Episode 54 ThunderBowl

I returned to the ground to rethink the magic of 'Heat Bowl'. I bought coffee at the dungeon house and launched the Sage System while drinking.

I took a sip of the coffee. If it's just heat, it's power is limited. If I add the property to 'Cone Arrow', it will burn with heat after stabbing, resulting in additional damage. Then the power will increase, but it feels somehow not great.

The D-Particle Bowl with property was named Electric Discharge Bowl, and the magic was named 'Thunder Bowl'. There seemed to be a spy movie with a similar name, but this one is 'Bowl' and the movie is'Ball'.

I dived into the dungeon again. I searched for a Goblin on the first floor and activated 'Thunder Bowl'. The Goblin that was hit by the Electric Discharge Bowl convulsed and collapsed.

"Oi, oi, I didn't even use multiple activations."

The Goblin was lying on the ground in agony. I fired a TripleThunderBowl into the Goblin that was lying down. The Goblin that received it died and disappeared.

"I can use this. Let's fuse this with 'Cone Arrow' and make it a new magic."

After returning to the ground from the dungeon, I changed clothes at the dungeon house and returned to my apartment.

I created a Life Magic called 'Thunder Arrow' by replacing the Electric Discharge Bowl of 'Thunder Bowl' with an Electric Discharge Cone Arrow. The range of 10 meters was the same, and it became a magic that could be learned at magic level 7.

I officially registered 'Thunder Arrow' as Life Magic in the Sage System. I deleted 'Heat Bowl' and considered what to do with 'Thunder Bowl'.

"It can be learned at magic level 4, and if it's used alone, it seems like it can replace a stun gun. But, I have 'Thunder Arrow', so I won't use it, myself."

It wasn't necessary considering that it was used inside the dungeon, but it might be useful if there was a fight outside the dungeon. I decided to register it without hesitation.

On the day of the E-class promotion exam, I went to the Adventurer's Guild and asked the receptionist who would be the examiner.

"The examiner is Ozaki Satoru-san, a D-class adventurer who became an examiner for the F-class promotion exam.

We headed to the Suigetsu Dungeon. After changing clothes, we entered the dungeon. From the 1st floor to the 10th floor, we proceeded along the shortest distance.

"Even though you're solo, you can move forward without danger. The magic you're using is powerful."

I've made it this far by making full use of 'Push', 'Cone Arrow', 'Javelin' and 'Blade'.

On the 10th floor, you would encounter ArmoredBoars, BigSheep, and BlackHyenas. ArmoredBoars and BigSheep are fine, but BlackHyenas are tough monsters.

The ArmoredBoar was a large boar that wore a scale armor-like skin and boasted tremendous defensive power. The QuintJavelin did no damage and it required a SeventhJavelin or SeventhBlade to defeat.

However, the QuintPush was effective. If I hit a QuintPush from the front of the ArmoredBoar that was charging, the big boar that had no armor on the tip of its nose would get a concussion and get stunned. When the ArmoredBoar was stunned, I could decapitate it with a SeventhBlade.

The problem was the BlackHyenas. They attacked in groups. They surrounded their prey in groups of seven or eight and attacked the target all at once. This kind of monster was tough for solo players.

When we encountered a pack of BlackHyenas in the depths of the 10th floor,

"These guys are troublesome. Should I fight them too?"

Ozaki, who hadn't cut in until now, made the offer.(TN:Doesn't make sense for them NOT to help until the target if the target is the only requirement for the exam, right? I'd think a normal adventurer would run out of magic power before they reach the target soloing to it... Not everyone has his Half MP Cost ring ... >.<)

I shook my head when I saw the pack of BlackHyenas approaching.

"It's okay, I think I can kill them by myself. Ozaki-san, please wait here."

Activating 'Auto Shield' and 'Sensing Zone', I headed towards the pack of BlackHyenas.

Ozaki called out to me with a worried look on his face.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"It's no problem."

I grasp the movement of the BlackHyenas not with my eyes, but with the movement of the D-Particles.

Surrounded by the herd, I glared at the BlackHyenas with my Tatakanata. The BlackHyena is about the size of a large dog and is stronger than most wild beasts.

One of them jumped at me. I slashed it to pieces with a QuintBlade. Meanwhile, another one attacked me from behind. The D-Particle Shield responded and repelled the sharp fang attacks.

I turned around, and swung down a QuintBlade and decapitated the BlackHyena. And then another BlackHyena attacked, so I shot it down with a QuintArrow.

While blocking the attacks of the BlackHyenas that attacked one after another with the D-Particle Shields, I made full use of 'Blade' and 'Cone Arrow' to finish them off.

After annihilating them, Ozaki approached me.

"I can't believe it. If this is how a Life Wizard fights, then why is it that Life Magic is said to be useless?"
