---------------------

Just over two days had passed since that night. The previous morning was somewhat devoid of questions. Avrin didn't ask Calomia anything and Calomia seemed to not even act as if it were important. Avrin began to think that she was not hiding anything, but he had a feeling that his questions were best left held back despite his curiosity. He had wondered how she knew of Earth, then again the more he pondered the less crazy it seemed. The first universe was not closed off to his knowledge. He was sure gods would come and go as they please.

But when she said Earth was such a beautiful place, he couldn't help but think what she meant. He wondered if anything happened to Earth, and wondered just how long had passed.

Avrin was thinking to himself as he sat on the wooden porch. He was waiting for Urkan to come as this was where he said he would be waiting. Ilisia and Calomia were preparing to dry some lean cut meat to preserve for later.

The method they used was one Avrin had given them yesterday. After he had finished with the square device made with dark matter he didn't bother holding back on his powers much and formed a simple wooden shack for them to hang some meat after rubbing it with salt and then smoking it.

Avrin held the device in his right hand, holding it up towards the sun to see the light reflect inside. The device was as before a somewhat transparent square cube that held Nebula Mist inside with a reflection of the building he focused on detailing. The building itself was almost like a glassy gloss of blue, yet this was something Avrin wanted to show Urkan which was why he didn't use the device. It was another opportunity to show that he had many more things up his sleeves.

“Mister Avrin, we’re all done!” Ilisia came over, her hands covered in the juices of the meat and moist salt. She was wearing a long-sleeved dress that Avrin had given her, but now the sleeves were rolled up to not get dirtied.

“Silly brat, go wash your hands before going to talk to people!” Calomia waddled over with a prideful expression as she used the exquisite cane Avrin had given to her and then gave Ilisia a slight bonk on the head with it.

“Ow!! Fine, I’m going!!“ Ilisia frowned, puffing her cheeks before rushing off to the nearby well to draw some water in the bucket. Avrin felt as if he didn't have much else to say to Calomia at the moment. He was worried that he might ask her about Earth, but he was also wondering why he showed interest. Humans were not his people anymore, he was living a different life and was part of a race he had made, in a different universe. “-Why should their well being be of my concern...were they not the ones who cheered at my execution....though I would love to show that swine bastard what de-particalization feels like-” Avrin revealed a crude grin as he would definitely get revenge on Dere if he had the chance.

“Hmm?” Avrin raised his head and just as Calomia was going inside to brew some tea for the three of them to drink, Avrin’s Divine Sense, which extended for six-hundred meters picked up on an individual moving quickly towards a spot Avrin had kept an eye on. This individual was discernible to Avrin. It was Urkan, who was using his own two legs to arrive alone.

Avrin stood up and spoke out towards Ilisia, who was washing her hands in a bucket. “I'm heading off, I won't be too far this time. I'll return soon, hopefully.” As Avrin spoke, Ilisia glanced up to see Avrin walking off. This time, she was satisfied with having spent some time with Avrin and waved as she called out. “Ok Mister Avrin!! Can you bring something sweet if you pass by a shop!”

She felt at ease requesting something from Avrin. It wasn't a strange thing for her. Urkan had arrived at the place which was a simple open field with several rock formations and parched ground and grass and a few trees. He was glancing around somewhat confused. “Hmm...this is the place isn't it?” He spoke to himself and was about to pull out his map again before a voice called out to him from behind.

“It is,“ Avrin walked over with his mask on as he stepped out from behind a tree. He walked closer until he was several meters from Urkan. “It's good you kept your end of the deal and arrived, Urkan. I trust the preparations have been made and payment has come?”

Urkan felt a little nervous around Avrin, especially after the events of the day they met. Urkan didn't reply and smirked slightly before reaching under his blue embroidered cloak, pulling out an enchanted sack before throwing it to Avrin.

“You will find not only the payment but the deed to everything within one kilometre of this location. My end of the deal has been kept, though I'm quite curious why you arranged to meet here?” Urkan spoke as he looked at Avrin. This place wasn’t really well hidden. In fact, it would be more reserve for an ambush. This made him even more cautious.

“It’s to show you a product I'm working on, a glimpse to show you that my current products and the future ones are definitely better than similar or identical items that others may sell.”

Avrin retrieved the cube from his hand before walking over to an open area that he knew was the correct size. Placing the cube down he placed a Haze he had gotten from the payment that Urkan had given him. The crystal slowly melded into the cube. Avrin walked back before glancing over towards it.

“Mister Avrin, what is it you’re trying to show me? Nothing seems to be happening...” Urkan seemed a little sceptical, though it was his mistake as the cube suddenly emitted a pulse of darkness. The crystal’s transparent covering suddenly cracked and exploded, releasing a larger, pitch black, void-like dome that expanded exactly twenty meters in diameter and shot up fifteen meters in height. The ground itself trembled slightly as the darkness even went underground for ten meters. The darkness dissipated soon after, like a cloud of fog clearing up. When things had settled, a large, stone structure appeared, though its design was rather straight forward, it was a decorated marble-like stone building with a strange mix of a cube and rectangular structure that also extended beneath the ground.

Avrin had decided to scrap his previous design as it would have done no real good, he knew he needed room for his shop and the ability to add other areas, thus he decided on another approach, the cube he later designed was simply a blueprint that when fed enough dark matter would create a building's interior and exterior. Because his talent at design was almost nil as compared to Eitri, he went with a less difficult and resource efficient method, he knew Eitri would be spitting out curses at him for making such a thing, but what the dwarven spectral didn't know would not hurt.

“Incredible....you're able to make magical tools that can instantly create buildings?... I have never heard of such a thing... my horizons need to be broadened.” Urkan truly was stunned and wide-eyed his eyeballs almost popping out as he trembled, he, of course, began following Avrin towards the building as he also listened to Avrin speak. ”It's a work in progress of course, i felt it would be fitting to use it as a way to establish my shop, though I’m sure you can imagine the application of such a tool, if you were to use this on a battlefield where you had little to no time to create a garrison to route an enemy or a way to trap a creature, you could see the gains.”

“I definitely can, though right now I am sure i wouldn't be able to afford many of these, it seems expensive...” Urkan gave a pained smile as he was guessing Avrin's price. “There is a proverb where I come from that says speaks of a city not being built in a day, of course with enough of these you would be able to build several cities in a day!, this item is currently not on sale until I work out some kinks and improve it some more, but the price is something I wouldn't gouge you on, these are most likely going to be tailored to your order until I can find a way to mass produced them.”

Urkan's brows narrowed slightly as he rubbed his forehead. “Mr Avrin this terms of yours are slightly confusing...what is this mass produce?...” though Urkan's words made Avrin look dumbfoundedly at him, he replied honestly. “It refers to a method to produce large quantities of an item within a short amount of time without stopping.”

Urkan froze slightly, to be able to mass produce something like this would be incredible, he wondered just what would happen if these were sold everywhere, he was certain cities and towns would be built using these, he also felt that the military side would see great benefits too.

“-it was a good thing I choose the correct side, the artificer consortium seems so far behind compared to this man's ideas and methods...just what technique and magic does he use to create such strange things...-” Urkan pondered silently before he realised another thing “-this man is quite dangerous, I can't imagine what else he has, those dark frost mines are incredibly powerful and easy to fall for, not to mention his sigil weapons which are of the same quality as others but are much more durable and stronger as if they skip a level of rarity, this is incredibly bizarre-”

Urkan looked a little troubled. Avrin didn't think much of it, instead, Avrin pointed his finger towards the two large, dark wooden doors that glistened with a purple and black lustre. The doors were coated with  purple runes. This was something cosmetic, to make it seem that he knew some magic. The doors opened to reveal the interior.

The design was modern. It was as if one had entered into a new world. It was tiled with black marble, with a large reception desk that was part of the floor. The desk itself was also marble but also had a set of wooden panels along its front to help it stand out more. The front area was large with both left and right having a single door that glistened like metal yet seemed a bit different. It had the sort of lustre as a Sigil weapon. The walls themselves were of layered steel, being the interior layer and a special, white marble brick material to act as the second layer. Avrin felt this would allow it more structure and safety. It was also a test to see what would last. After all, if things went according to plan he wouldn't have one building but many.

“Such a strange interior...is this part of the culture from where you were born?” Urkan asked with curiosity as he walked around, examining everything. The area was devoid of any furniture, and the only other place to go, apart from the left and right corridors, blocked by the dark matter material, was up the single flight of stairs that led towards another hall. This led towards where Avrin planned to be most of the time.

“Something like that. This is also a sort of signature for others to know that we do not do things in the usual way. It's best to innovate and create. The building itself is quite sound and durable, it can weather storms and the elements of nature against siege attacks as well as magical attacks. It also has a layer of protection that will activate a bubble-like shield around it. This is my facility, Shaded Moon, and it will be the location to create and sell merchandise. Be sure to come often as it won't be long before I have many more clients.”

Avrin spoke in a slightly prideful manner. He intended to speed things up, in fact, he was preparing for the Artificer Consortium to make a large move towards him. He didn't think they would let it go once they realised that they had competition different to the Highland Syndicate.

“M..Mister Avrin, have some mercy towards my mercenary group. I hope you will keep us in mind when you pave your way into this land. I do not doubt that soon you will be invited to the banquets of kings and queens. I also predict that the Artificer Consortium and Highland Syndicate will keep a close eye on you.” Urkan spoke as a friendly warning for Avrin to know that not everything may be as pleasing as he wanted it to be.

“They will be taken care of if they move. I am already prepared. In the meantime, I will get started with your order, feel free to come tomorrow at 6:00pm or have some people sent here to pick it up.“

Urkan glanced curiously at Avrin and spoke. “If you would like assistants and workers I will gladly-” Avrin interjected, as he knew Urkan’s intentions. “I have help arriving in the not too distant future, in the meantime, myself is enough.”

Urkan nodded with a reluctant look before speaking. “Very well, this was indeed an eye opener for me, Mister Avrin. To think such strange magics existed, truly incredible. I will return to Roth where I have a small building reserved for us. Tomorrow I will send Sullivan with two others to pick up the goods. I look forward to seeing what you create.”

With that, Urkan walked towards the two doors that opened up by themselves. When Urkan left and the doors shut, Avrin moved over behind the reception desk, walking up the marbled flight of stairs down the hall towards the open room with no door. It, unlike the other places, had a window, though this window did not reveal outside it revealed simply a mirror reflection of himself.

He felt that this had begun to be too good to be true. He needed something to constantly remind himself that this was real. The more he remembered it all the more it began to pressure him until he finally relaxed.

Raising his hand, several dozen spheres of dark matter shot out towards many areas upon the ceilings of the entire structure. The spheres began to emit a strange pulse that seemed almost invisible. Avrin felt it couldn't help to be extra cautious in regards to defences.

From there, he opened both his hands and Nebula Mist flooded out. Dozens upon dozens of parchments began to form. These parchments were not similar to the pricing guide he had made before, these were promotional posters. He wanted to lightly provoke the Artificer Consortium into acting. He was going to use them as a stepping stone.

The posters were well done with a starry night sky background printed on a velvet layer and a silk inner layer. The background seemed to come alive and glisten slightly as if the stars were twinkling. It seemed like magic yet he purposely made these out of dark matter to give those a feeling that his magic was so incredible that they couldn't feel anything from it.

The parchment held the emblem of his store and the name "Shaded Moon" written in the language of this world in an elegant font. On the bottom, it had several paragraphs also written in the same language. It was nothing too advanced yet wasn't dull. It got straight to the point to entice people.

It read as follows: “Life can be filled with difficulties, dreams can be born & dreams can be shattered, those who wish to adventure yet don't have the funds can only watch as the greed of merchants steal their life savings. Shaded Moon offers a special, new and innovative Sigil weapon that is able to morph into any accessory the purchaser wishes for it. That isn’t all it also-”

It went on to describe the functions and features in dot point. This idea of marketing was not seen before in this world. In fact, it didn't even belong in this universe, as it was suited for a modern or future society with technology. But it was enough to show them the innovative ideas and get to the point. The last thing Avrin added was the pricing which he made sure was visible in glowing blue lines, stating that his prices would beat his competitors, and that he was selling Uncommon level Sigil weapons for only four Haze crystals each. He also went on to boast that his creation would be made in front of the purchaser if they requested it.

The parchment poster was an amazing one meter in length and half a meter in width. Hundreds had been made and were hovering around Avrin. Avrin waved his right hand and the Nebula Mist surrounding these parchments stirred slightly. The parchments rolled up and were bound by a silk ribbon. The material themselves were valuable and could be sold for quite a bit.

Avrin raised his hand again, causing the Nebula Mist to condense and shoot inside the parchment. It wasn't visible, but a map had formed to show where Shaded Moon was located. From there he and the hundreds of parchments vanished as he used his Divine Step.

When he reappeared he was far from Roth village. He had already guessed the areas where mercenaries and other adventurer groups were located, using his Divine Sense he would specifically target those strongest individuals before making one parchment disappear and then appear in front of that individual.

It wasn't good for Avrin to spread these around to common folk too soon. He wanted to target the best potential buyer's first. Some people who received a parchment would jump from surprise at the appearance of a strange rolled up parchment appearing from thin air.

Others would gaze at it with slight fear, unsure of what it meant and not daring to open it for several hours, then feeling like fools for not doing so earlier. Not all of this was good, though. Some people glared at it and threw it away, not taking it seriously. Others rushed to give this to the Artificer Consortium.

Avrin had only taken a couple of hours. He was frowning somewhat, he felt that this method was a bit below him and that he could have done better, but he didn't care much at all. This was because he knew once he had a large list of buyers word would spread like wildfire. When he returned, he didn't appear back in his office, he appeared within the large underground area that had several stone columns helping to prop up the heavy ceiling. Avrin glanced around, it was completely pitch black, there was no entrance here, it was completely closed off. Avrin gripped the enchanted sack as he could see perfectly in the dark. His eyes were glowing, making the mask slightly visible.

Avrin poured the contents of the enchanted sack out and a large pile of Lucent crystals appeared. Avrin began to handle Urkan’s order. Right now was a simple waiting day, within a week things will either pick up or not improve. He also guessed that some people were loyal to the Artificer Consortium and would give those parchments to them, but it didn't bother him at all. Beside him was the deed to this land. If they dared to cause trouble, by right he would be allowed to expel them.

Within Roth village, a man at the early Master level rushed through the market bizarre with a parchment in hand. He was wearing a set of mail armour and seemed excited yet uneasy. People looked at him strangely, wondering why this individual was kicking up a stir. Some recognised him. “Isn't that the leader of the Steel Boulder adventurer group?” One long haired female spoke, and soon other people after hearing her also noticed as they began to chatter wondering where he was headed.

This man's destination was the Artificer Consortium. He rushed towards the door, ignoring those who had been there before him and were lining up to get inside. One of the guards in glowing plate armour frowned and quickly blocked the man's way. “Cerg, you know the rules. Wait in line...not even you can push through.”

Cerg raised the parchment and grinned as he handed it to the guard. “Look at this buddy. I got this a few hours ago and went to go talk to Liil of the Dark Claws. He got one of these as well. Do you know what this is? I’m sure it’s important to the Artificer Consortium!”

Cerg seemed somewhat smug as if they owed him for bringing this up. The guard glanced at him with a somewhat disdainful look before unravelling the parchment and examining it for a few minutes before he scoffed slightly. “This is ridiculous....who thinks they could bother with our consortium?...you think we have time to deal with trash....its probably some new store that wants scraps. Forget it Cerg, you can take this and get lost if you’re not here to buy anything, and if you are, get in line!”

Cerg trembled with anger as he gave a sour look before glancing at the parchment and rushing off. The guard had made him look like a fool and others were shaking their heads at him and laughing in a way that showed they enjoyed watching the mighty fall. The guard would regret his actions, as in the coming days this would cause a commotion.

The next day, Avrin had finished all the Sigil weapons and Dark Frost mines ordered by Urkan. He had used his Divine Sense to transport them all to the higher level separated into two chests. One chest contained the Sigil weapons which were all in ring form neatly, the other chest contained the stacked Dark Frost mines.

When Sullivan arrived and examined it all he was a little stunned. He and the several others that came to help and also guard it never expected Avrin to be done so soon, though Avrin didn't blame them. They lived in a world where Sigil weapons took time and effort to create. He thought nothing of it, it was less than child's play to him.

“Sir Avrin, we will be off now.” Sullivan bowed as he ordered a man to carry the small chest outside to an armoured carriage pulled by a rhino-like creature with a wide jaw. He then ordered two more men to carry the heavier chest that contained the Dark Frost mines to follow after them.

“The founder will be pleased with this. The payment has been made thankfully, so I am sure if he intends to send word it will be by a trusted individual who will have payment since you prefer payment first. So that being said I-”

Sullivan hadn't had time to finish as a group of six people walked in. They seemed a little nervous and looking closely they were identified as a group of young adventurers who were just starting out. Their leather armour was not cheap by the looks of it, but also not expensive. “Is this....Shaded Moon?...”

the young lady at the front who held a small glowing tome in her hands spoke. She was average in height and wore a small round hat on her head. She had brown hair with a single ponytail. An average girl at most, though to Avrin he didn't see them as any less of a customer.

“It seems I won't be able to see you and the others off, Mister Sullivan, a step has been taken. Of course, I will always be grateful to your group and you are always welcome here,” Avrin glanced towards the adventurers and spoke again as he smiled under the white steel mask towards these youngsters, “Why yes it is, young lady. How can I help you all tonight? Getting here must have been a hassle, I apologise for that.” Avrin said while Sullivan knew Avrin had just started and didn't dare interfere. He left silently yet was pleased with today, as he felt Anzazia had, like Avrin, taken a step in the right direction.
