V4: Chapter 124 I'm Done Warming Up.

!!!!! Pr Credits To Draconis Von BloodTrap &  Dragonofsomesort  Who Constantly Help With SR chapters, Please take the time to rep them for their work :)

124 hot off the pring press! so usually when i have a chapter pred i will ask my prs what they think of the chapter, draconis said this one felt that it took to long i want to know what you guys think of the pacing, this way i can narrow down what is needed and what i should avoid after all im not a novel writer being paid by word XD if things can be avoided i will try to mend them as best i can or try to make it a bit more exciting.

i notice many of you have said that Shandians image is more so of a unicorn. well my design is somewhat inspired by the Kirin of monster hunter, but i figured many of you would think less of how it looks, which is why i said not to underestimate the image >.> it is still a baby so to speak and doesn't really have many notable features until it grows which is when i can go crazy and make it look incredible.

also volume 4 will end when chapter 126 is released, just a heads up im also planning to release 125 soon, i just want to edit over a bit and give time for people to comment here which is something i enjoy reading, but i wont keep you guys waiting to long, il change the sponsor queue when 125 is released.

This Chapter is Sponsored by Owen Edwards, Michael Muldoon, Dylan Simmons, Jordan Uselman, thank you for supporting SR!

P.S my shoulder has been killing me for nearly a week now i haven't been sleeping well and my doctor has said that i should take some time off work as well as stay off any laptop/pc, that being said im thinking of taking a small 1 week break when volume 4 ends, nothing to major just enough time for me to buy a new mattress and help my shoulder heal.

Sulemani’s deepened voice echoed out with disatisfaction towards Orochi. “How dare you harm those under my protection, vile trait-” Just as the large dragon was about to finish, Orochi’s large figure shot up from the sand that had covered the view of everything around him. He was like a comet that was directed to Sulemani who, of course, gathered his own mana before roaring: “Aqua Field!” Around the dragon, a torrent of water surged like a dense bubble that seemed impenetrable.

Orochi’s roar seemed to cause the very sea to twist and turn before it smashed against the bubble, its claws ripping it apart with ease, which caused Sulemani’s large eyes to widen. Orochi continued towards the large whale dragon’s belly with its tail, though Sulemani used its large, fin-like wings to lift itself up. Although this happened, the dragon was smashed and a large gash appeared on its belly, which usually is considered a weakness for dragons in human mythos, but for Sulemani, this was its best defensive area, yet it was gashed with just a swipe of Orochi’s tail.

“You!...” Sulemani called out, but Orochi's wind affinity head began to glow. Above the ocean, in the sky, clouds gathered and a large cyclone began to form. Of course, this cyclone was not normal. It was gathering the mana in the area into itself.

Within moments, the cyclone was glowing with the hue of many mana affinities, almost like a soft rainbow where one would meet death. The dragon made the mana cyclone smash into the sea as it began to drill down towards Sulemani, who glanced up in shock.

“How did you get so powerful!?!” The dragon opened its mouth as it began to prepare a large, blue colored Terror Burst. The cyclone’s tip neared Sulemani as the water was unable to go near it due to the wind pressure, another feat of how powerful a new deity truly was.

“Terror Burst!” Sulemani roared out before firing the blue beam of destruction towards the mana cyclone. The moment it got close, the beam was twisted and torn apart before it too was absorbed into the cyclone and used to strengthen it.

Before Sulemani could escape, his large, mountain-like body was caught up in the suction of the cyclone and it was struggling to escape. Orochi, who was watching from the side, simply laughed and began to charge a flame vortex. “You dare attack your brother!! Fine then, if you are with these creatures, you can die with them!!”

Tryil dashed towards Orochi as he had been watching from the side and had been gathering mana. As he shot towards Orochi’s abdomen from underneath, he thrust the trident outward while a blue surge of mana spiraled around him. “Azure Impaler!!” This was the Sigil wielder’s strongest attack. He knew Orochi was incredibly powerful, and if he held back, it would spell doom for him.

Of course, Orochi’s ice affinity head slithered down to gaze at him and smirked. “You little bug can die now...” Orochi casually spoke before the eyes of the head began to glow a snow white and its mouth opened out before a pulse of white light shot at him, causing the water to freeze. The ice was so cold it was not  colorless and transparent, but a deep blue instead, cold enough that enough so it could form glaciers that lasted many millenniums.

Tryil was stunned, as the attack he had released had slowed down his body soon felt incredibly cold, as if he was being stabbed by pins and needles. Moments later, a large arch of ice from Orochi’s ice affinity head flew down, covering the now frozen to death Tryil down to the sea floor which had a sheet of ice around it.

“Just like that...he killed a Sigil wielder?” Azrael was truly stunned. He could only assume that Orochi had reached an unfathomable level. How could such a dragon be defeated?

Orochi gazed at the struggling Sulemani, who roared out and tried to gather a Terror Burst as it saw Tryil die. Orochi’s gaze was filled with disdain.

“I’m done playing with you...” Orochi’s middle head, which held no affinity, opened its mouth before a deep green and black sphere of mana began to form. Sulemani suddenly shot out his Terror Burst, but Orochi was already prepared. “This, is a Terror Burst!” The nine headed serpent called out before the sphere shot, causing another surge of mana spanning hundreds of kilometers to be felt.

The Terror Burst of Sulemani was dwarfed and soon dissipated under the strength of Orochi's, which engulfed its body and soon, even as the dragon roared in agony, it was blown apart and then burnt into arcane ash. He was now truly one with the sea.

The beam of condensed mana shot through the mana cyclone that struggled to remain active and even shot out of the ocean, flying up into the sky and blowing away the clouds. The attack was intense enough to reach near the exosphere of the planet before dissipating.

Orochi’s mana cyclone soon also dissipated and now all that was left was Azrael, who glanced in horror and also happiness. The dragon’s strength was enough for him to feel revenge was truly possible. “Thank you, Avrin… Truly, thank you for this chance.” He spoke to himself.

Orochi reached down towards the arch of ice that had Tryil frozen in it, and with a swipe of its large claw, caused it to shatter into pieces along with Tryil. Of course, the Sigil weapon Leviathes was unharmed. Orochi picked it up with its claw, making the weapon look like a toothpick, and placed it into one of its mouths, devouring it and snickering. “This one should take one-hundred years to properly break down, though another boost in strength will be good.”

Orochi then glanced around in the darkened sea, stained with debris, sand and blood, before roaring out. “Tialoc, you scoundrel, so much for your sea tribe!!! HA HA HA!” Orochi clearly felt that taunting the god who couldn’t intervene was a joy only reserved for it. How could it know that Tialoc was indeed watching with a sad and angry expression. Had it not been for Septim and the others warning him, he would have rushed down to butcher the nine headed monster.

Orochi’s large wings began to beat before it shot up in a twisting motion, breaking the surface of the ocean like an awakened doomsday. It spread its wings and emitted a pulse of mana which pressed down against the water, pushing it greatly, before pressing up against the clouds, also causing them to disperse.

“Fresh air! Being locked away for so long, how can I not enjoy this! Now then.” Orochi turned to glance in several directions as a thin sheet of mana spread from its mind and engulfed the planet. This was the mana equivalent of Divine Sense. Of course, only new deities and higher beings could use such a thing.

The downside was, unlike Divine/Dark Sense, which was wielded by Avrin, only Avrin and potential Spectrals would be able to use their sense to their advantage. Azrael floated up quietly beside it, not daring to utter a word, and was ignored by Orochi. Orochi spoke out as it looked over in certain direction. “Perfect.... All the bugs are gathering in one spot, most likely thinking of how to deal with me… Good! It saves me the trouble of searching.”

Azrael, hearing Orochi’s words, was stunned. With Void, he was only capable of simple searches, yet Orochi somehow was able to tell that at such a distance. These bugs he assumed were the Sigil wielders were all located there. “-Is this new level truly such a benefit?-” Azrael contemplated.

He didn’t doubt this, as only the gods such as Zephiron were able to sense so easily. But here, Orochi was doing the same. “-Can he have achieved the realm of the gods?-” Azrael felt things were twisted, unsure if he was right or wrong. He just wanted revenge and, despite saying he wanted the world to burn as a result, he wasn’t so sure any more.

“It’s time to fulfill my part of the deal. Let’s go visit the central continent.” Orochi laughed before its body surged forward like a flying fortress. Its speed began to pick up before its wing beats caused mini tornados. Azrael, of course, had to use the full capability of his mana just to keep up with it. Orochi’s heads all gave a crazed look as the dragon flew towards the central continent. On this day, Seleria would be turned upside down.

Meanwhile, within the Northern continent, Avrin was within his innerworkings. His main focus was on assisting all the particles progress as best as he can under a perfect state. “-Incredible.. In this state, as long as I focus my attention solely on improving the Type 9 particles, the process and learning curve is cemented into my very being. This benefit truly is incredible in speeding up everything. I don’t know how long it’s been, but my C.Particles are already at 60% completion, while these normal Type 9 particles are at 20% completion-”

Avrin’s body was like a universe shaped into a humanoid, with the small specs of light being particles that made up his body holding it together and balancing it. The particles would all flicker intensely, and one could say the C.Particles were the stars that held the Type 9 particles in a steady condition, like an orbit, while connecting them all to each other.

“-The downside of this is I’m incredibly weakened. I do not doubt even an Intermediate level individual could easily kill me. Thankfully, I do not have any enemies that know where I am. Once I reach the Dark stage, I wonder if my strength will be enough to allow me to leave this planet and find one where me and my people can strengthen ourselves without issue. That would be much more beneficial than here-”

Avrin was unaware of the events transpiring in the outside world. This included that all the current living Sigil wielders other than Azrael and the deceased Tryil were currently within the underground chambers of Altea.

Orochi was in no rush. Word had already began to spread of a rampaging dragon. Orochi would find small islands and wreak havoc on any living thing it found. Of course, Azrael dared not speak in urging the dragon. He knew how powerful it was, and that if he angered it, it may turn on him.

Though the news, thanks to magic, had already reached the capital. These started off as rumors that were heavily moderated and kept at bay with the help of King Leo Zircus.

Seated around a large square table were five people. These were Abbadon, King Leo, Chieftain Giron, a humanoid covered in feathers with a large, vulture looking head, its beak extended and wearing a robe that shined with a powerful grey glow, this was the leader of the Avian race, Matriarch Skrawl, possessor of an unknown Sigil weapon that no one had information on.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Giron frowned as he glanced at Skrawl and then spoke with a look of disgust. “Why is it this thing is here again, aren’t you Avians neutral?” Skrawl glanced at Giron and her beak opened up. She squawked. The squawk itself caused the room to shake, as if it were imbued with mana. She then replied. “Thing? You fur covered bastard, you have guts indeed. Speak with respect, or I will have to cut you open and hang them over my city gates!”

Skrawl was violent and arrogant, even more than Giron, whose veins were pressing against his forehead, mana surging out of his body. This caused Skrawl to quickly stand up and emit her own surge of mana. The two were clearly about to go at it and battle to the death.

“Watch me cleave you in half, winged wretch..” Giron spoke, but before the two of them retrieved their Sigil weapons, Abbadon roared: “Enough!” His own mana surged, engulfing the two. With Abbadon being an angel, as well as the only one with a Sigil enhancement, he was stronger than the two. He was at the Mythical level when going all out with his Sigil weapon, stronger than even Sulemani.

“Have you both no idea the trouble we are in! Not long ago, Tryil’s insignia shattered, meaning he is already dead... and now we are all in the same boat. I have no idea if Fafnir is going to assist us, as I have recieved no reply, but for us right here and now we are the only ones present who are willing to fight Orochi!” One could see that beads of sweat were rolling down Abbadon’s foehead, his hands even shaking slightly. If even he feared Orochi, how could the others not.

“I agree with Abbadon.“ The soft, sweet voice belonged to Myra, one of the leaders of the Sylph race, who was holding a small sphere that emitted a glow of light that surged through her hands. This was a special device created by the humans and the angels that allowed one to interface with similar devices spread out across all important human outposts. It allowed one to transmit information of urgency. The cost of this device was expensive so it was used only for urgent matters, such as the rampage of Orochi.

“Judging by the direction, he is already heading here. It will take him several hours if he keeps up his current pace, but he is only being stalled by destroying anything he comes across. I suggest we evacuate the port city of Letunia immediately, otherwise this will no doubt add onto the hundreds of thousands already dead if we are to confirm that Tryil’s city has fallen.”

It was at this point that the one armed King Leo, whose face was pale with anger, already with resentment towards Avrin, spoke out. “I refuse.... If word gets out that Orochi is headed here, do you know the consequences and the cost such fear would have on my economy?”

Myra frowned and gazed at Leo before speaking in anger. “You truly are crazy. You’re willing to let that dragon come and destroy a city and kill thousands? The result will still be people fleeing in fear and they will blame you, their so called king, for not warning them beforehand. Not only are you looking at an economical downfall, but a potential rebellion!”

Hearing Myra lecture him, Leo clenched his teeth. “You....” He stood up, his remaining fist still clenched. The feeling only fueled his anger, as he was not able to have his arm reattached. The mana that lingered around was somehow eaten away, although the corruption of whatever remained on his arm didn’t spread and grew weaker. If mana was used to reattach the arm, then the strange corruption would devour the mana and strengthen again. He could only wait until it was completely gone.

“Don’t you tell me about the situation. Who would dare go against me? And it isn’t that I do not care about the lives of my people, but a plan must be made beforehand! Where will these people hide? Have you considered that? If I was to evacuate several cities, then I would have millions of refugees to deal with. Do you not think Orochi may consider this an easy target?”

Myra’s cheeks puffed up as she glared at Leo. They both had reasonable points, but none were able to get one up over the other. Abbadon finally decided to speak, as tensions on all sides were high. “All of you are unreasonable… There is no doubt. If we work together, defeating Orochi will be a simple task. Our issue is we have no trust or experience in fighting dragons.... The reason Creator Septim had given us Sigil weapons is to save ourselves from situations like this,”

Hearing Abbadon speak, Giron was about to reply, but the doors towards the darkened room suddenly opened. Standing there was a figure that made Myra smile with relief. “Syrana!” Myra’s eyes were reddened and tears welled up. Syrana glanced over at Myra and smiled warmly. She then glanced around and cleared her throat. “I came as soon as I heard. It looks like we are all nearly here? I don’t see Tryil or Driada anywhere?”

Syrana casually walked over to an empty seat beside Myra. Abbadon replied softly to her. “You haven’t heard, have you? Going by what Myra said in your search for someone, I do not blame you, as this information is being kept secret, but Driada has gone missing. No doubt she is working with Azrael.”

Syrana, taking her seat, gave a soft breath and a look of seriousness. “Well that is one down, but Tryil should be here. Wasn’t it his races duty to oversee Orochi’s location or something like that?” Clearly she was unaware of the gravity of the situation. Giron leaned back and gave a relaxed look as he spoke. “That guy is dead from what Abbadon told us.”

Hearing Giron’s words, Syrana gave a serious look of shock. Her heart beat faster and she seemed to be lost in thought. “Regardless if he is dead or not, if we can convince a few dragons to assist us, then what could Orochi possibly do?” This was Leo, who stood up and walked over towards a nearby table with an exquisite set of liquors within crystal bottles. No doubt each one of these were priceless. Of course, since he was one handed, it was somewhat time consuming for him to pour himself a drink.

Syrana glanced over at Leo and smirked a little. “Who could have cut off the arm of the great King Leo Zircus? Was it you, Giron?” She turned to look at Giron, who simply laughed and glared at Leo. “If it was me, I would go for the head, not the arm.”

Hearing this, Leo clenched his teeth and the bottle he clutched was squeezed and shattered in his hand. “Shut your mouths.... As for who did this....once I find that long silver haired bastard I’m going to rip him to pieces.... I want my Spatial Ring back.”

These words immediately caused Myra and Syrana to wince in curiosity, but it was Giron who spoke. “You think you had it tough? That bastard almost killed me with that scythe of his… He even planted some strange black energy in me… If I didn’t lead him to a dragon, no doubt I would have died.” Hearing the word black energy, it was another thought for Syrana and Myra.

Abbadon frowned a little before speaking, “We can assume that he is working with Azrael, but I’m more so interested in why he wanted your Skymetal. What use could he possibly have for an unmeltable ore?” Abbadon was inwardly jealous as he himself wanted the ore to study a little, though Syrana quickly spoke out. “Long silver hair, black energy and Skymetal?... This person you are speaking about, did he also have strange blue eyes and a black robe?”

Abbadon and Leo quickly glanced at Syrana. “You know who that is?!” Abbadon called out in surprise, but before she could reply, a large surge of mana pulsed out across the entire central continent from the eastern side.

All of the Sigil wielders present quickly forgot about Avrin, as they were shocked by how powerful this felt. Abbadon clenched his teeth and looked over to Myra, who was focusing on gathering the intel from every outpost spread across the direction Orochi was flying through. Abbadon knew Myra was the best out of them all at processing information, which was why she was busy waiting for incoming messages.

But as Abbadon glanced over at Myra, he saw she was shaking nervously before she uttered out a sentence. “Letu...Letunia...it’s been destroyed… Orochi is heading to Altea as we speak… He will be here within minutes!” Abbadon’s teeth clenched. “You said it was several hours before he could arr-” Abbadon’s words were cut short as a loud rumbling shook the city.

Several hundred meters above, in the sky, the air seemed to distort before mana began to clump up together and form a large white rune that spun at a 60 degree angle before expanding out. The center of the rune suddenly collapsed in on itself to reveal a blue ripple of space. From within the space an enormous figure suddenly shot out from within before it hovered above Altea, this was none other than Orochi, who was now glancing down casually at the city.

Of course, following behind Orochi was Azrael, who had a nervous look. “-A teleportation gate without the need of constructing a rune array...incredible… Just how powerful is this monster?-” Oblivious to Azrael’s thoughts, Orochi glanced down to see all the people who were pointing up at it with terror and fear, knowing what a dragon looked like in an instant. “I’m done warming up, you cowards can all come out to meet your fates!” Orochi’s words resounded with a large tremor as it pressed down upon the city.

He got no reply. His flame affinity head smirked. “Very well then, if what I have done wasn’t enough to get you out, then let me give you all another push!” The head’s mouth opened before a sphere of flame began to gather. It was about to fire off the vortex, before a thin bolt of green light smashed into it and caused it to explode in the creature's mouth, causing it to shudder slightly.

“You....” This was the first time Orochi had been hurt. Although it was a weakened sphere, it was directly in its mouth. The head was injured, but not overwhelmingly. Glancing down, Orochi spotted Syrana, who was frowning while aiming her Sigil weapon towards Orochi. “You better evacuate this place...” Syrana spoke towards Leo, who was nervously glancing up with Caliburn wielded in his remaining hand.

“There won’t be time… Everyone is already panicking..” He spoke with regret in his voice. He could see the streets were filled with people already fleeing. The guards stationed around the city were doing their best to lead everyone out, but there were some who abandoned everything and left.

“Tsh… Go help them, we will try and stall for time.” Syrana spoke before she roared: “Surging Thorns!” The warbow Eclipse began to glow with a green light before an arrow of nature affinity mana formed with glowing thorns seemingly spiraling around it. From there, Syrana began to fire off one after another towards Orochi, who simply glanced down at her and the others with disgust.

The arrows all smashed against Orochi, causing small scratches and marks to appear, though the primary effect were the thorns that sprung out and began to encircle Orochi in an attempt to bind him.

Giron then revealed himself as he lunged up and roared out with laughter. “I’ve never killed a dragon before, you will be my first!! Taste my Dragon Slayer!” With the greataxe Sigil weapon Ursa in hand, it built up an energy that was released the moment he slashed towards Orochi. The wave of sharp and violent energy shot towards it, who frowned with disdain.

Though at the same time, the others also began to attack. Leo had no choice but to rush off to assist his people. Despite being arrogant, he knew with his current state he wouldn't be of much help. He truly also didn’t want any more humans to perish. If he was to reveal himself, some order would be returned.

Abbadon and Skrawl had yet to reveal themselves, but Myra had already finished an incantation. “Surging Wrath!” The nature affinity thorns that had surrounded Orochi, who was still floating in the air, suddenly thickened and expanded rapidly. In a near instant, they had completely engulfed him in a spherical thorn prison.
