Episode 129 Exchange meeting
The TripleOgrePush hit and knocked away the RageSpider. I fired a TripleJavelin to finish it off.
After quickly killing the RageSpider, I took out my pocket watch and checked.
"It'll be late if I don't get back soon."
I hurried back.
I returned to the surface, went to the Adventurer's Guild, and exchanged the magic stones at the guild. When I asked if it was possible to exchange gold at the counter, they told me that it would be a loss if I exchanged it at the guild. Because the guild took a commission.
When I asked where I could exchange gold for money, there was a shop in front of the station. When I redeemed it, it turned out to be a lot more money than I expected.(TN:150 grams of gold is a little over $9k USD in real life.)

When Autumn ended and Winter began, Alisa and the others were given the qualifications to take the E-class promotion exam.
"I want to take the promotion exam, what should we do?"
Amane consulted with everyone.
Alisa and the others agreed, and they took the promotion exam at the Adventurer's Guild and passed it easily.
"That was somehow anticlimactic."
Yukari said. Amane and the others also nodded.
"Even so, the opponent was OrcKnight. It was almost an instant kill."
Alisa and the others were looking for the treasury at the Orc Castle. They were used to hunting OrcKnights. That being said, while looking at the E-class adventurer card, Yukari made a happy face.
"To become an E-class adventurer so quickly."
Most of the graduates of the Magic Academy graduated as F-class adventurers. Among them, students who became E-class were rare.
"I thought Yukari and Chika would become E-class, but I thought I might graduate as G-class."
When Amane said so, Alisa nodded.
"If Grimm-sensei hadn't taught me Life Magic, that might have happened."
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
"It's the same for us. We may have become F-class, but I don't think we could have become E-class."
Chika spoke up. Yukari nodded as well.
Chika was a hard worker, but her talent for Muscle Magic wasn't all that great. On the other hand, Yukari was highly talented in Attack Magic, but she lacked the will to become an excellent Attack Wizard.
After saying that, Alisa and the others parted ways. The next day, when they went to the Academy, they received a call from Karina.
"What is it?"
They went to the staff room, and then went to the principal's office with Karina. It seemed that the principal had something to say.
"I'm sorry for calling you so suddenly."
When Alisa and the others heard about the reason, they were told that excellent students of the Magic Academy who had become E-class or higher adventurers were being gathered to hold an exchange meeting. They were asked to participate in it. The information that Alisa and the others had become E-class seemed to have been received from the Adventurer's Guild.
"Will Kurotsuki-senpai also participate?"
Yukari asked. Principal Kiryuin nodded.
"Of course. It's one of the school events. The place will be the Amelda Magic Academy in Tokyo."
Amelda Magic Academy was a magical academy famous for producing excellent adventurers. Among them were adventurers who were famous all over the country. The principal told them to meet such adventurers and be inspired.
"Well, if it's you guys, you might be the ones to inspire them, but that's fine too."
"Are we going alone?"
Alisa asked a question.
"No, Mochizuki-sensei will go with you."
Karina smiled at Alisa and the others.
"My best regards. I heard that the principal of Amelda Magic Academy is a gourmet, so I think we can eat delicious foods."
Amane was pleased with that information. It seemed that there was an event where the representatives of each academy showed their special magic, but they decided to leave it to Kurotsuki.
On the day of the exchange meeting, Alisa-tachi, Kurotsuki, and Karina headed to Tokyo. On the train, Yukari asked Kurotsuki.
"Kurotsuki-senpai, what kind of magic are you going to perform at the event?"
Kurotsuki had a serious face.
"It seems like flashy magic is appreciated, so I think 'Lightning Bomb' or 'Prominence Nova' would be good."
It was a safe choice. As for Attack Magic, there were surprisingly few flashy magics that could be learned at level 9 or lower. Instead, flashy magic was concentrated at magic levels from '10' to '15'.
Alisa guessed that Kurotsuki's magic level was '9'. Since Alisa herself was magic level 9, even if there was a difference between Attack Magic and Life Magic, they may not be different in terms of ability.
There was a reason why Kurotsuki was still magic level 9. It was hard for people to go from magic level 9 to magic level 10. It was said that you couldn't go up unless you defeated special monsters such as intermediate dungeon Mid-boss class monsters or Vagabonds.
They arrived at the Amelda Magic Academy. Greetings and a light meal were served in the gymnasium. There was no mistake in the story that the principal was a gourmet. The food served was delicious, and Amane's eyes lit up.
Gathered there were the students of the Magic Academies, mainly from the Kanto region. There seemed to be an exchange meeting in each region, and the number of participating schools was surprisingly small at 14. Students who became E-class were rare.
At that time, a student called out to Kurotsuki. He was a cool, handsome adventurer with a toned physique.
"Hey, Kurotsuki-kun. It's been a year."
Kurotsuki smiled at the student. However, it seemed to Alisa that the corners of his mouth were twitching.
"Midou-kun, huh, I've heard of your success. It's amazing."
Alisa and the others had also heard of Midou's name. He was the youngest adventurer to reach D-class. He defeated the Mid-boss IceDrake on the 30th floor of the intermediate dungeon. An IceDrake was a dragon-type monster.
It seemed that he didn't defeat it solo, but as a team, but it was still a great achievement. The eyes of the students from other students in the hall were gathered.
"Kurotsuki-senpai, please introduce us."
Yukari asked. Kurotsuki introduced Alisa and the others. He heard that Alisa and Amane were Life Wizards,
"You guys are Life Wizards? You did well to become E-class adventurers."
Alisa thought he was picking a fight, but the evaluation of Life Magic outside of Shibugami City, she remembered it being as such.
"Midou-senpai, you're behind the times. The next era is Life Magic."
Amane declared. Hearing that, Midou smiled.
"It's a little different from my opinion, but I'll keep it in mind."
Looking at Midou, Alisa remembered Kazamatsuri who graduated. Karina came and gave the order for the representatives to perform their magic. Kurotsuki's order seemed to be the last one. And most importantly was that Midou's turn was right before Kurotsuki.
Midou was said to be a level 12 Attack Wizard. If Midou showed flashy attack magic just before Kurotsuki, the magic that Kurotsuki would show would be considered worthless.(TN:Worthless here could mean dregs, or leftovers, basically it would be completely unimpressive.)
Kurotsuki frowned.
"Sensei, wouldn't it be better to show off their Life Magic rather than me?"
"Nn, right. Alisa-san-tachi, how is it?"
Alisa and the others discussed and decided to show off their Life Magic. They thought of showing a misunderstanding bastard like Midou the true strength of a Life Wizard.
