin. The QuintJavelin pierced the long body of the KingSnake.

The bleeding KingSnake seemed to know right away that I was the one that attacked it. It moved towards me, and I released a QuintJavelin again. Unfortunately I missed. I regretted interrupting myself in the middle of my attempt at learning Muscle Magic.

I thought that if I had mastered the Muscle Magic that increases the defensive power with a magic spell, I could have dealt with it more calmly. The close-up KingSnake raised its sickle neck and opened its mouth to bite.

I blocked it with a reflexive QuadPush. I think 'Push' is a magic for defense, not for attack. 'Push' is a reliable tool in such cases.

Even though I thought it was for defense, I fired a series of QuadPush attacks at the KingSnake. The KingSnake that looked like it's been battered in a frying pan lay on the ground. Thinking it was my chance, I jumped in and slammed a QuadBlade into it.

The KingSnake lifted it's sickle neck and tried to escape, but it was too late and I cut its torso in half. I felt something inside my body emit a thumping sound. It seemed that my magic level had risen.

The immobile serpent disappeared, leaving behind another glass container. This time it was a greenish glass container. It was an elementary detoxification magic potion. I picked up the magic potion and put it in my backpack. I found and picked up the KingSnake's magic stone. A red magic stone . I made a considerable amount of income.

When I went to the ruins of the temple, there was a staircase leading to the 7th floor. I went down the stairs and entered the 7th floor. A large cemetary stretched out in front of me.

"Here's the problem."

The 7th floor of the Suigetsu Dungeon was famous, so I knew about it without researching it. The monsters encountered here were undead. Skeletons, Ghouls, and Phantoms were famous. Skeletons and Ghouls could be defeated with weapons and ordinary magic, but Phantoms were spirits and couldn't be defeated with weapons or normal magic.

You need anti-undead magic such as Lifeblood Magic 'Turn Undead', or a special weapon.

"Weapons for spiritual bodies are too expensive to buy ... what should I do?"

There's no use worrying about it here, so I started to turn back. I left the Suigetsu Dungeon, changed clothes, and headed to the Adventurer's Guild. After exchanging magic stones at the Adventurer's Guild, I entered the reference room. I had a memory that something happened in the Skeleton Dungeon, and I wanted to confirm it.

"Ah, Grimm-sensei."

Surprisingly, Amane and the others were investigating something in the reference room. Arisa happily talks to me.

"What a coincidence. Sensei, what did you come to investigate?"

"I came here to find out about the Skeleton Dungeon."

"We are too. We're thinking of trying the Skeleton Dungeon next time."

"Isn't it dangerous? Phantoms should appear over there."

Yukari stepped forward with a proud look on her face.

"Eheem, it's okay. I learned 'Turn Undead'. We're good."

"That's amazing. You did your best, good job."

I praised Yukari as much as I could.

"So, what did you learn?"

When I asked, Amane answered as a representative.

"In the boss room of the Skeleton Dungeon, there is a Spirit Fountain, and if you put a non-iron weapon into that fountain, it will be blessed and become a Sacred Weapon."

A Sacred Weapon is a weapon that can deal damage to all undead.
