Episode 255 Magic Battery

The next day, Metis and I decided to see if we could really make a humanoid Shadow Puppet. Using about 10 kilograms of Shadow Clay and a DarkLizardman's Shadow Magic Stone, I began making a prototype of a humanoid Shadow Puppet.

First, I created a Shadow Puppet with the same shape as a human, incorporated the DarkLizardman's Magic Core, and tried making it work. Metis was the one who made it move, but it seemed that it was difficult to handle.

A version that approximated humans without hindering movement was completed. The Shadow Puppet, which looked like a dwarf with a tail, deftly moved its hands to turn the pages of a book.

The basic shape of the humanoid had been decided. When I asked Metis what to do with the face, she said she didn't care. As far as Metis was concerned, it would be fine as long as you could discern the face.

I tried having this new Shadow Puppet use the Trishula. It was small, so it felt like it was being swung around by the trident, but it seemed like it could be used somehow.

When I searched for new information about Narukami Dungeon in the Adventurer's Guild's reference room, I found that a staircase leading down to the 8th floor had been discovered. The discoverer was Gotou's team.

"Gotou-san might be the one to move up to A-class."

There were no new discoveries on the 2nd floor where the Wyverns were nesting. I left the Adventurer's Guild and returned to the mansion, quickly finished eating and taking a shower, and then went to bed.

The next day, I went to the Narukami Dungeon early in the morning. First, I went to the Healing Spring on the 2nd floor and refilled the Universal Healing Potion. Then I headed to the place where the Wyverns nested.

There didn't seem to be any teams hunting Wyverns. It seemed that all the Wyvern's nests had been discovered, so they could no longer expect to find treasure in the treasure chests in the nests.

The remaining two beasts saw this and became cautious not to approach me carelessly. After collecting the red magic stone left behind by the Wyvern, I activated 'Boomerang Wing' and sent out a Combat Wing.

I got on the Combat Wing and ascended chasing the Wyvern circling above. An aerial battle began in which we flew around freely and fired magic at each other.

A Wyvern fired magic at me. Compressed air shot out like a spear and attempted to shoot down the Combat Wing.

[ A compressed air bullet is coming from behind. ]

While listening to Metis' warning, I turned to the right and endured the strong lateral G. After dodging the Wyvern's magic, I sneaked around behind it, increased my speed, and lined up next to it.

The Wyvern lined up next to me squealed. I fired a SeventhShotgun at it. The Small Detonation Piles that hit the Wyvern exploded, and the ferocious pterodactyl screamed and fell down.

Metis told me. When I turned around, a Wyvern was right behind me. I guess it thought it would be safe behind me, but it was a huge misunderstanding.

I shot it down with a SeventhShotgun. I checked the spots where the Wyverns fell using the Combat Wing. The two Wyverns were both writhing in agony.

I landed and dealt the finish blow to the Wyverns. When I killed the last Wyvern, a drop was left behind in addition to the red magic stone. I picked it up.

It was a ring. When I examined it with my Appraisal Monocle, I found out that it was a 'Storage Ring'. It was an accessory that had the same function as my Storage Armlet.

[ What is the capacity? ]

"It seems to be about 200 liters. Just right for incorporating into the new Shadow Puppet."

I decided to use the Storage Ring for the humanoid Shadow Puppet.

When I returned to the surface, I made a request to have the three red magic stones processed into a Magic Battery. I also ordered high-performance Sorcery Eyes, Sorcery Ears, and Sorcery Voice.
