Episode 151 Dam Lake test flight
"Grimm, if you were to fight, how many Cyclopes could you take on?"
"All of them."
"Right, remaining is ... Ahh!, all of them, you said."
Tesshin was surprised because it was unexpected. It seemed that if I took on a few, Tesshin was going to take on the rest.
"I have some things I want to try, so can you leave everything to me?"
"Will you be okay? There are six of them."
"No problem. Don't underestimate Life Magic."
"Are there still hidden gems? As I thought, it was true that you obtained a Magic Book. How many new Life Magics were in that Magic Book? Twelve, or fifteen maybe?"
A normal Magic Book seemed to have such new magic written in it. There were few new spells written in the Life Magic Magic Book. Could it be that Life Magic is underdeveloped?
Tesshin shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, that's fine. If you're that confident, I'll leave it to you."
I was thinking of trying SeventhPileShot. To test the power of this magic, I needed a group of Cyclopes.
The Cyclopes lined up in front of the cave, glaring at its entrance. I used TripleCatapult and moved right next to the giants.
I hadn't been noticed yet. I shot SeventhPileShot aiming at the place where the giants were lined up. The D-Particle Pile, which flew at high speed, hit the flank of the Cyclops in the front and penetrated its body. It pierced the chest of the giant next to it and penetrated easily.
That wasn't all. Skipping by one, it hit the head of the fourth one, pierced it, and disappeared. It was overwhelming power. Three giants fell, and the rest of the Cyclopes noticed me.
The Cyclopes screamed and attacked me. Then, I used TripleCatapult to throw my body straight backwards.
When I landed using 'Airbag', I fired a TripleColdShot at the giant's chests. One shot at each, the moment they hit, the back end part popped open and became a stopper, driving all of the kinetic energy into the giant's body.

That alone killed the Cyclopes. It seemed that the additional effect of cooling wasn't necessary. Tesshin came over and stood next to me.
"That's amazing. Is it a magic that can be learned even with magic talent 'D'?"
"Unfortunately, it's impossible. Magic level 11 or higher is required."
Tesshin made a disappointed face.
"More importantly, let's confirm the safety of the Tsukika-dan before the Cyclopes gather."
"That's right."
We entered the cave. There were the members of the Tsukika-dan Team in the depths of the cave. The leader, Shirai, seemed to have been injured.
After being thanked profusely by Shirai and the others, they asked.
"What happened to the Cyclopes?"
Tesshin laughed.
"Don't worry, we defeated all the monsters. Well, it was Grimm who defeated the Cyclopes."
I felt a little embarrassed by the surprise and appreciation in their gazes.
"Shirai-san, did you take care of yourself?"
"Yeah, I drank an elementary healing magic potion. But, it's broken to the bone. It can't be cured with an elementary healing magic potion."
Shirai's injury was his right leg.
"We were unlucky. We encountered a Cyclops, and before we could kill it, it screamed and called for allies."
We made a makeshift stretcher and carried Shirai on it. I thought of using 'Wing', but considering the consumption of magical power, the stretcher was better.
We put a Seal at the exit of the stairs and headed to the surface. This Seal was a sign that we rescued the Tsukika-dan Team. The adventurers who were also rushed to rescue saw the seal and signaled to stop the search and return.
Since the radio could not be used in the dungeon, this was the only way to contact them. We returned to the Mid-boss room on the 9th floor, spent the night there, and then returned to the surface.
"Well done. I'll have some sushi delivered, so please eat it."
Branch Chief Kondou smiled and thanked me for my hard work.
On that day, I ate a lot of sushi that the Branch Chief had treated me to and then returned to my apartment. After taking a short break, I started thinking about magic for aerial combat.
Basically, I thought there was no problem with remodeling 'Wing'. However, I decided to make the shape completely different. I launched the Sage System and started remodeling based on 'Wing'.
First was the flight speed. To increase the speed to 180 km/h, the amount of D-Particles collected must be increased. This was because the D-Particles were converted into energy and became the driving force.
I tried forming a D-Particle Wing with enhanced propulsion. It seemed to be fine.
Next was what to do about the lateral G and various angles of G that occurred during intense movements.
I thought of a sheet that would envelop the body. The shape resembled a bucket seat for a sports car. This was to fix the body when lateral G was applied. With a seat belt of course.
It was shaped like a bucket seat, but it looked fragile because it was made of a thin plate of D-Particles like a glass plate. However, it was actually very sturdy and had spring-like elasticity.
A foothold was also needed, so instead of stirrups, I put something like a wheelchair footrest. I combined this seat with the D-Particle Wing that had increased propulsion. A strange thing was completed. This was a prototype for testing the comfort of the seat, and it wasn't a finished product.
The next day, I went to the Dam Lake. I thought I would give it a test run. The lake here was not very crowded. I launched the Sage System and activated the new magic.
A strange thing that glowed pale red appeared in front of me. When I sat in the seat, the seatbelt was automatically tightened and my body was fixed. The ride wasn't bad.
I rose to about 5 meters and began to glide across the surface of the lake. At first, I flew at about 50 km/h. I tried various things such as sudden rise, sudden descent, right turn, left turn, sudden acceleration, sudden deceleration. The maneuverability was fine.
The seat that enveloped my body showed its true value and supported my body during sudden climbs, right turns, left turns, sudden accelerations, and sudden descents. However, during sudden deceleration, the seat belt dug into my body. It seemed that it was no good if a force that threw me forward acted.
I finally decided to try the top speed. I gradually increased the flight speed from 50 km/h. From around 100 km/h, the wind pressure became stronger and troubles occurred.
"No good. I can't keep my eyes open."
I slowed down the flight speed and took out the night vision goggles from my Magic Pouch and put them on. I tried the top speed again, but this time the wind pressure made my chest hurt.
At a speed of around 120 km/h, it seemed that the wind pressure became a force of about 30 kg and pressed the body.
"I can't use this as it is. I need an airframe with a wind shield."
I started thinking about the shape of the airframe that would incorporate this seat.
